Were I just rating the accommodations and the staff, this would be a 5 star rating with a single exception. This hotel is well kept and all staff members were courteous, pleasant and meeting or exceeding in their job duties with the possible exception of housekeeping. However, there were multiple parties going on with loud children, running, staying up until 2 AM in the room next door, spells of loud talking/squealing, slamming against walls, taking over the entire pool area including having a table set up with pizza, balloons and cake. We have stayed at this hotel 1 time previously with similar circumstances and now that we have experienced this a second time, will not return. We are loyal customers of Embassy Suites due to our family size and love of the made to order breakfast.
My digital key did not work, so I checked in at the front desk. Staff were very nice and conversational. I was given a choice of snack to go with my complimentary bottled water as a Hilton Honors member. Our room was clean overall. The drawer from the mini-fridge was left in the bar sink with water in it, the tub drain was down and there was standing water there, and a drawer was open in the dresser in the bedroom. We discovered only 4 towels and a single pillow for the sofa bed. I stopped by the front desk and they informed they would send someone. This person arrived quickly with our needed items. When we returned late the following day, our towels had been refreshed (but again, only 4 when we needed 5) and a single trash can emptied but nothing else had been cleaned of our room including the other trash cans or making the beds. Also, for all hotels, everywhere, please vacuum under the sofa bed. Every single one we pull out has trash underneath...gross.
When I checked in, we were given "tickets" for breakfast and wristbands for evening reception & pool use. This does not feel equal to the quality of Embassy Suites and instead feels very low class. However, after seeing the multitude of guests obviously attending parties at the hotel, it made sense. We did not make use of the pool because every time we walked past, there were 20-30 people in there. To be clear, I was traveling with my own children, ages 13, 9, & 7 so I don't have an issue with children. I have an issue with too many children. All of those children were also at breakfast and picking up food with their hands.
The breakfast food quality and staff were up to Embassy Suites standards. We enjoyed that as we usually do and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. It just ruins your experience to have so many poorly behaved, out of control guests. I have not experienced anything of this volume at any other Embassy Suites but I have experienced it here twice. I won't be burned again.

Nice hotel with great Italian restaurant in the lobby area. Beds are very comfortable. Room maintenance issues need to be reported by cleaning staff. Missing coffee in rm 528 and 529 had a broken sink stopper.

As far as Embassy Suites go, this location is among the better ones I have stayed in. The lobby is very spacious and the dining area for the reception and breakfast is nice and big. Lots of area to sit.

The beds were comfortable and enhanced our stay. Even my child on a sofa sleeper was comfortable. The water was hot and the room presents very well.

The breakfast was really good, although it took a while to have it ready not quite ready at 6:30 am.

I only docked them to a 4 because the AC in the room never cooled the room. It stayed warm all night. Also, use the app to check in and avoid a room on the west side. We stayed in 208 and it was right above the bar. Even though it closed at 10 pm, the noise continued until about 11pm.

Hannah at front desk was great as was the entire breakfast crew.

As a weekly traveler, I have stayed at lots of hotels and expect more than this from an Embassy Suites. First, they renovated this hotel and the lobby area looks great, much improved! But the rooms themselves, you can't put lipstick on a pig and think people don't notice. And the lack of attention from housekeeping is really unacceptable. I was in this room one week after the New Year and there is big pieces of celebration confetti on the floor in the room. There is no way a vacuum cleaner has been run in this room or this would be gone. The refrigerator is so dirty that I kept my bottled water in the grocery bag so it didn't have to touch the inside. The paper coffee cups still in the plastic were covered in spilled coffee. You can just tell that if this room was even cleaned, someone did a swipe and go and called it a day. The rooms are also still very tired. There is new furniture after the reno but some of the built ins don't seem to have been replaced. Sadly I will elect to make another hotel choice next time I am in Memphis which is monthly. This hotel needs to step up their game and at a minimum make housekeeping a priority. If I were the manager, I would be on this immediately and if the existing team can't get onboard, get some new people who take pride in their work!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Our General Manager is currently focusing on our housekeeping efforts with our Executive Housekeeper to improve, adding supervisory staff and providing additional training. I am sorry that your experience was sub par and that is not acceptable to us. We are planning some upgrades during the winter season as well to improve our guest experience. I hope that you will give us a chance again in the future to make this up to you. If there is anything that we can do assist you further, please feel free to reach out to our General Manager. Again, we appreciate the comments so that we can improve.

This is one of the worst Embassy Suites we’ve visited. We travel for business and spend four nights a week in a hotel so I’m very familiar with hotel brands. This Embassy needs a rehab ASAP. The guest attendant said we had a premium room (hence the rate we paid) The rate is the same as the locations downtown Memphis. The carpet is stained and coming up all throughout the hotel. They said they are taking sanitation measures since COVID-19 but none of the hand sanitizer stations worked. They stuck a cleaning sticker on the outside of my door but once I entered the room it smelled of stale air. Majority of the surfaces in the room had sticky fingerprints on them. The toilet was dirty. I had to wipe down the surfaces with the wipes I carry with me. This was our first and last stay here

Honestly the main reason why you should NOT spend your money here is the hotel is not worth what they are charging. I 100% agree with other reviewers that it is BADLY in need of upgrades for what they charge. My husband and I had problem after problem: nasty stained couches, tv didn’t work, broken lamps and finally our room’s door didn’t lock which is a SAFETY HAZARD! You literally could walk in without a card key. It didn’t lock! We didn’t find this out until 9pm the day we checked in and though they tried to change out the room, at that point we just cancelled our reservation and went to the Hampton Inn next door. At first the front desk attendant said they couldn’t refund us but the situation was really simple. From the time we checked in that afternoon until the evening we had problem after problem with the facility. The maintenance staff was great but when you’re spending your money you want to feel good about where you’re spending it. We didn’t. You should NOT be on first-name basis with maintenance staff at the hotel before you even spend your first night there! We hadn’t even laid our heads down! She agreed and gave us a full refund for the 2 nights we booked. Embassy Suites, you’re not selling “rooms”, you’re selling an “experience.” The experience we received was not worth the money we were charged and deserved a refund. Thankfully we got it.

The lobby was beautiful and check in staff were friendly. The breakfast was a ‘continental-ish’ breakfast but plenty of items that could be warmed up in your room.
Our biggest problem was our toilet overflowed, we called for maintenance and they never came. We called again and they finally brought a plunger that my husband used. We used all the towels to sop up water and then when we asked at the front desk, they were out of towels! No one could shower after the toilet mess. It was a discouraging experience and we were glad we only stayed 2 nights and then went to The Peabody downtown where the service was fabulous and no issues.
Also, the pool is closed. It is open at the Peabody. Other hotels have sign ups or ways to limit guests. The closed pool was also a bummer.

The staff turned a tragic experience into a magical one. My wife left her 3 leather bags beside the truck for me to pack. I never saw them and left them in the parking lot. We lost her macbook for work, ipad, and other valuables, easily worth $2000 to us. We arrived back in Texas and the following day realized they were gone. I immediately called the hotel and was surprised to get a real person and shocked that someone had turned in the bags to the front desk. The staff packaged and shipped our bags back via FedEx safely and securely. We are very blessed to have honest people return our items to the hotel staff and for them to expedite the return of our items without hassle - hence the 5 stars.

As for the hotel, staff was great, lobby was beautiful. The location was good, as we were passing through in route to Texas. The rooms were clean, but could tell they were older.

Don't count on breakfast during COVID. Instead, plan on eating outside the hotel, unless you think poptarts and other packaged snacks are considered breakfast.

Mike, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for recognizing our staff in this unique situation. I am glad that you also found the hotel to be clean and that we met all of your needs. We are currently working with Hilton and within local CDC guidelines where breakfast is concerned to bring back a quality breakfast that you are used to seeing in Embassy Suites hotels. Your feedback is appreciated and will be shared with hotel management.

We were in town for a soccer tournament this past weekend. Unfortunately, our team's experience at the Embassy Suites this past weekend was to be frank....disappointing. Upon arrival, one of our parents was immediately informed rudely by the front desk staff at check-in "that our children must be in their rooms by 9:00pm as they know soccer families like to drink in the lobby and let their kids run a muck in the hotel". In addition, one of our parents asked the front desk why the pool was closed. The response given was "you are more than welcome to go and stay at another hotel down the street that has a working pool." One family tried to resolve an issue with their room, and the front desk employees would simply ignore them and answer the phone in mid conversation, essentially saying "I'm done talking with you". Supplies in several rooms were not replenished after the previous guest checked out and were not readily available.

These were just a few incidents where the customer service level of the front desk staff was less than professional. I understand the tournament weekends can be very crazy for hotels given all the teams; however, if a hotel is submitting their name for the stay and play, then they should be prepared to do so.

Lastly, our coach went to purchase ice cream for our players at the front office snack bar. When he was getting ready to pay, the front desk employee (Antonio, I believe), whispered to a co-worker "I am going to break this kid's wallet without him knowing" and then proceeded to tell our coach the total was $100 for the ice cream. Our coach overheard this comment and questioned the charge in addition to asking for a receipt. The front desk employee then recalculated the charge to around $55. This is inexcusable to say the least!

Needless to say, our team will not be staying at the Embassy Suites hotel again. I hope this feedback will provide a valuable lesson in the importance of customer service for the front desk staff.
