We stayed at Hotel Rock Noir for 8 days on a family and friends ski trip and it was such a find. The evening meals were of a very high quality and the staff on reception were so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The location directly opposite the gondola was very handy and avoided long walks with skis and boots. I would highly recommend this hotel we had a lovely stay and will return.

Fabulous boutique hotel situated at the foot of the mountain. Amazing ski in – ski out hotel.
The staff were friendly, extremely attentive and gave us a very warm welcome. The rooms are cosy, well designed and quiet, although way too hot. The radiators were on full blast throughout the hotel the entire time we were there and it was stifling.
Facilities include a small pool and sauna, which were enjoyable to use after a day’s skiing. The glass door on the sauna needs fixing as it is very difficult to open, and the sauna, like the rest of the hotel, is perhaps over-hot if that is possible.
Breakfast is absolutely yummy – everything was laid out beautifully and there was nothing missing. Options ranged from muesli, cereal, oats and dried fruits to classic French pastries as well as eggs and bacon.
The hotel is very beautifully designed and has a classic, minimal style.
We also ate dinner here one night. We hadn’t planned on eating here as the hotel doesn’t do anything to advertise the restaurant or encourage its guests to have a meal here (for example offering discounts or providing a bottle of wine if you dine), and the atmosphere always seemed very lacking in the restaurant. We did end up having dinner here one night though and the food was really good. I had the best vegetarian burger I have ever had, and the kids’ chicken nuggets were beautifully home-made and good quality meat. My advice to the hotel would be to work harder to advertise the restaurant – the cooking is very good and I think the restaurant could do with more people benefiting from the chef skills!

We have recently stayed at the wonderful Rock Noir hotel for our skiing trip. In terms of location, it is great, as it is right across from the Avaret lift. The hotel design is very good and our room was lovely. The staff are great and helpful and the breakfasts were good. There is good ski storage with heated holders for your boots.
The spa needs a lot of attention. It almost seems that the designer forgot about it. There are not enough sunbeds and there is a noisy a/c unit dominating one end. The sauna door would not close properly and there was rarely jugs of water for the guests. There is no music, teas or love which is a shame as, after a hard days skiing, a spa is a perfect place to relax.

50m from the start of the Aravet slopes, it is an excellent address run by a lovely team. We had a great time and the team took great care of us and was very efficient. However, at first we are a little surprised by the hotel because the exterior look may not match the service it offers inside. The bar and restaurant areas are very nice with a warm decor and we have a great time there. the ski room is very well done and very practical. In the evening there is a small fire on the outside terrace and it is very pleasant. The team welcomes families (even with dogs) in an adorable way and we feel as good as at home. Everyone is available and helpful. We will definitely come back

We had a lovely staff at Rock Noir. The hotel is located just by the cable car, offering easy access to skiing for all levels. The staff were all friendly and helpful without exception, but a special mention for Ornella, who went out of her way to offer great service with a smile - a great job to the team. We will be coming back.

Family of 4 with two teenagers we spent three nights at this place. We loved the staff, very nice, young always smiling. We had diner at the hotel the three nights and really enjoyed the food. Great restaurant!!

- the 1er spa is indoor with pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The amount is 10 € per day and per pers ou 35 € per week. Open 10 am to 20 pm.
- Scandinavian spa with sauna and hot tube outdoor (on the terrasse with view on the mountain. This sauna and hot tube is warmed by wood. It's open from 17 pm to 20 pm. it's forbiden for children (min 18 years) and its free
