Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

My wife, daughter and myself had the need to visit my hometown of Coleraine after an long absence of some 10 years and we chose The Black Horse Inn as our preferred accommodation- and wow what a wonderful surprise it was. My family and i have worked Internationally and travelled overseas extensively and we have stayed in 5+ star places and 2 star places around the world, however, The Black Horse Inn is one of the finest places we have ever stayed at. Dy and Ken were extremely warm, friendly and caring hosts, who made you feel very welcome from the time of booking the accomodation, which is superb and they provide everything from a comfort point of view that you would need, wonderfully furnished with period items that reflect the history of Coleraine but in a extremely comfortable fashion. Located right in the centre of town, with good parking right in front of the accomodation. Dy and Ken really know how to run a business based on hospitality and comfort as the key elements of what they provide, delightful people and a place we have no hesitation in giving the highest recommendation as to a place you should stay - wonderful people indeed.

The cottage was a wonderful find coming back to my home town not having lived there for a long time. As we usually stay with family when coming back to Coleraine for a weekend, it was a delight to find such beautiful heritage accommodation.
Dy and Ken were wonderful hosts and everything you needed for a weekend away was provided They shared their knowledge of the heritage property with us and were happy to show us through their own private quarters. A very enjoyable stay.

Spent a night at the Black Horse Inn in Coleraine. It is a fabulous little place that is a blast from the past. This spacious B&B has a lovely lounge, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom that is beautifully decorated to give you a feeling of days gone by.
I highly recommend the Black Horse for value and also the experience.

This place is an absolute pure delight from start to finish.
Dy and Ken are a real treat. They made everything simple and welcoming. From the moment we entered the building we were taken back immediately by the place. I instantly wanted to stay longer.
Attention to detail and spotlessly clean. What a treat.
Thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful place with us.

Our third stay here and we love it. Awesome hospitality, spotless, comfy bed, great decor. The back yard, recently done up is lovely and a pleasant place to sit and have drink. All right in the middle of a lovely little town.
Highly recommend!!

This treasure was immaculately clean, with careful and thoughtful attention to detail inside and even outside in the garden
Hosts were generous and welcoming providing us with an unexpected cheese and fruit platter.

We spent a night here but left wanting longer. The owners were Friendly and happy to help. The accomodation was awesome, amazing decor with so many interesting pieces, there was everything you could possibly need and more. Great heating and cooling. Cheese, fruit and biscuits on arrival, plunger coffee and assortment of teas. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Right in the Main Street with plenty of parking. Definately recommend. Thank you Dy and Ken.

My husband and I spent a night here and it was so much more than we expected. Friendly and very obliging owners, spotless accomodation and if you like history this is for you. Charming decor, full kitchen, great bathroom and lovely lounge, bed comfortable. Ample of everything.
Cheese, biscuits and fruit on arrival, plunger coffee and assortments of tea.
And all for only $120 a night for two. Great value, highly recommend, thanks Dy and Ken.
