Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Management was rude towards our party of 16 ( 8 adults & 8 children) from the start. Once we were set up, management came over to the camp site to count people to what was charged. The first night we were told at 9:20pm to “quiet down the talk” and “stop the excessive laughing”. We were then told under no circumstances glass is permitted in the pool, however later that day management passed the pool with other guests drinking beer and did not say a word. 2 rules for different guests and being watched like a hawk is not on. We will not be back

Thankyou for your review. The overbearing management as you like to describe us have an obligation/duty to act on (numerous) complaints from other guests staying in the park about your behaviour which was explained to you when you came to the office the following day to apologize and to pay for the extra people that you decided could stay on site without informing management.

The park itself will be great in 5-10 years when the trees have grown. A great park if you are travelling solo or as a couple. But terrible of you are meeting up with a group.
The downfall is the managers. They are rude. For some reason they had it in for our group from the moment we arrived. We were 4 families catching up for Xmas new year. We were respectful of others around us but we were targeted. We have done this for 25 years with and without kids and never before has their been an issue.
We got told off for laughing excessively, and being noisy all before 10pm. We were no louder than our neighbours.
Our group got into trouble for having glass in the pool area and that’s fair enough BUT not when they ignore others doing the exact same thing.
They targeted our group for some reason. We were clean & respectful of others at all times.
I suggest these managers find a quieter occupation as they certainly aren’t suitable to a holiday park with this much potential.

Thank you for your review. Your group were not targeted at all. We have an obligation/duty to act on (numerous) complaints from other guests staying in the park (who are also here to enjoy their holiday). We do understand your frustration however you still need to show respect for others.

This park is pleasant. The staff are a delight but the park is average. The sites are well grassed and generous in size. There is a kids play ground and a pirate ship. There is also room for game of cricket if you wish. A pond is on the edge with water birds and horses. The pool is on the small size but fun. It is quite deep. The amenities are showing their age.

The lady who checked us in was very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in one of the cabins which was clean and well appointed.
We cooked our dinner and all the necessary kitchen equipment was in the kitchen.
Had a really quiet location, great water pressure and a comfy bed.
In the morning I got up and took some lovely sunrise shots over the dam.

We stayed 2 nights the weekend just past in tents on a powered site. We also had another couple join us and having 2 sites side by side was no issue when we requested. We arrived outside of check-in hours and all details were left in an envelope for us. All amenities very clean and great facilities for the kids (playground, pool, mini golf). Sites are large, permanent residents lovely to speak to, staff friendly, well maintained and manicured gardens. We'd love to visit and stay again.

I have never come across a ruder person in all our travels. Our camping site was double booked and we asked if we could move to a different (empty) area of the park where we could see the playground. The lady at the front desk called my partner an arrogant bastard and asked who he thought he was demanding where he stays. She then came and threw my money from the booking and told us to leave. This was in front of my shocked 2 and 4 year old. The two ladies were with us who had the double booked site as we were all trying to solve the problem. They were just as shocked with the rudeness of the lady and called around to leave the park as well as they couldn’t believe how she had spoken to us and in front of the kids. I would never recommend this place. When we checked into our new caravan park the lady at reception guessed where we had come from and apologised for the behaviour. She said unfortunately this is not the first person that has left the park and come to theirs because of poor customer service.

While my actual accommodation was adequate for my 5 day stay, (even though I was placed beside the Dump Pit), I still felt a Review was required regarding other inappropriate features of the park. I traveled with my family who included 4 young granddaughters. The signage near the boom gate was disgusting. "Free blowjob. Now that we have your attention, slow the f*** down." Because this place is so busy especially at this time of the year, is this vulgarity necessary? Surely the Slow down Speed limit is sufficient????
Wifi was advertised as a feature. This was non existent. Apparently there was an issue.
An 18 hole golf course was advertised. 90% of the pars were unusable- pipes were broken, the pars were covered in weeds, sticks and water. The girls would have loved
to use this facility.
I will not be staying here again, and don't recommend it.

We enjoyed staying in the Mansfield Holiday Park. The cabin was nice and clean, the people were friendly, it was so quiet and peaceful. The views are beautiful and there is plenty to see and do around the area. Would definately recommend going there for a visit. It was so pretty and green around the whole area. Good time of the year to go.

WORST place to stay in Mansfield.

At the reception of Mansfield Holiday Park while I was sorting out the booking and I faced my brother to ask him if we should stay the two nights or the one night. We spoke in our own language, as English isn’t our first language, and the manager said “EXCUSE ME BUT CAN YOU SPEAK IN ENGLISH IN MY PRESENCE AS IT EXTREMELY RUDE!!”

We were shocked and said we were just discussing if we should stay one or two nights, and that we decided two nights. And then she started lecturing us on how its rude to speak in another language in front of other people. We couldn’t believe this and told her we’ll just stay the one night as we don’t want to stay in a place where the manager has a re.dneck mentality and then we walked out of the reception. She then RAN after us and continued her arrogant lecture. And she said how can I have racist mentality when I’m not even Australian… Imagine if you go to China and you are checking in at the reception of a hotel and you ask your family member something in English and the manager starts lecturing you cause you didn’t speak to your family member in CHINESE in front of them!!! How ridiculous would that be, well now I know. Then to make matters worse she said “YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE” (I don’t know if she meant the holiday park or Australia in general).

This killed our mood for the day. Then the day got worse when the other manager came huffing and puffing to our cabin 5 minutes later. He was threatening in his body language and demeanour and asked what happened. While telling him he told me to shut up and pointed his finger at me (because he didn’t agree with what I was saying), talk about customer service and the friendly people you except in country towns. Then when he finally heard me out, he became passive after that (because he realised the other manager was in the wrong). I felt sorry for him to get involved in this because he seemed like a nice bloke. But the worst thing was, when he was defending her (the other manager), I asked him that in NT there are Aboriginal communities who don’t speak any English, and if they were speaking their Aboriginal language in front of him, would he find that rude? He said YES!!! Like seriously imagine if the Aboriginals asked him to stop speaking English in front of them!!! You can’t because Aboriginals don’t have such subconscious racist mentality. With more tourists coming from Asia to Australia, these managers BADLY need cultural awareness training!! They ruined my stay in such a lovely country town. She reminded me of Pauline Hanson.

The man who runs this place is just a very angry man. He has as a terrible attitude. I would not recommend this place as the guy is off the chain. Tried to have a conversation but had to hang up as he was just nasty and abusive.

Your son and his mates are HOONS... They were KICKED OUT for thinking the caravan park was their private race track. They had no respect for the other people in the park, including the kids riding their bikes at the time. If kicking then out makes me a bully, then yes, I am a Bully and the other families in this park are glad I am.

Hi Trevor, sorry I was not aware of your question until today. I am not sure if it is pet friendly. Best bet would be to give them a call.
