Just got back from H10 Mediterranean-Stayed here as a family of 5 with my 13,10 and 5 year old
Wanted to give our honest review as I found it helpful when we were first looking at booking this hotel …
Once dropped by our coach outside the hotel we found the Hotel entrance through the barrier up the hill on the right.
The reception area is very smart and felt newly refurbished
Opposite is the splash park which we only used once on the day of arrival.
It was really good for my 5 year old, my 10 year old also enjoyed spending some time there-Lots of sun beds available when we arrived at 12 pm and nice they have a lifeguard to keep watch.
Check in is 3pm and the lady was very friendly and helpful - we were able to store our cases in an (unlocked) side room which was fine by me (bedrooms take time to clean and prepare so understood the 3pm check in policy)
Booked a one bedroom apartment and was self catering so had the kitchenette which was super useful for storing drinks cold in the fridge which was really nice and cold
Tip- take a small cool bag if you can and then you can take your cold drinks to the pool
Also had a small Freezer compartment but didn’t use that.
Our 1 bed apartment was just big enough for 5 of us for one week, any longer and a bigger apartment would have been much better
Requested a pool view/high room
Didn’t get the pool view but we were not fussed as the view we had out the back looking over PortAventura in the distance was fab. (Theme park worth the visit) My 13 year old loved it but it was busy
Stayed in B block 6th floor was nice and quiet.
The room was clean but basic had a kettle so I was happy with that
Big balcony with an airer for drying the swimwear etc but only 2 chairs for a family of 5
They have shampoo and shower gel which was a nice touch and nice big towels.
Rooms were swept and mopped most days with fresh towels
Handy supermarket on site for fresh croissants and baguettes - Yolanda was helpful and friendly (use Carrefor down the road for a bigger selection or one next to Pancho snack bar at the bottom of the hill )
Rep recommended the hotel next door for lunch but we didn’t enjoy the food from there and much preferred the H10 snack pool bar for lunch.
My 5 year old went to the kids club once but she missed her siblings so wasn’t really for her. When I went in the staff were great fun and the kids looked like they were enjoying playing the games that were set up. No hesitation in leaving my daughter in there had she wanted to stay longer.
Pizza restaurant was really good and we ate once in the main hotel restaurant.
Food was hot, much better than expected given the volume they cater for and staff worked hard to restock food and clean up. Was allowed to take my wine out to the outside bar when dinner was finished.
Desserts weren’t great as they didn’t taste of anything but they looked good
The pools around this hotel are really enjoyable
Kids loved the pirate ship with its 3 slides and the other pool vibe was great with music and games /bingo etc
I literally spent most days at the pirate ship pool- Lifeguards did a great job keeping everyone safe, thankyou!!
They blow their whistles at the correct time ie when kids are climbing up the slide -no inflatable or balls allowed in the pools but that’s understandable given you can’t see kids under them If they get into trouble !
Waterpolo organised by the staff allowed a ball but because it’s a supervised game that’s fair enough in my opinion
Swim vests/aids were allowed
Staff worked hard clearing up round the pool and sun beds were great -nice and comfortable not the white plastic I was expecting
Tip- if you want a sunbed for the day you need to queue up around 9:40 am- pool opens at 10am
It was abit of a stampede but not as bad as I was expecting and always managed to get some.
Towels we’re removed off sun beds if you didn’t arrive back to your bed by 10:30am from what I witnessed
I guess to stop people going out for hours and leaving no beds for other people - I think this is fair and done with care
Entertainment was actually really good- never had a problem finding tables and we arrived at varied times each night
Kid’s entertainment 8-10pm then adults for the last hour -Michael Jackson tribute was brilliant!!! I was so impressed with this and then we watched Fantasy Bubbles and a magic show.
The other nights entertainment were by the animation team - this was funny doing mum vs dad games and guess the song/movie
They all worked so hard making sure we all had a fab time !
Daisy the mascot was fun for the kids and worked hard especially in this heat!
Staff I remember on the bar Jose, Mariano serving lovely cocktails,Yolanda makes delicious crepes every evening, Tanit in the animation team and Saara who worked in the pool snack bar was very efficient! Food good here especially the Tuna baguette!
We got a taxi into Salou but struggled getting back so used the Plana bus
Number 74 I think- if you get stuck go into a bar and they will call a taxi for you.
Didn’t go to the main beach but did walk down to the small one at the bottom of the hotel -Tiny but beautiful

Pancho snack bar outside the hotel at the bottom of the hill was worth the visit
We went three times ! Yolanda was very kind and helpful
They have some trampolines for the kids 3 euros for 10 mins

Aquopolis water park was worth the visit but buy speedy passes!
Got a taxi for 5 people for around 16 euros
Overall I really enjoyed this hotel and would definitely recommend it for families.
Just needs a bedroom/bathroom refresh as they look tired but who spends that much time in the hotel room anyways …
It’s nice to be set back from busy Salou town especially with young children who were happy to be in a pool all day.
Thankyou H10!! :)

Family of 4, children 4 and 8. We had a great room in the A block on the 3rd floor. It was quiet and faced out towards the countryside including a view of Portaventura theme park, at night you could see their end of day fireworks. No sea view in our room but it was very restful. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment which comes with two single beds in the bedroom, sofa bed and bunk bed in the lounge. We paid per day for half board at 54 euros for the 4 of us. It was sometimes very busy in the restaurant but it depended on the time you visited and how busy the hotel was with guests coming and going.

All of the staff were very attentive and worked hard. I enjoyed the water aerobics at 12 and our children were entertained by the animation team at the mini disco. Our 4 year old loved Daisy. The hotel was full of different nationalities and we enjoyed this. The animation team spoke in a variety of languages and worked their socks off! Always full of energy and smiling. We were also treated to some excellent entertainment acts, including a Michael Jackson history act, twin circus, rock band and an acrobatic team from Mongolia.

The pool areas were well maintained. I liked the fake grass as it prevented slipping. The sun beds were comfortable and we always managed to find one no matter what time of day we arrived. The life guards were good at ensuring everyone followed the rules and our children enjoyed the pirate ship slides.

We didn’t get collected until 6pm so we stored our luggage in the luggage room which also had a shower, toilet and a small area to get freshened up which was great as we had checked out of our room at 12 and didn’t pay any extra to keep the room on.

The pizza restaurant on site was great. Lovely pasta portions too. We paid for half board for 5 out of the 7 days, we paid daily and it worked out more expensive eating out. The restaurant had a wide selection of food and I enjoyed the good selection of fruit and veg alongside wonderful desserts. The staff were constantly cleaning, changing food over and keeping the ship running. We went for walks to the local beaches and our favourite beach was Platja Llarga this was a nice flat beach about a 10/15 min walk away. We did catch the bus into the beach at main Salou however it was very busy there both day and night, the fountains were beautiful but for me, the town felt a little overwhelming and unsafe, I say that as a city girl. Transport on the regular buses was cheap and the taxis were also very reliable too. There are a few shops and restaurants up the road, the walks are hilly but I enjoyed the local scenery - even pushing a pushchair in 35’ heat!

Overall an excellent stay and we would highly recommend it here for families.

Just returned from our one week holiday half board, four adults and a two year old. The holiday got off to a slow start as we arrived at 11.30 but didn't get our rooms until 2.30. There is a store to leave your cases so make sure you have your costume and towels handy. Our rooms were clean and a good size, the beds are comfy and bedding of a good standard. The bathroom and towels could do with a renewal. The food was really good both breakfast and evening meal there was always plenty of choice. The pool opens at 10, the staff remove any towels left unattended. I would say you can easily get a bed up to 10.30 after that it may be a struggle. The kids mini disco is well run and the entertainment staff work really hard throughout the day. The bar staff work hard but I would say they are short staffed as getting served can be a bit of a chore. Overall we have had a lovely holiday and would return. One suggestion to the management please put signs up at your bar area and snack bar as menus hidden under the counter doesn't work.

Stayed here end of June 2022 for a week, half board. Had hoped it would be quieter as it was not in school holidays, but it was full of young children and toddlers, who were catered for extensively! Hotel location in cap salou was about a 10 minute bus ride from main resorts, and the whole area is very hilly. Plus points were the staff, all of them were friendly and helpful, a definite asset, cleanliness and a warm pool. Rooms were spacious But if you are half board they do Not have any tea or coffee making facilities in them, we had to hire a kettle from reception for €2 a day, otherwise you would be waiting until breakfast at 8am before getting a hot drink, which is one of the reasons we marked this hotel down. Another negative for us was not having a drink with the evening meal, it had to be paid for extra. The entertainment was amazing if you were under 10, otherwise forget it, 2 mini disco's a night then an hour of quizzes or on 3 nights, a hired act.Drinks were reasonably priced in the bar. Although there were 3 pools for kids, they were in the bigger pool dive bombing and splashing and on our last day, it had to be closed for over an hour as one of the kids had pooed in it!!! Staff dealt with the problem promptly, but it was not ideal . By far our biggest problem with this hotel was the food. Breakfast was OK, but no fresh eggs cooked in front of you, or omelette although there was a lot of cheese, and coffee and juice were available. We had to specify a time slot for our evening meal on check in, but the food was not good, very small selection of lukewarm dishes, my husband ended up eating from the kids section, and again nothing was being cooked to order, just kept in trays In the oven and topped up. I don't eat pudding but normally have cheese and biscuits...don't know what happened to all the breakfast cheese as there was hardly any in the evening and no crackers. We didn't bother for 2 nights and ate elsewhere and missed 3 breakfasts, very disappointed. All in all, some good and some bad, definitely Not 4 star, we will not return here.

We stayed in H10 Mediterranean in July 2022 for one week. We stayed in a one bed apartment self catering. Our apartment was in block B level 5 so we had to use two lifts to access our apartment which was a little annoying if you had to make the trip several times in a short period. Our apartment didn’t have any views but it was very quiet. The apartment was clean & the fridge, toaster etc were very handy. The beds were very uncomfortable & we just had light sheets. The cleaning staff were very nice & helpful as were all the staff in the hotel from reception to kids club staff. The kids club was good & very well supervised, we only used it one day but my youngest enjoyed it. The evening entertainment was very good most evenings compared to other hotels we waited in. We didn’t eat in the hotel much, we had breakfast one morning & it was fine & we got take away pizza another evening but had to wait over an hour for it & we had to return it as it wasn’t fully cooked & it was like a bought frozen pizza. Most mornings there was a queue before 10am for sunbeds but staff were good at removing towels if people didn’t use them for a long time. The pool areas are well maintained & clean. We used the laundry facilities which were very handy, you buy a token for €4 in the shop & it’s self-service. There is a lovely small beach near the hotel straight down the hill & we also ate in Route 66 two evenings which is nearby which was very good. There is a bus stop outside the hotel to go into Salou etc as there isn’t a whole lot to do directly outside of the hotel. Grace O’Malley’s near Route 66 is nice for a drink.
It’s a good hotel for families, especially younger children & my children enjoyed the slides & evening kids entertainment. The staff were all very friendly & helpful.

We have just came back from the best week here at H10!

We arrived just before 12… we could check in till 2 but that didn’t bother us we got told where the snack bar was so we could get a drink and something to eat so we did… the snack bar by the pool.
We had a lovely snack and drink while we waited for our room to be ready.

Once we checked in we got sorted and went and spent the rest of the day by the pool.

The room was massive, we had a really big balcony looking down on the pool, the room it’s self was so clean, it got cleaned everyday and our bedding and towels were changed everyday.
There is everything you need, massive bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, hand soap and hand cream they also smell amazing!

The pools were great! And weren’t to cold like normal!😂
There is 2 pools one is more of a kids pool with a pirate ship and some slides this pool is open from 10 till 7the other is just a normal pool we’re we spent our time this pool is open from 10 till 6.

The adults only terrace right at the top of the hotel was lovely aswell, beautiful views over cap salou and salou it’s self.
Didn’t try the jacuzzi but there were plenty of people using them also plenty of sun beds up there aswell.

The hotel it’s self if the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at, from the rooms to down by the pool, the snack bars, the super market and the restaurant it was all spotlessly clean.

The restaurant-
Breakfast was lovely, a good choice every morning, from full English to cereal, pastries and yogurts.
Evening meal was the normal, different choice of food every night and something for everyone.

The staff are super friendly and have no trouble helping you with anything.

The entrainment was good, we didn’t have our kids with us but the other kids seemed to being have a great time at the kids disco, and after the kids disco was always something entertaining for the adults.

I can’t comment on the alcohol because am currently pregnant but my husband said it was great.

The waiting staff are amazing and always working so hard, they walk around the pool all day asking if anyone needs anything, when they come with your drink they always clean your table before they put your drinks down the same for the night time when they fetch them to you table, I can’t remember the young man’s man but he was working so hard and worked the full day everyday for the whole week we were there, a big shout out to him because he was so lovely and kind. ( be sure to give them a tip, they definitely deserve it!)

Supermarket- there is a supermarket on site and has everything you need from drinks to bread, crisps, ice creams and everything you could possibly want.
You can also buy your drinks from there and drink them around the pool.

Pizza restaurant- I can’t comment on this as we never ate here but everyone that we spoke to said it was lovely.

All in all we have had the best holiday here and have already booked up for next year for a family holiday!

Reception is well laid out & staff were helpful. When we arrived at lunchtime we had to leave our luggage in the unlocked luggage room till our 3pm check in 🙈
We felt a bit uneasy about that but we had no choice. There was a security guard wondering around but I don’t suppose he would know whose case belonged to who.

Hotel is located near cap Salou which is a much quieter area. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel. Good luck trying to catch a bus or even queuing for one , a lot of rude queue jumpers. It is by far the cheapest way to travel around Salou but we found it stressful! It’s cheaper to buy a plana card. We were told taxis were quite limited , however we had no problem getting a taxi and reasonably priced.

Entertainment - Saturday night is the best, Michael Jackson tribute is good.

Food choice is ok, we always found something we liked however the Choices for British kids was limited. Lots of fish dishes if you are into that.

Lovely clean pools & splash park. Be prepared to queue for a sun bed🙃 we only ever went to the pool late afternoon so there were always plenty of sun beds . You can hire towels from the hotel which is handy.

Rooms are clean & comfortable. Cleaners came in each day to make our beds, cleaned the bathroom, moped the floor, emptied bins & changed our towels.
There is an in room safe which is operated by creating a 4 digit code.
Hairdryer is rubbish , best to take your own.

Our balcony looked directly over the pools & the entertainment stage which was great.

The pros out weigh the cons. Overall a great hotel.

We arrived on the 9th of may check in was straight forward reception staff lovely and really helpful. We stayed in B block level 4 723b high floor with pool and sea views as requested before leaving the request was granted and we had amazing views the best I was very happy. The room was nice and big for four two adults one 13 year old and a 7 year old very clean and tidy clean towels every day could not fault the standards. We were self cating and would really recommend the pizzas and for snacks the end pool bar sold chips hotdogs burgers baguettes freshly made. We used the larger pool at the bottom most and all I can say was the life guard was amazing with my 7 year even checking her arms were inflated correctly and when learning to swim applauding her with encouragement. No floats were allowed but this now appears to be the rules in all hotels as lots of people were talking about this personally I did not have a problem with this if it provided a safer environment. The entertainment was good I really enjoyed the Michael Jackson show. I would definitely return to this hotel as we had an amazing week and it ticked all boxes. Nice and quiet area but bus stop into salou right outside. Thank you for a great holiday we will definitely be returning.

Absolutely wonderful visit to this beautiful hotel ! Covid measures were very strict which made us feel very safe but everyone we encountered went out of their way to make it a wonderful holiday for us !

Jordi, Fran, Anita and all of the animation team work so hard to make sure everyone is having a great time. They provide fun and games throughout the day as well as 2 fantastic mini discos each night followed by a show ! Our 2 kids fell in love with them all and we really appreciated all the effort they went to in order to make our stay so fantastic.

Sebastian works so hard day and night with a wonderful poolside / table service for drinks and always has a kind word for the kids too !

Everyone we encountered from from desk to bar to restaurants to cleaning team - all had a friendly smile and were so eager to help with any questions.

We loved every minute of our time in this gorgeous hotel and would definitely return in the future 🥰

Stayed here as a party if 5 in 2 self catering apartments. A 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom. I am aware that special requests can not be guaranteed but we had requested a high floor with quiet rooms. Both my kids have ASD and have sensory issues regarding noise etc.

We were allocated rooms on the 1st floor in Block B. Room 192 and 176. These rooms were far from quiet. Our room was near the bins and they were emptied every night around 12:30am. Room 176 overlooked the pool and the evening entertainment was loud and went on to the early hours.

We did advise reception we weren't happy and after some backwards and forwards they did let us look at another room but it was at the same end as ours and was overlooking the bins too.

We arrived around 11am, no check in before 3pm. My 2 are older but they struggled, as did we, with the early start and having to wait so long for our room to be ready. There is a small luggage room available with lockers for valuables for €2.

Complex is lovely and well maintained. Rooms could do with a revamp especially the bathrooms. Check out is at 12pm and we could not avail of a late check out room. Downside would be that some people seem to let their kids run wild around the complex, up and down corridors etc with no concern for other people.

Staff were always very helpful and friendly across all areas.

New splash pool is fab. My 11 year loved it and I was able to go on the slides with her.

Is there a Kettle in the Apartments? Or an Iron?
Salou, Spain1 contribution1 helpful vote
Good morning appreciated Sean, if you have booked an apartment a kettle is already included, if you have a hotel room it is not. And in both cases you have to order the iron at reception, with a cost and a deposit that will be returned to you when you return the iron. Public relations department

Dear Luke, during the season and for years many families have been coming with babies and there has never been any complaint or lack of anything in general. For example, we have microwaves available to the customer at different points such as the Restaurant, etc. So if it's nothing very specific you're sure to find what you're looking for. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us here or via social networks Facebook, Instagram, etc. Public Relations department.

You are in the middle of nowhere at this hotel and looking at €30 one way into main Salou. Not even sure there is a McD or KFC, don’t recall seeing one. The food in the restaurant is decent so hope he gets something there
