We are touring Texas for the first time, family of 5. Came upon the Stockyards on line and Springhill Suites because we need to sleep 5. The Stockyards is great! Rodeo, steakhouses, shopping, music. You can sit on a Texas Longhorn! Clearly a cool and developing tourist stop. A good taste of some Texas stuff in one location. This hotel is in easy walking distance of all of this. It is newer, super clean (my wife is a stickler), has a nice bar, restaurant, nice breakfast included (eggs, sausage, fruit, oatmeal and so on), and pool. Staff was great, Natalie at the front desk was quick and could not help enough. We only stopped by the Stockyards for a day, but we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is a great hotel if you are going to the Stockyards. We stayed on a Saturday night and loved this hotel. The ladies at check in were very friendly. There was an issue with the key programmer while she was doing it, and we had to go back down to get keys programmed again. Once in the room, the toilet seat was lose and a towel rack fell off the wall. These items were fixed before we got back to our room later that night. The room itself was very nice and clean. Huge bathroom. My son had his space and we had ours, it is just separated by a desk with a sliding glass, so not total privacy in either space. There is a shared TV. The location is great, at the end of the shops, but very close to Exchange Street. There was a bar in the lobby which was very popular. They were also serving breakfast on Sunday, but we did not eat there, as we were going to have an early lunch. We self parked at the lot at the hotel for $10 and was able to leave our car in the lot all day Sunday until we were ready to leave. This was definitely a plus. As we were checking out, my husband needed a soft drink to take medication and there was no one at the front desk, he finally realized that she was fixing coffee for someone at the bar and it took quite a long time. All in all - great location, great hotel! Would definitely stay here again.
