Ray and Allison are lovely, friendly hosts who deserve the perfect reviews that they've so far received.
No corners are cut and nothing is scrimped upon in providing for their guests.
From freshly made, complimentary tea and biscuits provided on our arrival, a room that was spotlessly clean, spacious yet cosy and comfortable (we stayed in the Brisbane Glen room which as well as a power shower also has a wonderful stand alone bath), a lovely assortment of complimentary toiletries and a fridge with, again complimentary, confectionary and soft drinks, we wanted for absolutely nothing.
At breakfast, the range of juices, cereals, fruits, yoghurts and jams in themselves are fantastic and that's before you even venture near the menu which offers a range of breakfast from vegetarian to full cooked which were beautiful.
It's only a short walk into town but we were offered a lift into town should we want it.
All of the above doesn't even cover all of the home comforts provided during our stay.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Northend Guest House...100% !

Ray and Allison have raised the Bed a d Breakfast bar to a new level, my brother and I stayed one evening as part of a Scottish motorcycling trip, a quiet location, plenty of parking, a lovely view from our room, our friendly attentive hosts provided a pot of fresh tea and snacks on arrival, our room can only be described as immaculate hard to believe anyone had stayed in it before us.
After a good night's sleep we we treated to a delicious breakfast a word of advice if you order the full Scottish don't plan on eating again anytime soon. The Scottish morning weather was monsoon like but forecast to be dry by early afternoon Ray and Alison kindly let us retain our room until the weather improved which was much appreciated.
Thanks again for your hospitality the value and quality you offer is outstanding.

A beautiful house with lovely views in a quiet location but only a 15 mins walk to the centre of Largs. Our hosts Ray and Allison were wonderful very attentive and extremely welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and the en suite was large with free standing bath and separate shower. Great choice of breakfast items and all very well presented and delicious. We would absolutely highly recommend Northend and hope to return soon.

Thank you again David & Teresa

I was lucky enough to book Northend for the beginning of my vacation. Ray and Allison's attention to detail was phenomenal! The room was amble for me, a shower mat was a welcome addition as shower stalls are usually slippery for me. The extra little features in the bathroom were a welcome addition and the room darkening shades were great too since it was beginning to get light earlier and earlier. The breakfasts, I'm guessing, were very good, but I settled on porridge with fruit and honey, nothing beats a good porridge breakfast. The views of the hills behind their B&B were lovely...seeing sheep graze in the fields, totally relaxing. Very good place to stay and hope to be back the next time I'm in Scotland visiting family.

We have just spent a memorable two nights at Northend B&B. The owners Ray and Allison gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival, with Ray insisting on carrying our heavy bags upstairs to our rooms! Each room was beautifully presented, with every possible requirement met. Apart from the magnificent views from the windows, we were thrilled with the Super King beds and the most comfortable mattresses we have ever slept on. Every necessity was catered for also, from chilled water each day to even an alarm clock at our bedside! The bathrooms were huge, 1 with a roll top bath as well as a self standing shower, not to mention the range of toiletries supplied too! The breakfasts were delicious, with a wide choice of items beautifully cooked to perfection and entirely to our liking. Nothing was any trouble for Ray and Allison. All in all, two sisters thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Northend B&B and will definitely be back again. Don’t miss visiting this 5* gem!

We absolutely loved our 2 week stay at Northend. We've stayed in hundreds of hotels all across the world, and Northend would be one of the best stays we've experienced. And, it would give many 5 and 6 star properties a run for their money!
Ray and Allison are the most wonderful hosts. They were so very friendly and helpful, and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect (even surprising our son with a birthday cake, card and treats on his 6th birthday). Breakfast each morning was such a treat, with an amazing menu filled with locally sourced produce. We tried everything! And, everything was delicious, amazingly presented and superbly prepared. I'm honestly missing Alison's wonderful cooking!!
Our rooms were perfect, very well appointed with incredibly comfortable beds and were consistently immaculately clean. Both rooms had lovely views across to Brisbane Glen, and its location means it's perfectly quiet at night. All the ingredients for a restful nights sleep. We can't wait to stay again!

We’ve just spent 3 nights at Northend guest house, which is one of the best we’ve stayed at. Ray and Alison are a really lovely couple, who couldn’t do enough for us without being intrusive. The best ever breakfasts, with a great choice. Northend is immaculate, super clean with everything you could need for a good nights sleep and relaxing stay. In a quiet cul de sac, with good onsite parking, within an easy 10-15 minutes walk along the promenade to Largs centre with restaurants, shops, ferry to Cumbrae etc. This was our second stay, and will definitely stay again when next in Largs. Thank you Ray and Alison

I cannot recommend this guest house highly enough. Ray and Allison were brilliant hosts who went beyond what was required to make sure our stay was excellent, which it was. We felt truly pampered from the beautiful room, stunning breakfast, caring owners and the ‘snack fridge’!

Another fantastic stay with Ray and Allison, they are the perfect hosts. We were welcomed with a pot of tea and a selection of tasty cakes and biscuits. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the attention to detail is spot on. Our ensuite room was spotless having every thing we needed for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The selection offered at breakfast is amazing, we would heartily recommend the porridge served with fresh fruit of your choice as well as honey and cream - just delicious. They use locally sourced bacon, sausage etc and everything is of the best quality. Northend is without doubt the best guest house in Largs.
