Detailed Reviews
This is truly a beautiful hideaway. The fully renovated room was very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Lovely touches such as local roasted coffee and sourdough as part of there condiments. The ever changing view from the kitchen window brought pure joy. The bed was very comfortable and of course being pet friendly we could have our dog with us. The garden setting was great and we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoyed a cool drink. Bec and Jeff were great hosts and went above and beyond

This was a nice place at the edge of town, walking distance to the main hotel that serves dinner and the general store. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The power to the town went out when we were there and they brought flashlights quickly and made sure we were okay. They have a communal pool, BBQ and laundry. The beds were adequate and the room had a strange layout with 2 bunk beds located in the passageway to the bathroom. It was a bit stuffy as the air con was a bit weak. The bathroom and shower were fine.

What a wonderful place to stay! Bec and Jeff are amazing, accommodating hosts and provide so many little extras.Things like charging station, condiments, glad wrap, delicious sour dough and spreads, etc, etc. The self contained rooms are so clean with comfy beds, a great shower, and verandah to sit on. The grounds are just beautiful and the BBQ/kitchen area is so well equipped with everything could want. We had a fabulous family gathering there and Jeff went out of his way to light the fire pits, provide extra chairs and even made his specialty ‘emu egg’ snack.
We do a lot of travelling and the Hideaway is one of the loveliest places we have stayed at. It’s a short walk to the pub which has great meals. We highly recommend you stay here.

Rarely in our travels do we find a place as good as Marlo Hideaway.
The owners are exceptional in the way the welcome you and there are so many small touches that show how much they love what they do.
The property is spotlessly clean and everything is perfect.
Well done, we could not have chosen better.

Marlo Hideaway is a fabulous motel in a beautiful part of Victoria. I usually just stay the one night with my family on the way home from camping, but this time we had 3 nights. The new owners Bec & Jeff are lovely and very helpful. Rooms are really comfy and the Smart TV includes NETFLIX. The facilities are fabulous including access to a free laundry and a fully equipped undercover outdoor bbq / cooking / entertaining area including a chiminea. It’s a short walk to the excellent Marlo Pub.

We were very glad we discovered Marlo Hideaway.
Our unit was scrupulously clean, quiet and thoughtfully appointed - plus, it was only a hop, skip and jump to the Marlo Hotel for a delicious dinner! The room had its own kitchen and there was a delightful deck area outside. There are also bbq facilities and a swimming pool on site.
In the morning, we drove to Cape Conran for a swim in the sea and admired the scenery on the way.

My friend and I loved the Marlo Hideaway and meeting Jeff and Bec (the owners). They were fabulous hosts and even booked dinner for us at the Marlo pub (great food) one night. The rooms were very appealing and there were lots of nice extra touches. Highly recommend staying here but do book ahead so you don't miss out. I will definitely go back.
