Great experience, clean, great service and quiet. Good location about one block off the beach. New property with smaller rooms for. Residence, but adequate. Easy walk to pier and parking is easy at the hotel. Breakfast is typical Marriott self serve buffet which no matter where has room for improvement. No evening happy hour which needs to come back at Residence properties.

We stayed the day after Labor Day and the rates were very reasonable. Our room was perfect for the view of the seawall. The room layout is strategically planned. If you travel frequently this will make sense. Clean, updated design. Free breakfast is offered but nothing fancy. Friendly staff. The shower has open concept. The door does not close so be prepared for something different. However this may not be a good idea. The floor had a lot of water that was leading to the rug in the bedroom. Location near a nice selection of great eating spots. Try Shucks if you’re into seafood and oysters.

By far the worst hotel I have stayed in. Room service only every 3 days. Apathetic staff, made our stay more difficult by not consolidating booking the same room the together, faulty lifts, bar closed all day when we arrived in a thunderstorm after 6hrs travelling. Breakfast a scrum down. Air conditioning cannot be set to a temperature, noisy so you freeze to death or cook. If you want more towels you have to fetch them yourself from reception after standing in the long line. Total disgrace

Although the standard for Residence Inn cleaning service is to provide a refresh every three days, we can always change this based on the guests requests. After much researching our family chose this new hotel to stay at for 2 nights pre cruise. Marriott's usually never disappoint me, but this Residence Inn was not up to Marriott's standards. The room we booked was not what the website photos showed and when I mentioned it, I was told they used "stock" photos and they were not from this hotel's rooms. We had asked ahead of time that the sofa bed be made up. This was not done and when we asked if someone could do that for us we were told there was no staff to help do that. Ummm, ok?? The air conditioning vents were making a weird clicking sound and after one night we had to change rooms as it was so annoying. Although we were moved to the top floor which was great, there was a dog in a room across from us that barked continually for a straight 9 hours. When I mentioned it after about an hour, they said they had tried to contact the owners. Not only did I feel bad for the dog and wondered where it peed during this time, why is a dog allowed to be left alone in a room all day? Icing on the cake was on Saturday when breakfast is supposed to be served until 10 am, we went downstairs at 9:25 am to find they were out of almost everything including coffee! I can survive without food, but definitely needed coffee! I asked 3 people including the manager to refill the pot but they never bothered. In fact the manager just gave me a blank look like "not his job". Location was good. Walk a block, cross the busy street and you're at the beach. For anyone staying for a cruise, I pre booked Galveston Express and they picked us up from the hotel and took us to the port on Saturday.

If you are looking for a relaxing family-friendly getaway with amazing service, then you've found it! This new property is beautiful and spacious with very comfortable accomodations! Along with the property is an exceptional team with a customer-focus attitude. Rhianon at the front desk, provided the highest level of hospitality throughout my entire stay! She genuinely takes pride in your experience and will gladly provide any advice on restaurants, shopping or local attractions. The breakfast was delicious! There were always fresh options for various dietary preferences and Brent added a special touch by ensuring that everyone had a pleasing breakfast experience. The remarkable service at this location will exceed your expectations! Make sure to check out Gaido's for lunch or dinner which is walking distance.

We just finished a 4 month stay at the Residence Inn while our house was being built. We went through a tropical storm & hurricane, however in spite of of this, our stay was fabulous. We had a 1 bedroom suite with great views on the top floor. It’s a new hotel & very clean. Some of our favorite features were a walk in shower, full kitchen, comfortable bed, & very pet friendly environment. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a Marriott & selections changed daily. The location was perfect & was walking distance to some great restaurants & the beach. What really made our stay so memorable was the staff. Michelle (sales manager), Matt (general manager), Chance (assistant manager) & Rhianon (front desk) were all so competent & friendly. The maintenance staff & housekeepers were eager to help with anything. We actually felt like the entire staff were family.

Ias extremely disappointed with my stay. Advertised as brand new, the hotel was instead plagued by mildew, mold, and a pervasive, unpleasant odor. The situation was compounded by a complete lack of care from both the manager and staff. It's disheartening to experience such a substandard stay at a Marriott property. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for accommodations.

This is a new Residence Inn. Close to the water only one building in. We loved the new design of the rooms. The hotel had great service. It was clean and very comfortable Easy walking distance to the water and food. We will stay here again. No questions asked
