Nice central location in Houston. The hotel was clean and had recently had new carpet installed. The room was big, the kitchen came fully stocked with anything you’d need to cook and it was all very clean. Parking was free and secure. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful with anything we needed. Breakfast was a good selection.

Sonesta met two of the most important requirements for me: It was clean and it was quiet. It was nice to have a hotel room where you can't hear the TV next door or people clomping through the halls and talking. I like it that they have dispensers in the shower for soaps and conditioner rather than those little plastic bottles that are filling up the oceans.
All the staff members were very friendly. Our room had a kitchenette: Microwave, two-burner electric hob, garbage disposal, dishwasher & dishes. It also had a coffee maker.
The complimentary breakfast was nothing to write home about, but the ladies serving breakfast were very pleasant.
Conveniently, Sonesta is a three-minute walk to the Galleria. Also, just down the street is the Waterwall, which is quite lovely.
I would be happy to stay here again.

I wish there were 3.5 stars available but decided to go with 4 just because the employees were so nice. There are a lot of good things at this hotel: comfortable beds, full kitchen, very clean rooms, free parking. Things that need improvement: the paint is peeling in some areas of the room, the shower wasn’t working (but someone came to fix it 10 minutes after I called) and the breakfast which is free. The only hot item was a sausage egg sandwich but the eggs were not fresh eggs. It was a precooked egg that didn’t taste like an egg. There is cold cereal available but only sugared cereal. Except for some individual fruit, everything else was starchy and unhealthy. They really need some healthy alternatives like oatmeal and real eggs. A strange thing about the breakfast is that you can’t get it yourself buffet style. You walk up to a window and there’s a list with everything that’s available and you tell the employee (who is extremely nice) what you want. The next day we went out for breakfast instead. However, this hotel is very reasonably priced and I think cleanliness is the most important thing so if you’re okay with it not being an upscale hotel like the Royal Sonesta hotels, then it’s completely fine.

It was a great choice for a long term stay. Price was affordable during the pandemic and the room had everything i needed from small living room to dining table and kitchenette. Location is perfect. Joey at the reception was very nice and helpful and the guy from maintenance was very nice. The only comment is it needs some renovation and had some maintenance issues.

I usually never complain about staff, specially front desk, since I know it is hard to spend all of those hours there putting up with all guests needs, but I had the worst experience ever with Martha over the last weekend. She was super rude and had the worst attitude. I called in advance to ask if I could have some packages delivered at the hotel prior to my stay, and was told no problem. When I got there I asked for them and she acted as if I owed her something for looking them up. I was missing 2 packages and when I looked over the tracking numbers it said that they were delivered there and received by someone who actually worked there, but Martha was incredibly rude to my and my husband saying that they were not there and she did everything she could not to help me look for them, making me feel as if it was my fault and second guessing everything I told her.
At the end, I couldn't retrieve my stuff and I'm still handling the matter with FedEx but she was no help.
Later at night, I asked about some lights outside my room to see if they turned off at night and her answer was again super rude and out of line. I know customers are not always right, but no one deserves that kind of attitude while paying for a service.

Although the staff was friendly and the hotel seemed clean, most areas were in disrepair. Pool was green and unusable. Hallways patched and unpainted. Room had rusted areas. I felt uncomfortable in my safety staying alone with my daughter and worried about cleanliness (fortunately nothing happened). I would not recommend. Pay the extra and stay IN the galleria.

I checked in, unpacked and settled in only to find out that the toilet didn't work. The valve was turned off and looks as though it had been leaking. I turned the valve back on, but still no water. I went to reception and was told that I could use the public restrooms on the first floor, as there was no one on premises that could repair it, really? I asked for another room and it was disgusting with food scraps everywhere and no sheets, went back again and got another room, this room had no A/C, I went back again. The response was; "so what are we doing here, do you want ANOTHER room?'. As if I was really bothering this guy by wanting a working room. Finally the fourth room was fine. It took over an hour of my time to do all this and there was not even a hint of an apology or sign of remorse of any kind. I get that this guy was alone on second shift, but this is a direct reflection of the hotel's management. At check out, I was never asked how my stay was. Horrible! Stay away.

Location! Location! Arrived in Houston on Thanksgiving to visit & take my college freshman granddaughter shopping for everything she claimed to still need. Wow! This Sonesta was the best with a three minute walk into the actual Galleria Mall which lent another level of appreciation after each long day returning from the mall. We also found additional shopping areas and areas of interest in the vicinity. I love how Sonesta properties have easy and quick access to and fro parking and rooms, and friendly and helpful employees at all levels.
No comment to give on breakfast as I do not get up in time. As usual, loved our suite.

WORST hotel I have ever been to. Do not stay here… the smell was awful, pool not useable, corridors unpainted. Clothing form guest before left in the room so questioning if it was cleaned. The room did not smell very nice ,We lasted a hour before we left it was that bad.

Don't know since we got there early. Just give them a call if you are very late.
No clue. I saw NOR heard any pets.
You can check in early with no charge if a room is available. It really depends on whether or not we are sold out the previous night and those scheduled to depart have departed in time for us to clean a room for you. If you call us early on your scheduled arrival date we will have an answer for you.
