We planned an overnight stop in Bristol and chose this hotel based on reviews and location. This was our third hotel in 5 nights during a anniversary excursion, having stayed at the Virgin Hotel-Nashville for one night (all glitz, no service or room amenities) and the Hilton-Downtown Nashville (excellent location, helpful staff, great rooms) already. The Bristol was the best of the three though. The location, excellent, located next to the Birthplace of Country Music location, and one block off State street and local shops and restaurants. It has two places to eat on location, Vivians (1st floor restaurant) and Lumac (rooftop bar/lounge). The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and had the best Covid-19 protocols in place of all three hotels we had stayed at. If we ever go back to Bristol, we hope to stay at The Bristol!

Hotel's Favourite
We are New Yorker City couple on a road trip decided to upgrade from the usual roadside chain hotels and check out the Bristol, found an easy 5 minutes off the freeway yet tucked away in a cute historic town. What a gem: the sparkling room, the staff, the rooftop restaurant, the location, all top shelf! -Beautiful well appointed room, felt brand new. We had a Heritage Suite with nice sitting area, great shower, nice quiet AC, mini fridge, ice maker on the hall, and one of the most comfortable mattresses we’ve had in a hotel in a long time. Nice touches cool ceiling light/fan. Luxury Frette linens! -Only complaint and a very minor one is the Kurig coffeemaker in the room delivers pretty gross coffee for the overall quality of this place. There’s no lobby coffee offered (only in full restaurant) but that may have been a Covid limitation on service. -Outstanding Food: Normally we avoid hotel restaurants but the rooftop restaurant had just reopened during Covid and offered beautiful views and open air dining so we gave it a shot. OMG everything we ate was a home run: fried green tomatoes were simple and ultra-fresh, pork shank tender and succulent, trout was more deep fried than pan fried so a little heavier than expected but perfectly prepared. Great wine list and we were offered $5 per glass all night as a Wednesday special. The most kind and helpful server, thanks Brayden!! -Staff was friendly and efficient especially Cody at check in whose description of the restaurant was spot on. -Pet friendly, we usually don’t travel with our dog but did this time and she was welcomed with a cute pet bed and bowls already in the room. We really appreciated this policy. -Fantastic overall value. Warning the pet fee is very high at $75 but in the total picture including our dinner the Bristol experience was a great value ... honestly not much more than the terrible dorm room like chain places we visited along the rest of our road trip. What a special find this place is. Congrats to the designers and the owners for giving this cute town of Bristol such a boutique gem of luxury. We would recommend this to anyone in the area or passing through for the night.

Thank you so much, Sf_winos! Our hotel is in the perfect location for travelers looking for something upscale from the norm but close to the interstate. We strive to provide an atmosphere that you can only find here at The Bristol Hotel. We enjoy taking the time to make sure our rooms are a pleasant surprise to our guests who are in need of a good nights sleep with our luxury room amenities. I would like to apologize for your experience with the Keurig in your room. We will make it a point to go through each Keurig to make sure all are dispensing clean water. Unfortunately, you are correct about the lobby coffee. We normally offer free coffee in the lobby to all of our guest but due to restrictions with Covid-19, we cannot offer that amenity at this time. I'm so glad that you got to dine with us, and thank you for taking a chance on us! We have put in a lot of effort to make sure our guests feel comfortable dining in an open space area at our Rooftop Bar, Lumac. Our Chefs really know how to go above and beyond on the food that comes out of our kitchen. Top it off with Brayden serving you and it's easy to see that you were delighted! Brayden and Cody will love reading these comments. Thank you for bringing your fury friend to stay with us, We understand that $75 may come as a surprise and we do our best to inform all of our guests of this fee and we put this money to good use. This fee goes into making sure we pamper our fury friends as much as possible with clean pet beds, luxury food and water bowls and a welcome treat package. We enjoy having pets in our facility and strive to make it the cleanest hotel that you or your pet has stayed in. We're so glad that you stopped by! Stepping out of the norm can sometimes lead to you to your new normal, that's what we hope to be the next time you're in Bristol! See you again, soon.

The historical building has been tastefully updated and modernized. The room has the most modern conveniences. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was in keeping with a boutique hotel. The bath linens were plush. We highly recommend this hotel, especially since the rates were comparable to hotels of much lesser caliber.

The hotel itself was very average. Would have benn better off saving the money and booking at a cheaper holiday inn or Fairfield hotel. Beds were hard and room was right next to elevator so a little noisy. Also had a very small stain on comforter, nothing gross but noticeable. Not all thay terrible of a place but definitely not worth the price. Should be a $99.00 a night room, anything more is rip off for this place.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel twice in the past week as I made my way up and down I-81. The first visit I got a special cyber Monday rate of $79. Comfortable bed, small wire enclosed ceiling fan that created a very nice white noise so I didn't need to use the app on my phone. Beautiful tiled shower. I ate dinner at the restaurant each night of my stay. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The steak that I ordered on my first visit was one of the most tender I've ever had and was cooked perfectly. My favorite part of a meal is the dessert. The seasonal cheesecake was cinnamon roll....delicious.. On my second stay I was given a $20 food voucher that I forgot to use at dinner so had breakfast the next morning.....delicious French toast.... I would highly recommend the hotel and it's restaurant to anyone traveling to Bristol.
