Me, my husband, & grandson went here on our travels. No complaints. The room was very nice & everyone, especially Corey, was very nice & accommodating. He even put us on the top floor because there were things going on on the lower floors & he didn't want us bothered. Thank you, Corey! We would return here in a heartbeat!!

Except for the unusual and optional up charge for breakfast, this property had much to recommend it, including clean and comfortable rooms and smiling and pleasant customer service reps. Although our room was on the street side, the hotel was recessed from the road and had obviously been constructed with an eye towards better sound insulation; we did not hear nighttime traffic noise, which is a godsend in and of itself. A Waffle House and Cracker Barrel are located nearby if you want to have breakfast out, and there are other reliable chains for dinner, should you decide to pass on Memphis BBQ. But don't--it's too good!

Very pretty lobby, fast check in, very nice man that check us in on 1-12-20 at night, I think his name was Cody! the room was clean, we stayed in a corner room, room 501, very large, our little girl was so happy. The only thing I could say about how clean the room was, i that the ice bucket lid had something sticky on it and the kitchen floor could have been mopped maybe. other than that everything else was great, clean sheets, nice comfy pillows. I love that the tv was direct tv, thats what I have at home!! very cool. very very quite, we didnt hear no one, the whole time we was there. Nice pool, again our little one was very happy there. We was shocked when we went down to breakfast and had to pay. We always stay at Holiday Inn and have never been charge , ever. But saying that the breakfast was the best we have had. The biscuits and gravey was the best, the bacon, also the french toast was super good. Nice lady that got our drinks, and they kept fresh hot food and also helped my while making our plates, a man did. He was very helpful. We felt safe. We would stay again, just disapointed that we paid almost $175.00 and didnt get a free breakfast. :( :(

Mendy D, Thank you for staying with us and the great feedback on your experience. The breakfast buffet is an expanded buffet served in addition to the ala cart menu that is cook to order in the restaurant. While we do have packages that include breakfast in the room rate - it is not standard as a part of most due to the cook to order menu and expanded options vs a Continental breakfast. We look forward to serving you again soon. Thanks, Jonathan

Feels like an older hotel that has been recently renovated/updated. Rooms are nice. There's also some meeting rooms and event spaces if you need that sort of thing. There's an on-site pool, but I didn't check it out.

Key cards for the rooms are finnicky. They frequently stop working. The guy at the front desk told us you can't get them anywhere near a cell phone or similar electronics or it wipes them. That doesn't sound very practical in 2022. Maybe get better key card tech?

Breakfast is weird. If you want hot breakfast you have to have some voucher. Otherwise, it's cold breakfast only. If those vouchers weren't included with your room you can buy them. (Though, if I'm paying for breakfast then I am just going to go to a legit full service restaurant for breakfast.) It seems to mostly create confusion and anger among the guests (just read the other reviews). So, I'm not sure what they were thinking. Just provide hot breakfast to *ALL* of yours guests and adjust room rates accordingly. Duh.

Finally, to the d-bags who feel the need to park their long trucks and pick-ups with trailers sideways across 8 parking spots. Could you maybe not do it right by the door? That's rather selfish and obnoxious.

The young man who checked us in was very nice. The room was strange -- dated, with some of the weirdest furniture I have ever seen in a hotel. It was like we were in Pennsylvania Dutch country instead of Memphis. The fabric headboard had big holes in it with the foam rubber underneath poking out. Towels had strings hanging off and my washcloth had a hole in it. The room smelled odd; this property has some age on it and although some improvements were made at some point, it wasn't enough and it's now too worn. The bed was comfortable enough. The internet did not work and when I complained to the front desk, the person who answered (NOT the nice guy who checked us in) blamed it on our devices. He said he was surfing the web just fine and that no one else had complained. He said I'd have to call another number, which I did, and that turned out to be an internet help desk for IHG hotels. The young man who answered was extremely nice and said that absolutely there was no problem with our devices, but rather with the property's internet. He worked on it for 45 minutes while I was on the phone. That was not how I wanted to spend my evening after traveling all day. He never was able to get the internet to work for us so we ended up using our personal hotspots which we could have done to begin with, but in this day and age there is no reason for the internet not to work seamlessly in a $150 a night hotel room. Breakfast the next morning was adequate. the only bright spot was a young lady named Robin, in housekeeping, who was so sweet and nice to us when we went back to our room following breakfast, to pack up and leave. I was so impressed with her that I gave her a tip and thanked her for her great attitude. We had a reservation to stay at this property the following week on our way back home, but I promptly canceled it and booked a room at the La Quinta down the street. It was wonderful. Avoid this Holiday Inn at all costs; for the most part they are phoning it in.

We stayed here this month to attend Grizzlies game and was looking for nice but reasonable room with indoor pool and close to shopping. This fit the bill. The website had not updated pics yet online so I called first to make sure the renovation was complete and was told it was. I booked the 2 bed suite and a king bed suite to accommodate my family. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Plenty of USB ports and receptacles for charging. Bathroom with door from bedroom and door from living room. Sink area very spacious with toilet and shower separate. The tub/shower area was pretty typical of any HI, but the sink area room was very spacious with full length mirror. Large living room with tv in both living area and bedroom. Beautiful corner room with lots of windows. We didn’t use the kitchen except for coffee (k-cups), but it has refrigerator, sink, and microwave. The indoor pool was large, nice hot tub, plenty of lounge chairs. We could see Wolfchase Galleria from our 5th floor window. Access was through the parking lot directly to Mall parking. We chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel, so my husband drove to McDonalds only .6 mile away. Other options too nearby. We ate in room with plenty places to sit and eat in the living room. I’m attaching pics I took as leaving , so excuse the mess. These are of 2 queen beds suite, but our king suite was just like it except for beds. It was about 25 min drive to Fedex Forum on a Fri night, and no issue driving to the parking garage attached to Westin which is across street from Fedex. We self parked for $20 on 2nd floor of that garage. Could see fedex from garage. I would definitely consider staying here again if just planning on going to the game downtown and not other activities downtown. Would be too far if you had multiple activities downtown over more than one day and had to drive back and forth.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The recently renovated rooms provided so many electric plug in and usb connections that was a delight. We were on a long road trip so we brought conveniences from home. Bring up breakfast provided by the hotel gave us a chance to use the items brought from home for our specific tastes. The hotel is located close to the city so a short drive got us to all the tours and sites that we wanted to see. A close famous restaurant know for great barbecue, Corky’s, gave us a dinner that was perfect and so delicious. A stay here is a blessing not to be missed.

We had a nice night at this LQ. Evening desk clerk was very kind & helpful. Our room was near the lobby so it was a convenient in & out. Room was large and clean. After some LQ stays where we had dirty carpet I was happy to have a room with no carpet. There was a $20 pet fee which I don't mind at all but I think pet fees should be made known at the time reservations are made. The bathroom fan could use replacement. It was LOUD! All in all, this was a nice LQ & I've added it to my list of places to stay again.

Cons; My kids came home with Hot tub folliculitis and I NEVER allow my kids to go in hot tubs for that reason. The kids only used the indoor pool and a cold water pool has to be pretty high in bacteria to harbor those kind of germs in a standard regular pool temperature not a hot temperature. In addition my mom went into the pool and came home with swimmer's ear because of the bacteria in the pool that collected in her ear. If you do not intend to use the pool great hotel, courteous staff but obviously not taking care of their facilities. There are a lot of people that come to stay for Sat/Sun have a little party and then leave so I am thinking after all the people on the pool Saturday they did not appropriately clean for the crowd they had. (I used to work at a water park so I do know regular matainance is important to keep people healthy)

Good place to stay, located close to several restaurants and the mall area. Safe neighborhood, plenty of free parking.

Complimentary breakfast with choice of bagels, yogurt, milk, hard boiled eggs, etc. Served so that you take it to your room instead of eating downstairs.

No housekeeping unless you stay more than 5 days. This was explained at check in. They provide extra towels, soap, etc if needed.

Would stay again.
