Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff was lovely, super accomodating and friendly. On check in Alba offered an upgrade for extra €10 and she took the time to show us the rooms to make our mind.
We ended up taking the suite (at special price too) with a huge bath/spa in the middle of the room.
As the hotel wasn't full she also allowed us to check out 30mins later than the normal time.
Sara and Jose were also very kind and they couldn't do enough to make our stay great an special.
We will definitely go back to this place.
Ah!, I forgot to say that it was our anniversary and the staff made it happen for us. Thank you!!

Excellent central location next to City Hall. Friendly staff with good treatment. Large, fantastic room with comfortable bed. It is unfortunate that breakfasts are not served although there are several establishments in the same square.

Very nice hotel, clean, centrally located and with a good quality/price ratio. It is certainly highly recommended.
The receptionist was very friendly and attentive to any request.
There is no parking, but there is a public parking lot right next door, where you get a discount for staying at the hotel.

Hotel with an excellent location, superb service, large room, with a very affordable price. Steps from magnificent restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy a good breakfast, and steps from the Monastery of Escorial. Charming Hotel

Stayed in De Martin for one night on our way back from San Sebastian to Madrid. It is a very small hotel with few rooms. We stayed in a bigger room but which is still quite small. There is no staff at the reception from 11pm to 8:30am. Staff does not speak English but is eager to help. There was the Easter possession going on on the evening of our arrival and so all the roads leading to the hotel and the nearby carpark are blocked. It took us quite a while to arrive at the hotel. The parking fee for visitor in Escorial is pretty expensive, about 30 Euros for a day park. But if you park your car in the public garage just around the corner of the hotel, you could get a stamp from the hotel and the charge will then be reduced to 15 Euros.
Room is tidy and clean. Breakfast time starts at 9pm and since we depart early we could only grab two croissants and go.
There is a very small and cozy bar attached to the hotel. The bar tender was extremely friendly and helpful despite the very busy night. You definitely have to drop by if you happen to stay there

Yes, the lobby was tiny, but the rooms were modern and spacious. The hospitality was wonderful and so was the wifi. It was easy to find parking nearby and the sites of this Madrid suburb were right outside your door. For the price and convenient amenities this hotel was perfect.

once we found it, enjoyed our stay very much;; each room is well designed; nice touches optimise space and function. liked the jacuzzi bath. Downside is parking and access for bag drops and such like but it is a small core and free parking is usually within a few hundred yards. One big grumble - but this is in every hotel we used in a week - is that there is NO international TV channel anywhere to be found/ But the wifi was good enough to stream a move on a laptop. Receptionist was lovely but coudl be an octave lower to better understand her english

Very nice little 'boutique' hotel, literally a stones-throw from the Escorial. Situated in a pleasant little plaza with many bars and restaurants nearby. The lady on reception was very welcoming and even recommended a good restaurant nearby. There was a fiesta the 1st evening, so the town was very busy, but great fun, and a very friendly atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and modern, which suits us, with a very comfortable bed and 'amazing' shower. There was some noise from the aircon, but it did not detract from a fine 2 night stay. So much so that we will be going back later in the year!

I was given a inside room facing onto the smokers area on the second floor. When it came to the evening meal one of the members of staff was very rude all because my self & my work partner ordered quite a bit of food & the stake that i had ordered even tho I'd ask it to be well done was barely cooked & there was little choice for breakfast. The lady on reception couldn't have been more helpful but apart from that I will never stay there again unless there is no other choice.
