We had the pleasure of staying here for one night. Luckily for us Gertie had room for our family of 5. We arrived in Blarney late from a day of driving and without reservations. Gertie
Recommended a wonderful restaurant, Blairs Inn, for our dinner and we woke to a terrific breakfast. We all had a wonderful, first bed &breakfast experience...

We stayed at Travellers joy on the second night of our touring holiday and loved it so much we returned for the last 2 nights at the end!
The B&B is owned by Gertie and Sean O'Shea who are the lovliest people you could meet. Gertie could not be more genuinely welcoming and friendly. She is just the lovliest woman and makes so much effort making sure you're welcome, looked after and happy during your stay. The B&B is a lovely homely modern bungalow with fantastic gardens. The rooms are decorated beautifully with modern ensuite facilities and a fantastic view of the award winning garden. The breakfasts Gertie makes are out of this world and she won't stop feeding you until she's quite sure you've had enough and can hardly move haha! I really can't praise this lovely place enough and it is made exceptional by Gertie herself...she's a truly lovely woman. A true Irish welcome :)
Gertie has an email address in the book of Irish B&B's but she had to change it after the books went out as someone hacked her email account! Her email address is now travellersjoybedandbreakfast@gmail.com I just wanted to mention this as I don't want her to lose out on any bookings bless her! Oh and although Gertie doesn't yet have WiFi she will be looking into it and hopefully getting it in the future!

Gertie and Sean are the most wonderful hosts, could not be more helpful. Sean came and collected us from another b & b so we would not get lost - scones and tea on arrival! Gertie gave great advice about where to go, where to eat, what to see etc. Comfy rooms, wonderful garden, enormous yummy breakfast - wished we could have stayed longer. Recommended to others we met on our travels and highly recommend to anyone thinking of heading to this lovely part of the world

We only stayed one night but after a week of various B&Bs around Ireland, Travellers Joy was the best. Made even better thanks to Gertie - a lovely lady who makes you feel so welcome it's a joy to stay. We were there only minutes before we were offered a coffee and snack. Gertie's recommendation for dinner, turned out to be one best meals we have had at a pub. Breakfast was excellent and the service provided was better than any hotel.....in fact I did not want to leave.

The gardens are lovely and it's just a nice place to stay - yes it's a joy to stay at Travellers Joy.

If you are visiting Blarney, this is the place to stay. First, the B&B is beautiful. It is surrounded by some award winning gardens. Second, the owner Gertie is a wonderful person who was interested in our trip and helping make the best out of the remainder of it. Moreover, the breakfast was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again!

This was our next to last stop on our journey through Ireland, and Gertie and her husband made it worth it.

They greeted us with warmth and humor. We got hopelessly lost. We called them and the husband (darned if we can remember his name) told us he come out in his car to try to rescue us. Due to some miscommunication, we never saw him, but we eventually arrived, and we laughed about the misadventure.

The accommodations were absolutely wonderful. We had a wonderful view of the side yard, which was well tended to. The room had a double bed which was absolutely comfortable.

Last, but certainly not least, the food was out of this world. They had a table set up in a sitting room with fresh fruit (including blood watermelon). We then walked through another door into the dining room. The Irish Breakfast was sinfully delicious. The fresh baked scones came out of the oven still warm making them so soft, yet they still had some firmness to crumble when you broke them open. Rich gained 5 pounds at this place.

If you're thinking about going to the Cork city area, DEFINITELY consider this place.

I had a great time at the Travellers Joy B&B. Gertie was so very hospitable, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! It was very close to a nice pub and just minutes bus ride from the BIarney Castle. I'd go back in a second!

Had a brilliant stay at Travellers B&B. Although it was a late booking and we arrived slightly late Gertie made us feel right at home offering us tea and home baked goods as soon as we walked in the door. The gorgeous garden and homely rooms paired with the short walk into town for dinner made our stay easy and well worth the money. All in all couldn't have been happier!

We came upon Traveler's Joy as a random find in the area, and we were so pleasantly surprised with what we stumbled upon. Instantly Gertie made us feel welcome, offering us coffee and good conversation in the evening just as we arrived. The room we stayed in was the most spacious of our entire trip (en suite bathroom you can actually turn around in!) and very cosy. I loved the decor as it reminded us we are staying in someone's home, not a blank hotel space. It felt so much more personable that way. The home baking and the Irish breakfast were delicious, the host was gracious, and the gardens beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone exploring the greater Cork region.

Came across Travellers joy on the internet by chance. We are so glad we found it! A beautiful home, wonderful gardens, lovely comfortable rooms, quiet, our hosts Gertie and Sean were very warm and welcoming. Always available for advice and a chat, but never intrusive. Breakfast (having stayed in many hotels/b&b's worldwide) was one of the best we have ever had! We will certainly stay again if the chance arises and we without doubt recommend Travellers joy to all!
