We stayed one night at this hotel. It is walking distance to the outlet city. The bathroom is not exactly enclosed . Once you opened the door the shower area is next to the main door . It is a glass enclosure so there is totally no privacy. The wash basin of our room is across the shower enclosure and you will have to walk past it to get to the bed. Everything is compact and there’s not much space . Fortunately, the toilet has a door . They didn’t provide any coffee capsules so we got to request for them. There are some free parking spaces outside the hotel and you can park for free. Checking in and out were easy.

Dear RinaSingapore, thanks a lot for your review. Most of our rooms are used as single rooms throughout the week. Many companys have a budget for their business travellers and prefer smaller, practibal rooms. From your description, you were staying in a single room for double use (which is usually communicated to our guests upfront). We have another 3 room categories with double room standard (larger bed, bathroom, etc.). They're called "Large", "Garden" and "Atelier/Studio". We'd be happy to welcome you in one of these categories next time. About the coffee - we apologize - a nespresso coffee machine as well as mineral water is complimentary provided in all our rooms. It must've been a mistake, that no capsules were in your room. Best wishes from Metzingen.

This hotel is located right in the center of the outlet city of Metzingen - walking distance to basically everything. The room was clean and nice and it had all you needed, while the staff was very service minded and friendly. Last but not least, they are running an excellent and recommendable restaurant.

We selected this Hotel as a "stopover" en route to Austria and because of the Outlet stores in Metzingen. The first pleasant surprise was the friendly telephone support we received when we called-in a late arrival. This was followed by an offer to reserve a table at their restaurant, which turned out to be a huge surprise. The meals were excellent and the service impeccable. 'The rooms were clean and comfortable. Finally, the team was "tested" as our son had forgotten his bite plate (orthodontic) in the room. The room staff had retrieved and recorded it, and we were able to get it returned via DHL collection within days! Our compliments to an excellent Team! We shall certainly recommend this hotel to all our friends and hope to return soon.

My husband and I have spent a night in your hotel that is well-located right next to the town church in walking distance to outletcity. The service was incredibly friendly - we had dinner in your restaurant. The food (asparagus plates) were delicious and well-presented. The service took great care of us. A hotel where you feel home! There are real hotel professionals at work here, which can be remembered by the natural-friendly atmosphere, the good cuisine and the nicely equipped rooms. The value for money is right, Wi-Fi is good and parking is available. If you are looking for the outlet hustle and bustle, you can settle here without being disturbed by it, the shops are right next door. All around a Recommendation!

Very disappointed in this hotel, it dose not deserve 4star. It’s hygienically not clean, see the photos from the bathroom and the dusted table.. 2 bottles in the bathroom has no soap, at night no staff available at all even at reception. Towels are smelly. Surprisingly some of the rooms is Air Conditioned and some are not, it’s your luck. The only advantage this hotel has is location.

Dear Doha_trave, thanks for this second review, now on trip advisor. We are very sorry that you were not satisfied with your stay with us. However, we can assure that all rooms are hygienically cleaned. We are using 180°C hot micro-steam to clean all our rooms 100% hygienic, antibacterial and anti viral. Also, it is much healthier for our cleaning staff and our guests. The things you pointed out are definitely not a normal situation, but must‘ve been a human mistake on that day - we sincerely apologize for that and have already discussed these human mistakes with our team. The reception is not staffed 24h in our hotel, but has the required opening hours as a 4-star hotel. However, we are 24h a day available via telephone and have security at the hotel at night for our guests. About the A/C - correct: unfortunately not all the rooms have it yet. This is because of the different stages, the hotel was built in. The newer rooms have thermal cooling instead of A/C, which is much more environmental friendly and works quite well for a cool feeling in the room. We‘d be very happy to get a second chance, were we can proof that we can do much better than you described it and sending you all the best wishes from Metzingen.

We stayed in this hotel and it’s not the first time. It’s simply great and the service is friendly and hospitality is great. The rooms are perfect and you feel very comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and were sitting in the terrasse. Very beautiful and the food was very good. Variety of choice and great wine card. Can only recommend when staying in Metzingen and enjoying the Outlet City.

We're frequent visitors to Metzingen but have never stayed overnight before. This hotel is listed as a four-star property, but believe me, it isn't! I'd say it's a three star, and not a very good one.
We paid more here than we did at the Hilton in Frankfurt, which was vastly superior in every respect and included breakfast! Our "deluxe" room had dirty walls and carpet, the enamel in the bathroom sink was worn and blackened, the furniture was dated (and NOT in the antique sense), and the towels were like sandpaper.
The staff were borderline unfriendly, and generally aloof. Internet was an extra $25 for 24 hours!! Also, the restaurant was VERY overpriced, so we recommend either the pizzeria down the road or the guesthouse "Rose" around the corner.
It's a great location for those who are in town to shop for more than a day, but I'd really suggest driving back to Stuttgart to overnight there instead. There's not much to do here other than shop, so we won't be staying at this hotel (or anywhere else in Metzingen) when we roll through next time.
P.S. If you don't like to wake up to the sound of Churchbells at 6am, then this is definitely not the place for you.

This hotel was a nightmare experience. Firstly the hotel room was dirty, lots of dust and stained towels... not a nice first impression, but as we were just passing by during a long drive for one night we just wanted to get a good night’s sleep. Well surprise surprise, there was a wedding in the hotel which started at 10 and the music was so loud we felt like being in the wedding room ourselves. We called reception to ask what is going on and they were super rude telling us they have a wedding, and that no they don t agree they should inform guests of this, and no they have no other room, and no there is no ending time to the ordeal as it s a private property and it can go on until the morning... Left us pretty speechless and given we had an early drive there wasn t much choice but to check out and move down the street (much better service from the start) to get our sleep. The receptionist was rude and told us she cannot refund us more than 20% and even that as a ‘gesture of good will’. So basically we paid the almost full price for leaving our luggage for a couple of hours after our late check in. A very expensive luggage storage. No apology. No management response. Never again!

One colleague might have made the wrong decision that night, however, this is the missing "management response". Dear Gordon, thanks a lot for your question. The Outletcity Metzingen has a shopping shuttle that goes from the "Messe" to Metzingen. Unfortunately I can't link the website here so if you just go to the outletcity website and look for shuttle, you'll find some information.
Apart of that, the fastest way from the Messe to Metzingen is indeed by car. It is only one "freeway" with no traffic lights or anything so if the traffic is good you can make it in 15 minutes - certainly quicker than from Stuttgart city centre. The negative side is, there is no train or subway and taxis are pretty expensive with about 40-50€ per drive.
