The Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa garners appreciation for its tranquil location and wide range of amenities such as a lazy river and spa, which contributes to its suitability for events and retreats. Guests have called out the hotel for its overall cleanliness and the comfortable yet aesthetically pleasing ambiance. However, opinions on service and value are mixed; while some guests commend the friendly staff, others point out slow service and inconsistent communication. Moreover, concerns over room issues and high costs have been noted by several visitors.

Completely relaxing and pleasant in every way! Incredible staff. My stay was a little bittersweet since it was my first time back without my black lab. She loved to travel with us, and Lost Pines was, by far, the most pet friendly site we’ve ever visited. I was pleasantly surprised that everything was “back to normal.” Bellmen we’re on site to help unload and take things up for me and then came back to load up when I left. There was even daily maid service that made the bed, replenished towels and emptied trash. Heaven! Also, I can’t believe I didn’t know the lazy river pool was heated! I guess we’ve always visited in warm months so I never considered that. Highly recommend!

Spent 3 nights over a summer weekend and enjoyed a lot . Pool, lazy river, and water slide were a hit with kids and adults. Service at the pool was great, and even better at our cabana rental (highly recommend for quieter area with more space, good service, and tv). Food was basic but good at the pool (burgers, hot dogs, salads, tacos).

S’mores at night by fire with kids was fun. Kids also loved the arcade room (bring cash as all machines need $). Hiking trails all around if enjoy outdoor activities.

Room wise Junior suite was good space for family of 4, though kids did not like sharing an uncomfortable pull out sofa bed. Ended up getting a rollaway for one kid and that helped. No housekeeping, but can request anything and they are prompt to respond. Suite had small refrigerator.

Sit down food options for meals were limited and had a 30 min wait. Ended up just getting quick stuff from coffee place in morning (pastry, tacos, etc). Dinner options similar to pool menu and very casual. Decided to drive to Bastrop one night instead for dinner and was happy with that choice (only 20 min drive).

Overall enjoyed as a nice family getaway, but not a 5 star hotel. We will likely return!

We stayed here with our granddaughter for our annual trip with her. We were attracted because it had a water park and activities for children onsite. The activities were very good. They did not have a “camp” for kids but they did have free scheduled activities everyday - mostly arts and crafts but also some athletic activities like kickball. Our granddaughter also loved the water park / pool area. Our granddaughter also did the archery/tomahawk throw at additional cost and it was very well done.
My negative comments are on the facilities. Out first room A/C did not work and did not have a 3rd bed or sofa even though our reservation was for 3. They upgraded us to a better room but the water faucets were switched so cold was actually hot, TV remote did not work, no room cleaning for 4 nt stay. The only restaurants were casual with poor service. There was great service in the pool area but the pool was cloudy - not cleaned often enough. I think staffing was a problem.

So, if I am going to give it a grade, I think I'm going to go with a B and then a B+ for some of our servers. The place is nice enough, though fees for things like parking and room service often irk me. The restaurant where we planned to celebrate my friend's birthday was closed the first night, but they sent a bottle of Prosecco to make up for it; so again-- service makes up for a lack. The people were pretty terrific all around, but the prices at the spa were ludicrous. So, if your budget doesn't mind, then I'd say go for it. The scenery is certainly beautiful, and the people were great! I just hate that feeling of "added fees are going to bite you later" when I am trying to relax and celebrate and enjoy my holiday, you know? :)

My wife and 3 kids had a balcony suite with attached double queen room on the 2nd floor. I have stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms and this was absolutely one of the best rooms I have stayed in. It had a lot or room, great lay out with a door closing off the living room to a changing area, door for the bathroom and door for the master bedroom. The living room had two sofas (one fold out to bed), chair, table with bench and chairs plus the balcony. The attached room had a seating area and balcony both had refrigerators and must have been recently updated because the décor was very nice. We did four excursions, family golf, horseback riding, fishing, and axe throwing/archery. Horseback riding was the highlight and very fun for the whole family. Nice golf course and the family package was very well priced. The fishing left little be be desired unless you have very young kids I wouldn't recommend. The equipment is cheep and doesn't work well however my kids caught some small sunfish. They should have provided some water bottles have hand towels. The axe throwing and archery was similarly disappointing. This was very over priced given the cheep bow's and the axe throwing experience was poor compared to other facilities. The food was not anything to write home about. Firewheel cafe dinner buffet was average at best and over priced for the options. Shellers Barrelhouse Bar was good food but nothing special. Lastly, the lazy river and pool was invested with caterpillars to a point where you couldn't get in and out with out one or more on you. The side walls look like they were moving because there were so many. I would have assumed that a few staff members would be walking around with skimmers and trying to carefully clean them up.

We took a 2 night mini vacay out to Lost Pines on Sunday-Monday and were shocked that no guests were wearing masks at all. The staff were all wearing masks, which we appreciated, and there were signs posted all around saying masks were recommended, but no one at all was wearing them. We started to feel self-conscious so we took ours off as well, and only wore them in the elevator. Hope we don't get COVID 6 days from now. Hotel is running at 50% capacity but it definitely felt "crowded."
There is no room service at this time and dining is limited, but we did enjoy the pool, lazy river and kids' slide (running on reduced hours). We wish they would have spaced the kids waiting for the slide on every other step, but what can you do?
Otherwise, I think this hotel is nice but for the money, they need more staffing. There seems to be less staff than usual since the hotel is only running at 50% capacity. The restaurant got our food order wrong twice, and we had an issue with coffee pods and cups being brought to our room. Waited 30 minutes, no coffee. Waited another 30 minutes, still no coffee. Finally went down to the lobby to get it myself. Never got that in-room coffee...oh well!

My husband had been deployed overseas and this was our family vacation to relax and that’s why we picked this resort. Looked pretty and had the amenities we were looking for: a resort and all that is implied by that title, heated pool, lazy river, activities, multiple restaurants, and beautiful property. Besides being a beautiful property, the resort disappointed in every aspect; from service to amenities, it was lacking. We had to ask for the pool heater to be turned on. We were told they don’t turn it on till it goes below 55 degrees which is unbelievable because what kid or adult would want to be in a cold pool. Lazy river was closed. The water slide was freezing cold that no kid had gone on more than once as they screamed from the cold. I had to call the operator for towels Monday morning as nothing was stocked and no staff was anywhere near the pool area. The bar by the pool was swarming with yellow jackets when we were there on Sunday and my husband, another guy and the bartender was stung and the kids kept screaming. That bar was only open on weekends we found out so if we wanted drinks or food, we had to call & go pickup food from the only restaurant open. The “resort” had one restaurant open (beside the Starbucks) for breakfast with the same menu as the other restaurant that’s open for lunch and dinner. Activities were booked up and we could only do fishing. The cherry on top was on the day of checkout, the decorative divider at the checkout desk fell on my daughter’s head causing a laceration and bleeding. The resort should be extremely thankful that she’s ok because it could’ve been a lot worse and that was not the first time this divider has fell on a kid (same thing happened to another kid when we were checking in but didn’t fall on his head).

So in conclusion: we spent on the neighborhood of $4000 to spend our vacation in your resort to relax, have fun, and make happy memories. Instead, service at the only restaurant open was lacking because the waiters were overwhelmed, same menu for all restaurants, false advertisement of multiple restaurants because practically only two were open at different times of the day, false advertisement of heated pool, lazy river, and activities. The advertisement should be, only come Saturday & Sunday..the place shuts down afterwards and be prepared to serve yourself and eat the same food. Basically we wasted our time and money and almost ended up in the hospital with our daughter for a head injury.

We had a great time at Lost Pines. The resort was fantastic, especially for our family with young children. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. It rained one morning and they put on a whole day of activities and movies for the children, which was a life saver. The resort itself is beautiful with plenty to do and see, including animals that the kids absolutely loved. The rooms were comfortable and modern, with plenty of space. The only reason this review isn’t five stars is because of the food - it leaves something to be desired. We weren’t sure if it was impacted by Covid related issues, but we felt it could have been better for the cost. Overall, this place is amazing and we would highly recommend it to anyone with young children.

We stayed here for 4 nights in two beautiful connecting patio rooms. Some rooms have been recently renovated. They are very nice. If you can request this kind of room. Being able to access the property without passing through the whole hotel is very nice. Only thing I wish they would consider is bringing housekeeping back. Hotel sends mixed messages on this. On the website there is a jume 2020 policy saying no housekeeping will be provided. On check in it says on day 4 and in the rooms it says on day 3. The reality is that unless you call to make arrangements they are not providing this service right now. Other than that excellent resort. We felt very comfortable with COVID measures and would certainly come back.

This hotel is STUNNING. Both the grounds, the hotel areas, and the room itself. The room had everything I needed to make this one of the nicest hotel stay experiences of my life. I loved having a bathtub and a shower in the bath, a beautiful patio, the keurig with both coffee and tea selections, places to put my clothes away both hanging and drawers, and little touches like the clock in the bathroom mirror and the motion sensor light under the bed to light the way in the morning- the hotel room curtains allowed the room to be extra dark. The room was cleaned every day and I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet my room was. The food was OUTSTANDING. We had all 3 meals plus snacks provided for us during the conference from the hotel kitchen and everything was more delicious than the last. Lastly, all of the staff was both friendly and helpful. I was here for a work conference but I would love to come back again with my family to enjoy the family activities.
