My family and I traveled to Memphis to attend Round 1 and 2 of March Madness at the Fed Ex Forum.
We had an amazing stay as our room was large ( which is always a plus when you are staying multiple nights). We interacted with the front desk staff, housekeeping and the hosts in the breakfast area. All the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful
Sharon (breakfast host) was amazing and very accommodating in meeting the needs of the guests in the breakfast area. The selection in the breakfast area was very good.
Since this hotel is located in downtown, it was very convenient and within walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Before games, we would walk to the Peabody hotel for our Team prep rallies and send offs and from there walk to the Fed Ex Forum.

I would not hesitate to stay here again if I am ever in the area.

This was a great Hotel with a fantastic location.

My Parents and I arrived into Memphis early morning on the 12th October 2022 and by the time we got to the hotel it was just after 6am. We we greeted by a lovely guy called Tosher, who checked us in and as our rooms were ready he said we could go to our rooms and take a rest and then come down for breakfast. Tosher was very polite and friendly and gave us all the information we needed. Its a shame we didn't see him for the rest of our stay.

Our room was fantastic, It was very large with 2 double beds and lots of space. The room had a separate dressing area as well and there was also a fridge in the room as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The Bathroom was small but it was nice.

After having a bit of a rest and freshening up, we went for breakfast, The breakfast was basic but still a lot of choice and it was all good as plentily to choose from and you could even take it your room if you wanted. The 2 ladies looking after the breakfast area were both very nice and friendly too.

The reception area also has a water dispenser and tea and coffee making facilities, which was really nice as guests could help themselves anytime.

The location of the hotel is excellent as you are near to the public transport there are bus stops , trolley stops and tram stops opposite the hotel and just behind the hotel near the Subway Sandwich Bar. Beale Street is just about an 10 minute walk, but the buses and trolley buses also go there. Just for $2 dollars for the whole day you can use the trams, trolleys and buses, You can even take the bus to Graceland. (much cheaper than taking the taxi) . I did my research, To go to Graceland, go to the bus stop opposite the hotel, and take the bus to Cleveland, then from Cleveland take the bus number 42 that will go to Graceland. The bus drivers and trolley drivers are so helpful, they will also guide you.

The Hotel is also close to Memphis Bridge and you can see excellent views of this outside the hotel as well.

Over all had a great 2 days staying in Memphis, people there are so friendly and polite and will start talking to which is such a nice gesture.

As mentioned 'The Comfort Inn' Hotel was excellent and would definitely recommend it, to friends and family and would definitely stay there again. All staff are very nice and friendly, but a special thanks to Tosher.

Thanks Comfort Inn Memphis , it was a memorable stay.

Nice hotel, comfy beds & clean room but covid has taken a toll on breakfast & the sexy rooftop pool. Pool only open from 12-7:00pm - who is at the hotel during those hours? No one. Would’ve been so nice to come back in the evening to cool off in the pool after a long, hot day of moving daughter into her mud island apartment, but not gonna happen because pool is closed and door locked. Nothing in the city is open after 8pm and here we sit. Reports do not indicate spread of covid is water related and the hotel pool is now regulated by the Memphis HD - omg I’m sick of this bs. Breakfast is grab n go now, you have to eat in your room & you are limited to 4 of all items, there were 4 of us in our room, so no more juice for you! Not another biscuit for you! This is not the hotel’s fault, but omg I’m so sick of this. The hotel charges you $12 to park in their parking building and you have no other options best I can tell. Don’t be fooled by booking.com’s room rate, add another $38 to that for “destination marketing fee $2”, state tax $12.48, occupancy tax $10.88, parking $12, and ANOTHER state tax on the parking fee $1.17! BS everywhere. Maybe I should’ve gone the Airbnb route for this trip but BEWARE of the hidden fees there too, $150 cleaning fee? Omfg next trip to Memphis, we’ll bring air mattresses & crash in daughter’s comfy sassy mud island apartment with 6 pools, free parking and unlimited breakfast whenever we want it.

Dear tripeeblonde, Thank you for taking the time to fill out our online survey. I have shared your comments with my staff, and they join me in thanking you. It was truly a pleasure having you as our guest. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations. While the hotel is close to downtown, the parking is difficult and can be very expensive. We do offer this service for a minimal fee. With the global pandemic we are dealing with, a few of our amenities are restricted such as the opening of our pool and our hot breakfast. As social distance restrictions are lifted and our city begins to open in phases in accordance with the CDC, our amenities will reflect those changes. You can find these updates and more on the reservations page. We take pride in our hotel and the services we provide. Your feedback is very important to us and we hope you will give us another chance if you are in the area again. Sincerely, Michael Krupp General Manager

The location was great and the room was nice. Breakfast variety was good. Towels and washcloths were in short supply. One day out of four we actually had an adequate supply of both. I asked a member of housekeeping for an extra towel as we were short one and she told me no. Shortage of towels and washcloths was a recurring issue. We arrived at the pool one evening looking forward to a swim and were told they were out of towels for the day, yet the room had a note saying pool towels were available. Secure a towel before you get to the 9th floor pool just in case. Also, pool signs said open until 10, yet they closed at 8. We observed towels and trash bags in the halls outside of rooms and soon discovered this was the only way they got collected..The manager was friendly, polite and brought us towels himself one day. We were told they only had queen size beds on the first floor so streetlights and passers by were always an issue outside our window. Not sure why they don’t offer queen beds on other floors.

Comfort Inn in downtown Memphis is 15 stories (no 13th floor) with a pool on the 9th floor. The front desk worker, Lesley was beyond professional in checking me in, answered my questions and I observed her multi-tasking with professional and pleasant attitude, a definite asset to the property. I had a wonderful room on the 14th floor that faced the Mississippi, making me able to watch beautiful sunsets and watch the light show that goes on on the bridge. I did hear some street noise and a train go by but the view more than made up for a temporary noise.Property is walkable to visitor center, Pyramid, the Peabody and Beale Street plus the riverfront. Parking is $12 for underground parking. Room had a refrigerator, microwave and shower/tub. Breakfast is offered and employees keep things stocked and clean. Would stay here again.

I am very particular about my hotels especially during this pandemic and will typically stay at a more “high end” hotel. This is one of the cleanest hotels I have been to in quite some time. We ended up losing an item and had to tear the room apart. Every inch of that room was clean and I left a tip which I have never done before. Front desk staff were helpful, pleasant, and accommodating. Parking was very easy considering it is a downtown hotel and this hotel has some of the best views. Ask was the river view. Definitely recommend!

Very comfortable room, lots of room and good bed. Great staff at front desk. Loved the room overlooking the river besides great sunsets you can watch barge traffic and light shows at night on the bridges. One negative that caused me to rate down was the wifi which is good if you can get connected which we had to fight several times a day. Then they changed wifi password and did not tell us.

Underground parking makes you feel bit more secure with your vehicle, but you pay for it. Reception was easy, friendly and helpful. We booked room with a river view, nice to see the view and bridge at night. Double beds are tiny so remember that when booking as to your preferences. Beale St is 10 minute walk, however we took Uber home, just to be safe. Rooms were clean, plenty of towels, overall the hotel is dated though. Breakfast in the morning was warm and plentiful. Memphis was expensive for downtown hotels, this offered slightly better rates.

From the minute we checked in, the staff was all about our comfort. They let us store our luggage in the room even though they weren’t quite done with cleaning. The front desk person gave helpful tips about where to eat. She also told us they could easily call a ride for us in the evening. These were the kinds of things hotels always used to do but on this trip such service really stands out! The front desk called soon after we got in our room to see if we needed anything. And when we called to check out, they were sincerely interested in how our stay had been.
Ask for a room on the River side high enough up that you can see the great view - and the amazing light show that the bridge puts on at night! Added extra at no charge!
