Really cool place right on the trolley line to Beale Street -- but you can also easily walk there too. I wouldn't recommend walking back at night (especially since there are no staff at the Rambler, just keypad access to the building), but it's fine during the day.

We had a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Plenty of space for three adults and 4 kids! Kitchen was great but a couple of additional things would have been a nice touch (like garbage bags, dish soap, or more than 1 days worth of coffee!). Not a big deal since grocery stores are within walking distance.

Pool was great and kids loved it. Some guests must have left a lot of trash outside one night which went into the pool, but management quickly had someone come take care of it when we alerted them.

No frills location, but I'd definitely stay here again. Overall, for the price, excellent place!

We enjoyed our stay although with the negatives listed belows. The apartment was very nice with TV'S in both rooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with lots of utensils. The Jacuzzi and pool were added bonuses which we used. There were even extra towels for use at the pool. Theres a free washing machine downstairs. It is located on a quiet street so we got plenty of rest. You can download and use an app to rent bikes to ride to Beal street and other places. The bikes are conveniently just 100 meters up the street on Main Street. We rented bikes and rode over the Mississippi and in to Arkansas, and also to Sun studios.

Disliked · BEDBUGS! I was bitten on the shoulder and the back several times while sleeping in the bedroom. I have stayed in Hotels and ABNBs all over the world and have never been bitten before, so I had pretty much denied their existence. The marks they left on me took a month to heal, and I was going on a beach vacation the next week so everyone got to see them. This was very unfortunate since overall we loved the Apartment. The AC is too strong and blew too much cold air even on a lower setting. I ended up with a sore throat after going to the pool and returning to the room. Because of this I wasnt able to enjoy the pool and Jacuzzi for the rest of our stay. The whole apartment complex is controlled by your room code. When we showed up ours did not work. We called and they were able to open the door, but the new code they gave me didnt work. I ended up getting locked out at the pool area and was lucky another guest heard my pounding on the door since I didnt have a phone with me.

Nice apartment - not quite enough lounge seating for 4 adults, we had a 2 bed 2 bath apartment, bedroom and bathrooms were great. Good kitchen area, coffee pods provided. Easy to message for additional needs. Used the washer and dryer in the laundry room, pods are provided.
Be aware you have to park in the direction of the traffic outside, we’re from UK and don’t know this, got a parking ticket. Great location walkable to Beale St and across the road from Civil Rights museum.

We wanted to love this place because it’s a beautiful building in a great location, but we were very frustrated and disappointed with our experience.

After completing the pre-check in form, we received an email with our room number and access code to the building and our room. We called two days prior to confirm that there wouldn’t be an issue with a late arrival, as we had a full day of driving and would not be arriving until 9pm. Management assured us that would not be a problem as the access code we were given was able to be used 24/7 to access the building and our room. When we arrived we got to the room that was assigned and used the access code to get in, finding the room to be occupied. The guest were not there, but all of their belongings were. We called management and they proceeded to tell us that we had not completed the pre-check in form. We reiterated that we had clearly filled out the form and sent proof of the email we had received granting us access to an occupied room. Finally they gave us yet another form to fill out to grant us access to a different room. We expressed our great concerns for the lack of security and they assured us this would be investigated and chalked it up to a change in management software. Yet later reading reviews, we came across a similar incident where access was granted into an occupied room. So clearly this is not a one off incident, which is completely unacceptable.

The “new” room we got ended up being the 3 bedroom penthouse, which was a beautiful space, yet shortly after our entering, the neighbours in the space next to us arrived. These rooms are divided with a locked partition wall that can be opened to create one 6 bedroom unit, which has literally no sound proof. We could make out every sound and word that was said next door. Which turned out to be extremely loud later in the night as the neighbours decided to have a party with blaring music, tons of people and dogs barking. Finally at 3am we went next door to ask if they could quiet down, as we had a full day planned and nobody could sleep in our group. After 20 minutes with no change in volume next door, we called management to ask them to talk to them. At about 3:45am the party finally ended. The next day we tried to get back into the building after our full day out and our access code would not work for the main door. Luckily we had the old access code for our original room (that clearly hadn’t been changed for the guests in that room that we had access to), which let us in the main door. Management kept saying the main door access issues were being dealt with, but there are so many reviews for this place complaining of this issue. Also the main hallways wreak of marijuana, so not sure how much of a non-smoking building it is for anyone with sensitivities to that.

The remote management of this building doesn’t seem to be working for the amount of issues that presented themselves during our stay.

Rambler is In a great location with excellent coffee over the road and the civil rights museum over the road and central BBQ very close too
The apartment is very stylish with comfortable beds and was clean when we arrived
My issues were more to do with what there wasn’t say compared to full service hotel or an air BnB
It’s much more like the latter with no help onsite at all but equally the flat was not well equipped
No bottled water
No garbage sacks
No washing up liquid
No curtains or blinds over bedroom windows
2 glasses only and no wine glasses
No iron or ironing board or clothes rack
Nearest food shop was 10-15 mins walk
Shower was nice but triumph of style over practicality
Then at the end of our visit I thought I had been allowed a late check out of 1pm it turned out that we hadn’t and our entry codes had been cancelled with all our luggage and passports etc locked in our room
Yes the help was available but not onsite
If this is the new way of staying in hotels with no service then I’m not sure I want it

Our apartment had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, fantastic for 2 couples traveling together. It was modern, clean and spacious. The Civil Rights Museum was right across the road and Central BBQ was around the corner. Easy walk to Beale Street, The Peabody and local eateries. We made use of the free laundry room, 2 washers and 2 dryers. The swimming pool area was great for relaxing with a BBQ alfresco where you could cool your drinks in the provided fridges. Highly recommend this hotel for comfort and the facilities.

Remote hotel management company. No management on site, so it’s perfect for those wanting to violate the arbitrary rules. Loved the room, hated the experience overall. It’s 3:40 AM and obscene music by the pool with a loud crowd in the hot tub right outside my window. Rules don’t seem to apply here. There is no sense of security on site at this hotel. There is not one person available for regulating activities. No front desk. Inconsiderate hotel guests with no regard for the rights of others. Heavy pot smoke in the elevator and wafting down the floors. Cannot recommend for anyone since it does not seem to be family friendly and if you had an important event the next day, you’ll likely not get any rest. Great expectations that resulted in overwhelming disappointment.

We booked about 6 weeks in advance and prepaid. When we arrived, we called as we hadn’t received an access code yet. It turns out they had switched systems and our reservation wasn’t transferred to their new system. They could see it in their old system but they had allowed someone else to book the room we had reserved and so refused to honor our reservation even though we had booked first and fully paid. They had another room available for our first night but not for the second. So we had to find another hotel for our second night, which was more than twice as expensive given it was last minute. They didn’t even offer an apology or anything else. Simply an “oh that’s frustrating for you.” The space itself was fine (albeit echoey and we could hear everything in the adjacent apartment as they are connected with a sliding door). But do not expect them to honor your reservation, even if you prepaid.

Will NEVER return to the Rambler. Got locked in to the pool area on March 21, pounded on all doors, then had to climb out of the steel gate on my bare feet. Missed all morning appointments. Management stated my experience was "unacceptable" but did little to compensate. Terrible customer care.

Stayed here for two nights with a friend recently.

The block is made up of a number of apartments. We were in a two bed apartment. However, one of the rooms has no complete wall because of the ceiling pipes etc and whenever the other door opened (WHICH BADLY NEEDED OILING!) the whole wall would move!

Two bad nights sleep for the person in the room with no full wall!

The pool was nice however and the laundry was useful which is free!

Beale Street is approx a 10 min walk and Graceland 15 mins in an Uber.

Memphis was very quiet the two nights we were there (Mon & Tues) and a lot of restaurants etc were closed!

I think The Rambler is pretty new but if they make some minor improvements then it's a nice option rather than a hotel!
