The pros:

1. Food (all vegetarian) was delicious, creative, and ample, and helped me avoid the blood sugar ups and downs I’m accustomed to with my regular diet. Teas were delicious and a nice way to start the day. No desserts, FYI!

2. Loved the gym (and the morning circuit class) and the hikes.

3. Treatments (massages, etc.) were lovely.

4. Mattress and pillows were comfortable (but see below re temperature issues).

5. Staff were lovely!

6. Loved the farm and the animals.

The cons:
1. I was in a double room, arranged such that the air conditioner was blowing directly on my friend’s bed (so she was cold sleeping) and not at all on my bed (so I slept hot). In the middle of the night, I removed the comforter from the sheets so that I had a chance of sleeping. I did not sleep well at all throughout my stay.

2. We were told not to not flush toilet paper, perhaps due to a septic field problem (we were pretty sure we smelled some septic odors outside one day), and a permanent enough situation that signs have been placed in all private and public bathrooms. The little trash cans everywhere smelled like urine, and I was in a public restroom one morning when the housekeeping staff was cleaning the restroom, and it was pretty unpleasant.

3. The meals were served on an odd schedule for me (maybe it was fine for others). All times were somewhat approximate — if lunch is “at 1:30,” sometimes we weren’t served until 2:00. Same with dinner. There is nothing other than fruit between meals. We were very hungry the first day, and then realized we needed to eat a lot at meals!

Advice: if you need smaller meals during the day, bring some snacks to keep in your room — problem solved! Be aware of the septic issues.

My first solo mini vacation at Eupepsia Wellness Resort was a total pleasant surprise, and a greatly needed rejuvenation time. My visit was during the Mother's Day weekend, 2024. I selected the detox package.

The whole staff was such a welcoming and knowledgeable team. The other guests were equally friendly and fun to socialize with. My room was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed every freshly made meal by your outstanding chef. The touch of an international menu was a delicious delight. The use of the salt chamber completely cleared my respiratory system. The yoga, gym and hiking activities helped strengthen my body and mind. This resort had the most extensive gym, I have ever seen. I participated in many first-time activities that provided such memorable and relaxing experiences. The whole facility has a calm appearance and views. I highly recommend this wellness resort. Great thanks and appreciation go out to Samar for encouraging me to visit and to Jaimi, the uber driver for wonderful services.

I look forward to my return and extending my visit at Eupepsia!

Thankfully yours,

Jeanette Jones

What an amazing and incredible first time experience for myself, 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters! All of us came to Eupepsia bringing our baggage with us and left with an incredible sense of peace and a calm demeanor that is still with us a month later.
Everything here is tops! The serene landscape is so beautiful. Everything is immaculately clean! The most delicious, perfectly created vegetarian food I ever laid my eyes on was so delicious. I hope they will create a Recipe Book in the future.
Each person of this community has a real, genuine loving heart for their guests, each other and life in general. The spa itself offers a wide variety of relaxation and phenominal Ayurvedic treatments that balance your being. Thank you so much for the best experience of my life Joana, Shivani, Tarek and Zahar, and all who give of themselves to make people welcome and comfortable at Eupepsia. The best Spa in the world!

I searched for wellness resorts on line and found Eupepsia. I went for 6 nights in January to prepare for 2023 and LOVED evert minute of my stay. Even before I arrived Joana was welcoming and answered all of my questions. She's very outgoing and makes every guest feel special.

Every meal was healthy and delicious. The kitchen is open and I watched the chef and his staff prepare many meals as they talked and laughed with each other. The meals were made with love. I watched an employee set the tables, making sure everything was perfect.

I enjoyed the family style meals and the ability to get to know the other guests. I traveled solo and made many new friends. I'm proud to say that I broke my coffee habit while at Eupepsia and I feel and sleep better because of that.

The treatments were out of this world! Every single massage and facial, scrub, and more helped me heal mentally and physically. I kept my phone and lap top off during my visit. I've never felt so relaxed.

Every area of the resort is neat and clean and beautiful.

I will be back for sure. Self care is not selfish. It's necessary.

My visit to Eupepsia was just the recharge I needed to start the year right. From the very comfortable rooms and top-flight amenities to the wonderful people, Eupepsia sets a new standard for wellness retreats in the United States. I love the setting, perfect for hikes around the beautiful property or just relaxing under the sky and stars. The food is excellent, tasty, in-season, and clean, with many of the ingredients coming from the gardens on the property. They were able to easily (and deliciously!) accommodate my need for dairy and gluten free meals. What really stands out for me is the treatments, equipment, and amenities. The gym is just amazing and I loved the morning circuits that kick-start the day. The infrared sauna, saltwater float tank, and jacuzzi are big favorites and the array of ayurvedic and detoxifying treatments left me more refreshed, centered, and clear than I've been in years. Best of all, the staff are so gracious, welcoming, and kind, and the resort attracts great guests, so you can have as much good company or solo time as you'd like. I feel I've made new friendships and my fellow guests and I are already planning to meet for hikes in our region. Looking forward to staying again soon!

Eupepsia is exactly what so many of us need: a place to truly rest, relax, and restore. It has everything I was looking for in a retreat, and more. The food is the kind of healthy all the articles and studies advocate for, but which is difficult to achieve in daily life. Meals came mostly from their on-site farm/greenhouse, we’re tailored to individual dietary needs, and were fantastically tasty. The vegan chocolate cake chef made one night in honor of a guest’s birthday may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Not the best vegan thing, the best thing of all things. The fitness equipment is cool, and the exercise pools were immaculate and fun to use. Relaxation treatments were well done. I was amazed by the salt water float in particular. It sounded like nothing, just floating in a pool, but the salt/magnesium in the water took away muscle stiffness and aches like a miracle cure. Also, I was nervous about being a woman traveling alone, off the tourist track. The staff and guests made me feel completely at home. Don’t get me wrong, if you choose to keep to yourself that’s perfectly do-able. But I like to feel connected, and loved the family dinner atmosphere that developed around meals. I had toyed for months with the idea of trying to get a friend to travel with me. Although I went alone, I felt like I went with 10 friends because the conversations around meals were interesting and encouraging. My room was super comfortable, the views were lush and green, and the costs super reasonable. The COVID protocols (guests tested beforehand) made it comfortable to interact with other guests without masks. They even packed me a bag lunch with the most amazing panini ever for my trip home, wrapped beautifully with paper, string, and a sprig of fragrant lavender from the garden. I get the sense this place is a home and labor of love for the staff. As a person who struggles to unwind, it makes me more relaxed just knowing this place exists. I’m planning my next visit, and to head back as often as possible.

Exactly what you need to reset from the daily grind!

Iam the Executive Director of a small non-profit and was looking for a wellness retreat to spend a much needed sabbatical, after 7 years of service. I settled on Eupepsia after much online research because of the all-inclusive apporoach and cost. It looked amazing and was only a few hours drive from my home in Central Virginia. From the moment I stepped out of my car, there was a feeling of assurance and relief to see this very special place. It is nestled in the foothills of the most breath taking rolling farm country with majestic mountain backdrops. My entire stay... I felt like royalty with the most top of the line hospitality and service around. The entire retreat was 7 nights and I didn't want to leave. Every minute of each day was spent in their amazing facilities and new habits were forming on wellness for me and it was easily attained and encouraged during my re-set from the daily grind. The staff in every way is exceptional! Some of the kindest and dearest people you will ever meet. The food is prepared with excellence and is the best I've ever had at a retreat. Fellowship is shared around a family style table and new connections were made daily. The treatments are top notch and preformed by the most skilled proffessionals. This is a wonderful place where all are welcome and you will leave a different person, if you soak it all in. Endless activities indoor and out, spa treatments, and rest and relaxation abounds! I have already begun to plan another trip with my husband and friends with in the year. 5 stars is not enough. This place is remarkable!

Eupepsia is my go-to sanctuary—this was my 9th visit, and every time, it feels like a completely new experience. Each season brings something different, but the heart of this place never changes. It’s all about healing, balance, and focusing on what truly matters in life.

I’ve come solo, with different friends, and most recently with my husband. No matter who I’m with, I always leave feeling refreshed and renewed. The salt chalet, the farm, homemade chocolate, nourishing meals, and incredible hospitality make each stay special. It’s a place where I can truly reset, recharge, and reconnect.

My family actually loves when I go because they say I come back a nicer person!

This is a wonderful, unique resort in the mountains in Virginia. It is in a beautiful area right next to a farm, so you have breakfast watching the cows in the pasture!
The staff was excellent, particularly Suma, Tariq and Joanna. They bascially catered to all the guests by meeting all requests to the minute detail and guaranteed safety during this COVID crisis.
As for the excellent food, Tariq is the Chef who adapted his dishes to each person's need and taste. It is healthy, vegetarian and very tasty!
As for the sports, the guided hikes were wonderful in the mountains and even on the Appalachian Trail! There were also small jacuzzi/swimming pools where you can do your own water aerobics and a nice gym.
As for yoga, there wasn't much at all. At first, I was a little disappointed, but the rest of the place and people made up for this lack over my two-week stay.
I indulged in a few massage treatments, which were very good.
