The Sea View Hotel garners commendation for its inviting atmosphere, with guests highlighting the spotless rooms—complete with balconies—and chic decor. Though some guests have mentioned the rooms can be on the snug and noisy side, the prime location near beaches and the Glyfada district is a consistent hit. The service at the hotel earns high marks for the staff's warm and efficient manner. While the breakfast selection and pool area are popular, a few visitors have noted the pool's unheated water. Despite occasional complaints about additional charges, many find the hotel to be a good value.

Stayed in the Sea View hotel in Glyfada Athens Greece and have to say I cannot fault it one bit. It’s a boutique hotel that is incredibly well presented. The thought that went into the decor is incredible

The staff are super friendly without being intrusive. They are polite, charming, smartly dressed and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

The room we stayed in was lovely. Very clean and comfortable and was serviced to a high standard each day. The bathroom was a little small and could possibly have done with an extra power socket near the mirrors but this was such a minor negative and didn’t at all detract from our stay. The bathroom and bedroom was spotlessly clean

The wifi was pretty good most of the time with the odd occasion of it being slow but could hold FaceTime calls without interruption most of the time. You could get a decent signal down by the pool

The pool area is beautiful. Again the thought behind the design is amazing. It’s very tranquil and relaxing and again very clean and tidy. Just stunning!

Also could not fault the food. Breakfast choice was extensive and the quality high. Lunch was inexpensive and good quality. Sadly we didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening.

Located locally to most things and you can walk to anywhere that you might want to in Glyfada and decent travel infrastructure if you want to go into Athens

This trip was part business and and part leisure but we are seriously considering going back to this hotel next year for our holiday next year it was that good.

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute there.

Since my previous visit, last year, the Sea View Hotel is better than ever.

The en-suite bathroom of my room had been modernised and upgraded adding to the luxury of a stay in this wonderful hotel.

The bar and lobby areas have been extended. The decor and sumptuous furnishings provide an inviting, comfortable and very relaxing ambience.

The breakfast choice has been expanded offering a wide range of hot and cold options to start the day.

The hotel staff continue to provide a warm welcome with friendly and efficient service.

The location of this excellent hotel is only a few minutes walk from the heart of Glyfada which provides excellent shopping and leisure amenities.

I have stayed at a number of hotels in Glyfada but the Sea View remains my firm favourite and, following the recent improvements, is better than ever.

My stay, despite the winter months, proved an absolute delight in every respect.

Sea view hotel - has no sea view rooms, hotel is in the second row, behind other building, still to get to the see you have to cross very busy street ( almost like a highway ).
This was also the reason we could not sleep since the noise was unbearable even after closing the balcony door. Literally as if we have slept on the street.
The table on the balcony was dirty and we had to clean it in order to put anything on it.
We stayed there for 3 nights ( 1-4.06 ) and during our stay no one from the cleaners entered the room, not even to throw the garbage from the baskets. Towels are being changed after 3 days, meaning we had the same towels during our stay and there is no place in the bathroom to hang them in order to properly dry.
Room looks as if updating went wrong and wasn't finished. There is no place to put your wardrobe, there is 8 hangers hanging from the ceiling and dirty shelf that looks like a shoe box. There is also a safe box, probably from 1980's when they were locked with the key, but this one is not working, just standing on the wall.
Hair dryer is fixed in the drawer under the TV, meaning you have to dry your hair there ( unless you brought your own dryer ). The bed was big but uncomfortable, the moment you lay on it you sank and back pain is first thing you feel when you get up ( in case you were lucky to even get some sleep from the road noise.
The pool in the garden looks great only on photos and hands up to the photographer they have hired for this. Pool area is basically on the street and there is no way you can relax since only bushes are separating you from the road.
Location is good if you intend to stay in Glyfada area or to explore area outside Athens city center. It is to far from the city ( aprox. 25 -30 tram stations ), check that in case you want to explore city center and be located around this hotel.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback about your stay at our hotel. I am glad that you found our location convenient. We are so lucky to have a property in Glyfada at a very strategic location that brings our guests just a few steps away from must-see attractions and modern-day conveniences. On the other hand I am sorry to hear that your stay was not up to your expectations. Please note that this information has been passed on to all staff concerned. With regards to the cleaning of the room, based on the COVID protocols, no hotel staff is allowed to enter our guests’ rooms during their stay. If guests wish to receive service they must specifically ask for it at the front desk. This is something that all our guests are informed about , verbally and in writing, upon check in. Additionally, I am sorry that you found your mattress to be uncomfortable. All our mattresses are of very high quality and we always receive excellent reviews about them. I wish you had expressed your concerns to our staff during your stay. This way we would have been able to provide solutions and accommodate your requests. Nevertheless, I shall thank you once again for taking the time to write this feedback, and I would be delighted if you would like us to discuss further personally. Best regards, Rita Katsarou Hotel Manager

Located in one of the most beauriful seaside districts of Athens, Glyufada, it provides a very easy access to both the beautiful seaside area as well as to the center of Glyfada with the numerous shps & restaurants. For business travellers that they want to have an easy access to the airport as well as Athens industrial areas is indeed a very convenient place. Rooms (ever the single ones) are spacious with perfect matresses, clean, luminous and welcoming. The personnel is very friendly and multilingual whereas the breakfast is just AMAZING (the favourite feature of mine regarding this hotel). During spring and summer time you can enjoy your breakfast outdoor and of couirse you may use the swimming pool. We havepreferred this hotel many time in the past and we will continue to do so (the very friendly price is also one great argument to do so)

Dear formaldehyde, Thank you for taking the time to share your lovely comments. To be honest, we could not have described the feel of the area of Glyfada in a better way, so thank you for sharing this. I am also glad to know that apart from the location, you very much enjoyed the facilities and even more so our breakfast. Knowing that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, a lot of effort has been put into offering a buffet with all the options that will help you start your day the best way! Hopefully, it will not be too long to welcome you back once again. We cannot wait for that! Warmest regards, Georgia Kallimachou Hotel Manager

We stayed five nights in the Seaview hotel, after much deliberation about location. We wanted to be close to the sights of Athens, but have a holiday feel. We made the best decision! Glyfada is such a lovely place, with great high end shops and restaurants and less than a five minutes walk to the beaches and hustle n bustle.

Athens is just 30-40 mins away on the tram, which runs all day everyday. It’s €4 for a full day pass and let’s you explore the city with ease! Just take the number 5 tram from any of the many stops, then ride it all the way to the end (Neos Cosmos). Hopefully that token of information helps others. The tram was a brilliant way to get around and so easy with the added benefit of seeing the whole city.

I couldn’t recommend Sea View Hotel enough, the perfect base for the perfect city break!

We will be back!!

We had a lovely time here at the end of September. The hotel staff were very efficient in answering emails during the booking process and were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The hotel has a lot of character and the rooms were pleasantly decorated. Breakfast was great as was our room and large bed. The pool was unheated, but great for a 'refreshing' dip and the pool water fresh, not chemical.
You are on the edge of the town centre, about 10 min walk and you have 2 greek restaurants and a supermarket about 5 min walk away. A tram stop is about 1 min away and this will take you to the centre of Athens (1 change) for just over a Euro! Glyfada has lots of top end shops and restaurants and we had a delicious meal out every night. Enotica (next to the cinema) was very good, owned by a Sicilian chef who knows a bit about food and wine!
The Ark is on the sea shore and worth a drink at the end of the day, you can eat there too if you fancy paying 145 euro for lobster!
There is a tradition of paying to go on the beaches here, the free town ones are not very nice, sand is coarse and dirty and stones in the sea.
Asteras beach was shut and will be very swanky when it opens in April 2024.
We went down to Voula beach (15min walk). You can pay 7 euro to enter and then 30 - 40 euro for 2 sunbeds and a parasol with service from the bar. However, there is a path to the beach, follow signs for 'C Beach' and you can find a bit of free sand to put your towel down! 2 sunbeds and parasol at C Beach only 50 euro in early October! Only 1 out of 50 were being used. The food is also very good at C Beach.
So a lovely friendly hotel in a great location for combining a city centre and beach holiday, which ticks our boxes!

This hotel was a great find.
One block from the tram. Two or three blocks from the main shopping area and restaurants. Short walk to beach. Very short taxi ride to all the high-end waterside restaurants. The location couldn't have been better. And very quiet.
Small enough to run to your room in a few minutes and get back downstairs in three minutes, large enough to be a full service hotel.
The room was large, with a veranda, two chairs, and a table. Extremely comfortable bed, with an excellent bathroom and a shower with great water pressure.
The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. My stay had to be extended, and it was no problem for them. When the coffee maker malfunctioned, coffee was made for everyone - quickly. The manager even brought a second cup to me outside when I didn't expect it.
There is a covered veranda out front with plenty of seating for meeting people, dinner, and drinks out of the sun if you need shade.
The breakfast service offers everything in ample supplies.
The pool is a great place to relax and get some sun. The young man working the pool area never stopped working - making sure all was in order and making sure everyone at the pool wanted for nothing. Drinks, food, towels, etc. He never stopped.
As for cleanliness, the staff was constantly cleaning everything in all public areas.
This small hotel impressed me for so many reasons. I'll definitely return again and again.

Room was ok, nothing special, tissue above mirror where we stopped maybe staff were not tall enough to see or step back to check. View from room was another building so the balcony wasn’t great too. TV channels didn’t work fantastic with a really annoying theme tune when turning on each time as the hotel had a slideshow running automatically each time you turned it on. I can still here it now. Sheets were thin not even an option of a thicker quilt. The food on display, I didn’t take a picture of... you walked in and a lovely hamper of biscuits crisps and snacks on the side, oh how wonderful, treats for us! And a fridge stocked with water and wine, wonderful!... no. All came with price tags which I found sneaky and not treating their paying customers as a nice free water wouldn’t have gone a miss for such a nice looking hotel. The pool was downstairs outside on ground level. And the main reason to this bad review is my breakfast, a child’s sandwich box delivered to your door. A packed lunch. A waste of time if you ask me, as you can see it wasn’t a nice meal it was like rations in a box, absolutely utterly disappointed as no other hotel I stayed in, had this type of breakfast. I had to get ready and leave early just to eat a decent meal, avoid this over priced hotel they’re just after your money.

Dear Reddove6, Thank you for taking the time to write and post your review. We are sorry to hear we did not manage to live up to your expectations and further, that the changes referring to the breakfast service marred your stay with us. Serving breakfast in room in a breakfast box is our way or responding to the instructions provided by health agencies and local government to avoid crowded areas and the use of common shared objects that are integral part of a breakfast buffet. During these challenging times, many other establishments have adopted similar practices as a temporary measure. We appreciate your feedback and hopefully, we will get the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and you will be able to experience our popular breakfast buffet. In the meantime, take care and stay safe! Best regards, Georgia Kallimachou Hotel Manager

We cannot praise this hotel highly enough. The staff without exception are warm, friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern with a great shower and the beds are very comfortable. Bed linen is also of a high standard with a choice of pillow available in the room. The breakfast is outstanding with a great range of hot, cold and traditional Greek breakfast items. Will definitely stay here again on our return to Glyfada.

It's a residential neighborhood so i believe there are retail shops and i think i saw 1 or 2 salons within walking distance. If you call the hotel they can also tell you what's around and what is good. Good luck.
