Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the moment you enter the hotel you have the feeling of being in a very cozy and family home. Very clean and tidy rooms. Just keep in mind that they are on the floors above and have no elevator. Otherwise everything perfect although the rooms have no television. It has a garage space. Finally say that the owner is very attentive and friendly. It tells you on plans the advisable places to eat, eat and visit. An accommodation to which you can return with confidence.

Posada Don Jaime is ideally situated in the historic centre of San Lorenzo within easy walking distance of the Monastery. The hotel is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated with copies of famous paintings. Ignacio. the owner, is an exceptionally charming and helpful host, who speaks English fluently. He gave us excellent advice about where to eat and places to visit. He does everything he possibly can to make your visit to San Lorenzo memorable and enjoyable. This is the place to stay if you are visiting San Lorenzo.

Very nice hostel, the owner is very attentive. It informs you very well of places to go to lunch/dinner, as well as places to see.
Remember that there are stairs to get to the room. It has a garage space, although if you go with a big car it is a fairy.

The lofty room very nice, clean, comfortable bed, the pillows (for us) excessively thin, but that is a matter of taste.
The air conditioning very good. The bathroom very clean. Bathtub with hydromassage jets.

There is NO TV (which although we do not need it, it is good that you remember it).

It's very, very close to the monastery. The village is almost all on hill and the hostel is in one of them.

We can’t say enough about our wonderful stay at this charming clean comfortable hotel. Our room was bright and roomy with beautiful decor. Our host Ignacio could not have been nicer or more helpful. He speaks English perfectly and took the time to answer all our questions and requests for advice. He went beyond expectations by not only helping us find where to get a Covid test we needed to travel, but he even called the clinic and walked us there so we wouldn’t get lost. The hotel is perfectly located to explore the town and to hike. We recommend highly!!

Lovely hotel with elegant Spanish historical portraits and Spain's glorious past abounds. The Spanish hospitality was appreciated in this traditional hotel which is somewhat like a B&B. Parking was possible with the help and much needed in this crowded town. Opted for breakfast served at nine, OJ, toast, jam and coffee. This is great value for a visit to El Escorial, especially given its proximity.

Beautiful superior room, very comfortable bed and lovely shower. Excellent service from the owner who gave us lots of good advice, and let us leave the car parked in the garage until we finished our visit at the palace. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to this amazing place.

Very courteous welcome in this old hotel.
Very decent rooms, clean, nothing to say.
No on-site dining, but within a 5-minute walk you will find everything you want, from the bar to the upscale restaurant.
Perfect place to stop in this small town.

Parking a nightmare. Once you have a space you won't want to move even if it's a distance away. One way system is a difficult to navigate!!
We booked an attic room at extra cost and am still wondering why it was extra cost as it seemed more like a room knocked together in the loft of an old house as an after thought.
2 star maybe but at 4 star price.
Owner offers a personal touch on arrival with regard to visiting places to eat and visit. However his opinions are rather overwhelming !
