Stayed here for 1 night when we were unable to board our flight this week since it’s right by the airport. The rooms are disappointing, outdated and don’t seem very clean. No amenities aside from hand soap and bath towels. The ac kept our room cold but dripped all night, we had to stick a trash can underneath it and listen to it drip while we tried to sleep. We asked for a nonsmoking room but there was an ash tray in it (didn’t smell though). The staff that brought us to the room was not friendly and didn’t help us with our bags up many flights of stairs, he just walked far ahead and let us deal with them. Breakfast was minimal and not very good. Only plus side is location and the pool. We paid hardly any more for a much nicer resort the night before, wish we had just gone back there.

Was a bit hesitant to stay based on other reviews. Stayed in room 306 for $35 aus per night. Room was clean and well maintained, also room was cleaned daily. Great air con that chilled the room quickly. Staff were amazing also smiling and quick to joke with us. Very honest and highly recommend money change with great rates directly opposite the hotel. See Bec in the shop next door for SIM card for your phone. Close to lippo mall for the supermarket they are a bit pricey so only went there when I could not access the things I needed in Circle K. Great restaurants near by, if you turn left out of the hotel into the lane way, there is a fantastic cafe just down the lane way on the right hand side. The best pork ribs ever. Breakfast is included in the price but is basic. If looking for a great brunch spot, try Gracie Kelly’s which is the Irish pub about 10 min walk. Will definitely stay here again

I think you can’t pay low prices and expect 5* luxury.
The room was clean and spacious.
The bedding was clean .
The air con worked well.
The shower was hot.
Breakfast was equivalent of $5aud - coffee was hot , a simple buffet. Eggs cooked on demand.
Staff polite
Wouldn’t pass health and safety for lighting / barriers - and you need to be able to carry your own bags up stairs
Pool looked clean some people were swimming no one had eyes streaming or rashes due to chlorine
For me I wouldn’t have wanted to be there for a weeks holiday but for a night if you are en route somewhere and just need to crash and have a hot shower without paying resort prices it worked fine. Entitled kids also happy

We read previous reviews ..which were poor. However, we've travelled extensively around the world, mostly in Asia where we've lived for over 10 yrs & sampled 0 to 5 star plus. For what you pay for this place there's nothing we could find to whinge (complain) about!
We paid Idr312k/£17 /nt incl breakfast.
Breakfast was substantial ...all the local fayre (nasi goreng, fried veg with chicken sausage, mushrooms, pancakes) fruit (papaya/banana), tea/coffee, toast AND you can order your eggs in any style in addition to this. Damn fine!
The room was large, clean & has good aircon. A kettle, tv & daily 2x bottled water.
The bathroom was huge ..maybe the only issue was waiting 3/4 minutes to run the water for a very hot shower.
The balcony was big, bright & airy and had 2 chairs, a coffee table & clothes drying rack.
The pool, in which we had a long swim, was really quite nice.
So ....what do you want for this price you whingers?

I stayed here for the first night because it was close to the airport. The quality is amazing for just 2000 yen a night. The bathroom was clean, the fridge was ice cold, and the spacious room was amazing. Smoking a cigarette on the balcony and pouring a Bintang made me feel like a seasoned resort traveler. The clientele was mostly white (with an Aussie accent), and I was probably the only Asian. There was a shopping mall just a minute's walk from the hotel, and I bought a transformer there. German Beach is also within walking distance. There were two disadvantages. The first was that the socket was a recessed C type, so I couldn't use the one I usually use overseas. The second was that the room was a connecting room, so I could hear the neighbors' daily sounds and conversations, so earplugs and earphones were a must. The young couple next door were noisy. Other than that, there were no particular issues, the staff was friendly, and it was more than enough to soothe the fatigue of the first day's flight. This is a wonderful hotel that I would like to visit again when I visit Bali.

Walked in and walked straight out! Absolutely terrible - dirty, stunk, massive gaps in room doorways making you feel exposed and u safe. Cats everywhere, unsavoury middle aged white men hanging in and around the pool! For a supposed 3 star accommodation would have expected just a little bit more - photos online very deceiving!!!!! Worth paying extra to ho elsewhere!!!

The hotel is very dated and really needs maintenance. A lot is peeling, roof tiles are loose, decking boards of the swimming pool are loose and nails are sticking through them. Of the 12 sunbeds at the pool, 4 are broken but they will not be replaced or removed. During breakfast there are cats walking around, but the staff does not tell the guests not to feed them (also there are no signs saying "do not feed the cats". So more and more are coming. Pool bar is no longer in use and is rusty everywhere. Doesn't look good. Although evening entertainment is offered on various sites, there is none. You always have to find new towels even if you put them on the floor as indicated.
we will never come here again

The hotel is quite good. The room is simple, no frills. Although in some places it needs renovation. I liked the peace and quiet. Absolutely not a party place. Calm Asian music by the pool, there were always free sun loungers. The nearest beach is 300 meters away.
Breakfast is simple, as in most hotels in Southeast Asia.
In general, I'm pleased.

Extremely bad experience in this hotel, mostly because I'm currently harrassed by one of your receptionist, sending me messages everyday on Whatsapp after she asked me for my number. This is extremely unrespectful from the hotel to let employees behave this way.

I sent messages to the hotel about my complain but nobody answered me yet. Could you please ask your employee to stop?? Her name is Yusti, I sent all the details on my messages.

I don't recommend this hotel AT ALL.

This hotel is budget and you get what you pay for. We only stayed 2 days here at $25 a night.
The gardens are lovely, although the ponds need some serious maintance, they are so green you can barely see the poor fish that are still alive in it.
The pool here is the best feature, it's large and clean and has its own swim up bar (although didn't appear to be in use while we were there)
The rooms were what you would expect for $25.00 a night.
Queen size bed, not very comfy, stained greyish coloured pillow cases that were once white, pillows were flat and uncomfortable. No tea or coffee in the rooms but there's a kettle. Bathroom door was damaged, balcony door kept jarring and water pressure in the shower would go on and off. The bathrooms could also do with a decent scrub.
But we were just looking for somewhere cheap to stay for 2 nights before our departure and this is definitely it. Recommend short stays but I myself would want something a little more comfortable and inviting for long stays.

hi Chris the walk from Bakung Beach hotel to Legian (I have done it many times) is a good solid one hour. Ok if you have the time and inclination and it's the cooler time of the day. the other option is a Bluebird taxi (don't get a "taxi" touting fixed rip off prices they are a total stitch up) which will cost about R30k-R40k. That is less than A $4.00 and will take about 15-20 minutes traffic dependent.

I have had to cancel through Expedia and always found them helpful ; have you contacted Expedia direct ? There are certain deals whereby you have to contact the hotel direct.. there are also deals that are considered so cheap they do not allow cancellation at all. I have found the Hotel to be very good but very difficult to deal with unless you phone them direct..details should be on your Expedia voucher.. I hope you manage to resolve the matter, good luck.. wishing you well.. John

I always arrive very late in the evening or very early in the morning, I just send a fax to the hotel showing flight No: eta, etc and polite request as to the type of room , and have always found this hotel as with most others very helpful. I believe they still have a twenty four hour front desk. regards John
