I was met in the reception area by Natalie who was most welcoming. She was genuinely interested in my trip and where I had come from (and where I was going to next on my journey), nothing was too much trouble.

Natalie explained the way things worked at Kettle House B&B in detail, so I understood how everything worked.

The room was exceptional! Clean, tidy and extremely well equipped. There was a free standing fan, as well as the central heating radiator. There was a fridge, which already contained bottle of milk (just in case you don't like UHT Milk), best of all there was Toblerone waiting for me when I got into the room. The bathroom/shower room was spotless and well laid out.

Toiletries were provided and there were countless plug sockets and USB charge points throughout the room.

Where necessary, there were carefully placed explanations of how to work, for example, the TV/Free-view combination. There was free WiFi and my hosts had made sure that the access details were placed just where you might need them.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, even if it was only for one night. I would happily book to stay here again and recommend it to family & friends.

Me spent 2 nights here for my partnersB birthday. The property and the gounds are simply stunning. The room we stayed in had everything we needed with an extremely comfy bed, a selection of tea and sweets and even cakes. There was alos a tv with freeview and a full range to choose from. After a full ay of exploring the highlands we were looking forward to coming back to such comforts.

In the morning breakfast was amazing with a great selection. My partner tried the Scottish breakfast and really loved it and I had the salmon and scrambled eggs, again delicious!

However all these great things are made even better with such a supurb host Natalie. She is just lovely! We had to leave early on the last day so we couldn't make breakfast. Natalie packed us a pack up then went way beyond what we would have expected.

Thank you Natalie and we loved your home!

We've been staying here regularly since 2014 thinking each year that our experience can't be improved and each year Natalie and Mark surprise us. This year they bought and erected a gazebo so that we could socialise in a safe, socially distanced manner and even stocked it with beer and snacks!! As usual the rooms were spotlessly clean, the breakfasts beautifully cooked, tasty and plentiful enough to get you through the day. What makes this place so exceptional though is the kindness and thoughtfulness of the hosts. Thank you Natalie and Mark for looking after us, the dog and our bikes. Already booked again for next year!

We have just spent seven nights in this amazing B and B. The hosts Natalie and Mark couldn’t be more welcoming. The room was comfortable and spotless with a mini fridge, dvds, disposable cutlery for your use and cupcakes every day! The comfort tray provided was well stocked and there was a little bottle of milk in the fridge. A couple of mornings due to early starts we were unable to make breakfast and Natalie arranged a take away brekkie for us along with some goodies for our trip. There’s a lovely walk across the golf course and along the Caledonian canal into the village, well worth the trip as plenty of places to eat and drink, a few gift shops and Loch Ness Cruises do pleasure boat and speed boat trips around the Loch from there. If I could give Natalie and Mark a ten I would, this is a hidden gem of a place and they deserve every success! Oh the garden is amazing too! Pure magic

Tucked away, we found the Kettle house nestled in a well looked after country garden. It’s a lovely well presented dog friendly place . Our room was right at the top of the house up a ‘spirally’ type staircase. The room was well presented, clean and cosy. Two little cupcakes and a mini fridge for milk greeted us. WiFi is a bit hit and miss and mobile signal sporadic but hey we need a break from technology at times. This is a B&B only so no food available in the evenings - but there’s plenty of places to eat within a short drive/walk. Beds are really comfortable and we had a great night sleep. We booked our breakfast the night before as requested. I chose scrambled eggs and smoked salmon - my partner chose the Scottish breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and it was the prettiest breakfast table with our own selection of cereals and fruit - perfect . This place is a hidden gem and well worth staying

Spent a few nights here with some friends. The room was excellent with a very comfortable bed and all the usual gadgets plus some you don't usually see (a mini fridge for instance). The breakfast was consistently well cooked regardless of the option chosen. Amazing scrambled eggs :)

However what makes this place stand about is the friendliness of Natalie and Mark and their willingness to make sure your stay is the best it can be. They seem to think of everything and be able to anticipate what you'll need.

And yes, they really are dog friendly. They even provided a night dog-sitting for me so we could go out for a restaurant meal.

Will definitely be going back at some point and hopefully not too far in the future.

This place is the singe best B&B experience I have ever had.

Quirky house with a wonderful garden. Quite near town but blissfully quiet. Our room was smallish but perfectly comfortable, with a large bathroom and mini-fridge for fresh milk for tea and coffee, hurrah. Good breakfast and friendly host. All very clean and felt covid-secure. Slight confusion over payment which owners have not yet followed up on.

Where do i start? This is the second time we've stayed at Kettle house, the first being a few years back. Before you even enter the house you will be taken aback by their most wonderful garden! It is absolutley stunning with fairy gardens, a little bridge, beautiful bird houses and much much more. There is a gazebo with cards and a lantern you can sit in if you wish. Which is exactly what we done after our dinner with a bottle of bubbles :)
Nat and Mark are the most welcoming hosts and nothing is a problem. Even when we left without our key and locked ourselves out they were so helpful which alleviated a bit of the embarrassment (sorry again!) All covid precautions are in place and the most thoughtful touches of cupcakes in your room, a mini fridge and DVDs for you to watch really takes this place above the rest. Breakfast was spectacular with a fantastic choice of menu plus cereals, jams etc. Great veggie options too which was very much appreciated.
Despite seeing changes to Fort Augustus in terms of the tourism and campsite going (being changed into what looks like chalets). Kettle house really is a must stay place. Such a homely, relaxing and wonderful atmosphere. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to visit the area and hope to see Nat, Mark and wee Willow (pooch) again sometime in the near future.

I travel extensively throughout Scotland, and it is a real pleasure when you discover somewhere great to stay and good value. The room ticked all the boxes and was everything you expect. (Well perhaps the step up to the en-suite in my room was not the best but is not really a problem) The view from the dining room is spectacular and I must return in the summer to see the garden at its best. I will definitely return sometime.

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful B & B recently as part of a cycling trip. From the moment I booked my room till the day I arrived, communication was excellent. The welcome I received from Natalie on my arrival was warm and welcoming. Natalie ensured that my bike was safely secured in the garage.
The accommodation itself was topnotch. I was allocated room No 3 which I feel is more suited to a single traveller. It was spotlessly clean with everything that I needed. I had an excellent sleep on a very comfortable bed.
The first class breakfast was further enjoyed with the view from the window watching a red squirrel, 2 deer and beautiful birds.
All in all an excellent experience. I would highly recommend Kettle House B & B and hopefully I will be back in the not too distant future.
