The hotel has its pros and cons. Something away from the central area, is very quiet. That is positive and to be valued. The room I got was lofty, very aesthetic, but uncomfortable, especially in the bathroom. The shower if pressure and the bed super uncomfortable because of the way it is made. They incorporate a kind of rubber like the one you put on children to prevent wetness and the sheets are very uncomfortable. However, for the tranquility of the area, rest is possible.
As a positive, we ate decently in the restaurant and the breakfast is more than right. The reeds, faces.
And finally, the ugliest detail, something to improve: a colleague was not allowed to store the suitcase on the grounds that they had an event with many people. Where have you seen a person staying in a hotel in this category have to drag their suitcase all day? To lower them to pension...

Simple hotel, very good value for money.
Cafeteria on the ground floor with restaurant.
Very Friendly and Pro Staff.
It has parking although the spaces are small and the entrance is on the street next to the park. To get out when you are on a hill, with the door open better not to stop get out from below underway.

Pros: A usefully-located hotel. Very good reception service. Basic but adequate rooms which are very good value. Clean. Nice views.
Cons: If you are above the restaurant area, even on an upper floor, you hear all the chairs being moved around up to and a bit past midnight.
The restaurant food at dinner was really bad, but masses of restaurants close by in town.

The beds are comfortable but lacks room maintenance especially in bathrooms. Very poor quality breakfast especially cold cuts, croissants... There were no yogurts.
As for the restaurant, the rice we ate bland and dry.To be a restaurant specialty rice leaves much to be desired. As for the service a little of the same without desire.

We were at this hotel the weekend of January 19-21 and the experience was very good. Spacious room, 2x2 bed, great heating and whirlpool bathtub.
To add a small drawback, the shower lowered itself a little by the bar, but that's just to add a drawback.
It is also 5 minutes from the center and the Monastery and 50 meters from the bus station.

We have spent a few days at the hotel and we want to record the very pleasant stay and the magnificent treatment received from the staff. Functional hotel, very comfortable and very well located for visits. In addition, it has an unbeatable price-quality ratio. In short, an excellent hotel to spend your holidays. Without a doubt, we will repeat.

A nice hotel on walking distance to the historic building.
Enough big room, but with not sufficient light. Air conditioning didn’t work properly. Well equipped bathroom.
Good breakfast.
Garage in the basement.

Los Lanceros is in a good, relatively quiet location, next to two other hotels (a 4-star and a smaller one). The hotel is just off the main road and was easy to approach via taxi. The main bus terminal is very close, and the old town and El Escorial are a short walk away. My room was large and spotless. The TV was old, had no English language stations, and I had trouble turning it on. The receptionist came up twice, very promptly, to help. I didn't take the breakfast buffet, but had a smaller breakfast one morning at the bar, and tapas one evening. Overall, I was satisfied.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights in connection with a three-day workshop onsite that my husband attended. The receptionists were welcoming, warm, and friendly from the moment we walked in and were very helpful throughout our stay with directions (for example, the best and most picturesque way to walk to the train station in the town). They always had a smile and a greeting. Our room was decent sized and bright, with plenty of space to put things away. Comfortable sleep. Very good rain-shower; small, thin bath towels, but we were cheerfully given more when we asked. Wifi free and reliable. Breakfast was included -- lots of choices and more than adequate, including fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, bread and rolls, chafing dish scrambled eggs, torta, and bacon. The couple of other meals we had with the group ranged from very good to okay. The hotel is well-located for visiting the monastery -- not much more than steps away -- or wandering in the town. The bus station is just down the street, and the local buses seem to be coordinated with timetables of the commuter trains to and from Madrid, so if you want to arrive or depart by train, the bus is an easy alternative to walking to or from the train station (which is downhill getting there and uphill returning).

First time in El Escorial - out here working in Valdemorillo.
Arrived late on a Tuesday evening - greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable.
WiFi access simple - good broadband speed.
Didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening - too many good places within easy walking distance of the hotel.
Breakfast wasn't served early, but for those of us heading off to work before the world was awake, the hotel lad the buffet breakfast out early. Simple fare but filling.
Some of the team weren't happy with the hotel, but I found it met all my needs.
