Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is a very clean hotel on the sea front of Largs. A very friendly hotel run by Lynn and David. An excellent fruit starter, Scottish breakfast, toast and coffee/tea. I came on my own as I was a Clydesider at Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, but I will be going there again with my husband in not to distant future.

David and Lynn are wonderful people. They are very friendly and full of warmth. We had made a last night reservation but when we arrived we were shown to a large clean room with a window from where we had stunning views of the sea outside. David and Lynn always have a very sweet smile. They recommended us a very nice hotel where we had dinner. Next day, we had a great spread for breakfast-fruits, cereal, toast and Scottish breakfast. Lynn prepared the hot food with lots of love. We would definitely go back to the hotel.

Not usually one to leave reviews, good or bad, but on this occasion our visit was certainly worthy of taking the time to post one.
I booked Crinly House to visit Largs to mark the passing of our grandparents 10years previous as they have a memorial placed in Largs.
On arriving I was absolutely delighted with the location (directly in the sea front - couldn't be closer!!!) but what made this special was the room we were given looked directly onto our grandparents memorial with excellent panoramic views of the seaside.
The lady who runs the B&B, Lynn, was lovely; very friendly and welcoming and took care of our flowers over night as we had nowhere to keep them.
Our room was immaculate, warm (important in Largs!) and perfectly presented. Our breakfast was cooked at a time to suit us, and again was perfectly presented in a very cosy basement conversion of the house.
Really could not fault this place or the owner - 10 out of 10 - and I would certainly recommend this to others.

We stayed for one night in Largs after picking up our daughter from a 6-month school session in nearby West Kilbride. Crinly House was the ideal location to relax and reconnect. Lynn and David were gracious, welcoming hosts. David even met us at the train station to help with our bags upon our late evening arrival. We booked the family room, which offered a lovely view of the sea and Aran Island. The en-suite room included coffee and tea service. Lynn prepared a fabulous breakfast to order, the "full Scottish" or whatever we wished. Our post-meal conversation with her was one of the more memorable parts of our trip, just a lovely host. To top it all off, Crinly House is barely a five minute walk from the town center. We would happily stay again.

Comfortable B&B right on the front at Largs and close to the town centre. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Very good breakfast. Front facing room with very good view; compact room with a small double and a single bed. Worked fine for a short visit but not spacious for a longer stay, especially if for 3 people.
