Nestled in an ideal location for family fun, the Margaritaville Island Hotel is celebrated for its spotless rooms and vibrant atmosphere, though the lively theme can sometimes contribute to noise. The spacious and comfortable rooms, alongside a rooftop pool and convenient in-room amenities like fireplaces, are lauded by guests. While the service garners accolades for its attentiveness, some travelers caution that parking and room rates can be steep. Despite this, the hotel's overall cleanliness and exceptional service make it a popular choice among visitors.

From the moment you walk in you feel comfortable and Covid safety measures are in place everywhere in the lobby. The resort is very nicely laid out. We stayed in a river view suite room on floor two that overlooked the island bridge over top of the main entrance to the hotel lobby. We liked that you can walk outside the hotel and have several activities available. We went to the hotel bar each day and the service was great! Drinks were pricy but had good amounts of alcohol in them. The only negative of the stay was the mold on the ceilings in the corners of the shower. The room was so impeccable that it is almost unreal they would not spray a little bleach on the ceilings to kill the mold to give it a spotless feel. The rooms smelled of bleach / cleaners to disinfect surfaces but was not overpowering. You could definitely tell they took the time to sanitize well. We would stay here again. A great hotel choice in Pigeon Forge!

Had a great time at the Margaritaville island Hotel. The location was excellent and the rooms were spacious and the river view made us feel right in the mountains!
We had trouble with the WiFi in our room but the staff went above and beyond to help us out and make up for whatever issues we were having.
The roof top pool had a beautiful view and the place was cleaned and sanitized constantly during our stay, however, no one entered our rooms for housekeeping to minimize contact.
Would definitely come back again!

We wanted to get away and visit the Jeep invasion. The way Margaritaville payed attention to cleaning and sanitation was excellent , hand sanitizer pump mounted everywhere, rooms smelled clean and asking everyone to wear masks in every shop. We felt as safe as anyone can in an open place with many people.

The rooms were great, however the guest services need some attention. We stayed three nights had to ask for towels twice. Coffee was never replenished, shampoo, shower gel same never replenished. Ask to have the room cleaned and basically just made the beds. No one took out the trash for three days. The rooms are great but the experience could have been so much better if the guest services were on par with the rest of the hotel.

We stayed here in 2017 and absolutely loved this resort so I couldn't wait to get back. Sadly, I think we will be moving on elsewhere from this point forward.

The resort is still lovely, though the atmosphere didn't quite feel the same as the first time. I'm sure some stress may be involved in light of the current world situation, which I understand. When we pulled in, the valet was a little curt when I got out of my vehicle to check in. His tone in asking me what I needed made me feel as though I was making a misstep in trying to check in. We chose to self park, but the parking situation at the resort is not ideal. You do have to park in the same general parking as the public for the Island, though there is a smaller area sectioned off for guests. This is where it can get hairy. When the Island is busy, it's really difficult to turn into guest parking. There are no dashboard permits given to designate a guest vehicle from the general population, though I was informed the parking lot is checked daily. There are not enough parking spaces for guests. If you stay at this resort you are sacrificing close parking for the convenience of location. They do offer valet for $14 a day.

There are no stay over services in light of the pandemic. Completely understandable, but we found our room to be dusty, the tub wasn't pristine, and one of the bath towels was covered in a clump of hair. The pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable. It was very loud near our room, especially when housekeeping used their communication systems. I could also easily hear the neighboring rooms walking around in the mornings.

The rooms are still my favorite as far as decor. The closet is spacious and lighted, though there is a need for a small dresser in my opinion. The bathroom has a lighted mirror, though our shower needed a small shelf or built in space for essentials so that we didn't have to set them on the floor (it was an ADA compliant room.)

We did enjoy the spectacular view from the rooftop, and listening to live music out there was a unique experience. Overall, I don't regret our stay, though it was not as relaxing as before. If you are looking to be on the Island, don't mind the crowds or walking, and can tolerate noise I still recommend this resort. I want to say I'll be back, but the jury is out.

Dear thebelleofthebook, Thank you so much for your review. First I would like to apologize for your recent stay. We appreciate your feedback, without it we would not be able to address your concerns with our employees. We value all of our guests and want them to have a great time staying with us. We will certainly share your feedback with them. We do have two designated gated lots specifically for our hotel guests in which you have to use your hotel room key to enter, I am not sure why you were directed to park in the general lot. We ask at check in vehicle information and do lot checks based on that information nightly. I am so sorry for the miscommunication. Thank you again for staying with us and hope to have you stay with us again in the future. Fins up!

This hotel is more like a resort. We really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the shops, especially the bird mountain store which allowed us veils of the exotic parrots from the comfort of our balcony. Housekeeping is top notch. They use the highest quality of cleaning supplies, and provided assistance whenever we needed. Did not see management, but they must have been busy somewhere doing their job . Great management, great team, great hotel. Highly recommended. My only suggestion is to provide some type of coupon to alert guests that there is a $5 off discount available for the ride pass. My kids loved it all. Will be back, and will be upgrading to fountain view next time!!!

The Island Hotel with Fountain View was nice as well as comfortable. The rooftop pool/hot tub was nice to relax at in the afternoons after walking around the island shops. Paula Deen's Family Kitchen was enjoyable with endless food. Unfortunately, I would NOT suggest the room service or bar food at the hotel, I have had better in school cafeterias. Also, make sure if you are going to be out late in the evening and want to eat after 10:30 to make arrangement prior because there are no options on the property after that time (except vending machines) and most restaurants said they stop taking delivery orders an hour or so before closing time. I feel like if you are going to serve high dollar drinks until 11pm-12am their should be better food options beyond that time as well. I would like to give a shout out to MONTE and Betty Jo for their friendliness and attentive service. Both of them really stood out during our stay.

Stayed two nights around a trip to Dollywood. Large room and comfortable beds but cleaning levels not as high as anticipated, especially in the bathroom where there was a lot of dust along towel rails etc. Rooftop bar fun but area around the pool seemed dirty and dangerous (loose paving stones). Some staff more friendly than others, I was surprised not to receive the famous Southern hospitality from many, instead getting little more than a grunt. The hotel sits in an artificial 'town' with restaurants and bars etc. This is fun for a couple of hours but after a while we wanted to go somewhere that felt a bit more genuine. The fountain display was fun to watch from the roof bar.

If you don't have much baggage, save yourself $18 a day on valet parking and park just over the bridge for free.

An outside light on the balcony overlooking the river would have been nice so we could sit outside after dark.

I understand the gift shops in the same complex are not owned by the hotel but I was surprised by the number of Trump 2024/Trump Won, 'Guns are my family', '9mm over 911' etc merchandise in so-called 'patriotic' stores as well as frankly racist items like 'Covid 19 was made in China' t-shirts. If I was the hotel management I might be relaying my concerns to the Island management about three image this portrays to guests, considering these stores sit directly under the hotel guest rooms. Then again, the server in the hotel coffee shop was holding a Confederate flag wallet so perhaps that's just the way things are in this town.

Stayed for 3 nights and housekeeping did not show up a single day. We made sure to remove the do not disturb sign and we were gone from noon until late at night every time, plenty of time, but they never showed up. Upon first walking into the room, we headed to the balcony and got a hornet fly right into our heads. We looked up and there were 2 pretty good size nests. Told the front desk guy and he acted like he was going to call maintenance to have it removed, but that night when we returned, the nests were still there, they never came to remove them. Couldn’t use the balcony the entire stay. For over $400 a night, clean towels, trash taken out, and being able to use a balcony should not be too much to ask. The air conditioner barely blew at night so it got pretty uncomfortable in the room making it hard to sleep. People would gather on the hallway close to our room and you could hear their entire conversation for quite some time. On our checkout day, valet parking was so busy apparently, that we got texted that our car would take 30 minutes to be retrieved. We needed to head to the airport, so we got it ourselves. The only feasible way to park is really through valet parking. If you park your own car, you have a long ways to walk along with all the visitors coming to the Island. Driving through was a nightmare due to so many people walking and crossing not allowing cars to pass.
