This place has huge potential but overall, it’s lacking. Rooms are ok but thebathrooms are very outdated. The hotel staff is friendly just don’t call from your room, they never answer the phone. The restaurant is SLOW and greatly lacks Topnotch service.

Loved the amazing scenery — beautiful full autumn colors and full range of upward slopes. Location is near to a variety of quality restaurants, Ben & Jerry’s factory, cider houses, etc. staff is topnotch— everyone from concierge and front desk to spa staff and waitstaff at The Roost lobby restaurant extend exceptional guest services. BIG PROBLEM IS THAT THIS RESORT NEEDS TOTAL RENOVATION OR RECONSTRUCTION!!!! In fact, this resort is at least 7+ years past due from its expiration date. The spa showers had extensive mold, the steam room was broken and more mold visible through the glass, the sauna benches dipped and creaked when anyone sat, one of our wall thermostats in our room didn’t work, the ladies’ spa toilets barely functioned, paint was missing or tiles were chipped. The massage therapists were outstanding but using the moldy showers made it very difficult to feel relaxed after massage treatments.

Hello ChefPulitsir, Thank you for the feedback. My sincere apologies that the spa experience fell short. We have renovations in the spa upcoming including new carpets scheduled in November as well as pressure steam cleaning and deep cleans already planned throughout the spa to ensure our product is in good order after very busy summer and fall seasons. I hope you'll offer us an opportunity to host you again so that you can see the efforts our team puts into our product to ensure your satisfaction. Kind Regards, Jeremy Fraize Rooms Manager

My wife and I stayed here while visiting with our daughter and her fiancé. The property is above average; the room is average. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property covers a large area. You have to walk a few minutes from the main building to get to the outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, as well as the building with the indoor swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. There are outdoor fire pits as well. The resort is pet friendly. If you bring your (allowed) pet, you can stay on the first floor of the main building. Our room (337) was spacious and comfortable. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were provided in pump bottles mounted to the tub/shower wall. We did have a problem with the HVAC unit, where it would not work with the control on the wall to keep the room cool. (The problem was fixed the next day.) We requested floor fans the first night to cool off the room, which were not available. It was also very noisy when the unit turned on. You could also hear some road noise from the room. We used the "Do Not Disturb" sign to ensure that housekeeping would not come into our room. We had plenty of towels and hanging space in the bathroom for our stay. I felt that adequate precautions were taken for cleanliness in these COVID times.

The resort was very nice but we expected a bit more accomodation. Spent over $1k for one night in a town home. A faulty fire alarm sensor cost us an hour standing in the rain with a family of 5. Of course, this is not the fault of anyone at the resort but, overheard a staff member say that this occurred a month earlier as well. We requested a 1 hr late checkout upon checkin and was told to “check back tomorrow”. When calling the next day was flat out told no. Restaurant service was friendly and food was good but very slow. We absolutely respect staffing problems and issues outside of anyones control but expected a bit more service.

The hotel was on the pricey side probably because of the gym, indoor pool, and restaurant. When we visited, the restaurant was closed due to Covid-19, and the bar that was open was on the expensive side. The room itself comes with the usual amenities and is comfortable.
