A lovely old Town House hotel, rebuilt in 1780 for the Williams- Wynne family, then a coaching inn known originally as The Unicorn (Our full name is officially : The Wynnstay, Herbert Arms and Unicorn Hotel!!) We have been welcoming travellers for centuries, and would love to add you to that growing list, so book now to avoid disappointment!!!

Popped in to try pizza restaurant which is part of the hotel. It was relatively quiet being out of season which was to our benefit.
Lovely welcoming waiting staff, great choice of starters and selection of pizzas which were freshly made and pipping hot.

A great place to stay full of character and characters Very friendly staff always ready to please. The breakfast was good with a good choice. The bedroom was small but comfortable an d adequate for a one night stay.I would stay again
This Hotel had some charm bit of a rough diamond. Tired looking rooms but warm adequate and welcoming. The Staff faultless friendly and as warm as the open fire and Burners. Good breakfast would stay again.
I was there 2 nights. The staff was friendly, the dining room cozy and the dinner was excellent. Not fancy but comfortable. The town is small but charming with nice shops and several restaurants. I visited the Corris mine and went to a choir concert.
