Quarrytown Lodge is ideally situated just outside the town of BALLYMENA. It was built on an elevated site in a peaceful and quiet farming area and close to the picturesque village of BROUGHSHANE. The famous Slemish Mountain (where our patron Saint, Patrick, herded sheep and is claimed to have brought Christianity to Ireland) towers in the background and the villages of GALGORM, CLOUGH, CULLYBACKEY, PORTGLENONE, AHOGHILL & KELLS are close by. It is within easy reach of the Belfast International Airport (30 minutes), the George Best Belfast City Airport (45 minutes) and Belfast and Larne Ferries (30 minutes). The lodge is situated at the Gateway to the Glens of Antrim and in an ideal location to explore the spectacular North Antrim Causeway Coast and Glens ie Carnlough, Cushendall, Ballycastle, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Giants Causeway, Bushmills, Portrush, Portstewart etc. The Glenariff Glen, known as the 'queen' of the beautiful and historic Glens with its scenic forest walks and paths skirting gushing waterfalls, is just a 10 minute drive away. At Quarrytown Lodge, bedrooms are en suite with TV/DVD players, as well as a cinema system in the lounge with an enormous selection of DVDs available for use by our guests. The lounge has an open log fire which can be lit in cold days. There is a separate dining-room and a conservatory with comfortable chairs. The lodge has fridge, microwave, tea and coffee facilities, and lots of safe, spacious spaces in the large private car park. We also have access for disabled guests. There is a gazebo, lighted waterfall, wooden picnic furniture and places to relax throughout the beautiful gardens. BESPOKE WALKING, CYCLING AND GOLF HOLIDAYS CAN BE ARRANGED. Stayed at Quarrytown for 2 nights at the start and end of our holiday. Firstly, the approach to the house is gorgeous; beautifully kept with stunning gardens. We were greeted by Margaret who was so warm and welcoming and immediately offered tea , which came with lovely biscuits - thank you 😊
We stayed in room 1, a twin room en-suite and absolutely loved it. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were so comfortable and cosy. The bathroom was modern and extremely clean with nice towels and toiletries. After a long journey, we slept like logs, especially as it was just so peaceful and relaxing.
Breakfast was to die for; beautifully presented, well cooked and very tasty. Margret, we particularly loved your home baking on our last stay, it was delicious.
I can’t speak highly enough about Quarrytown and Margaret and will definitely book to stay again when in the area. Thank you!

This is a really lovely B&B where you feel more like a family member than a guest. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. Top class breakfast was provided a d cooked fresh to order. We arrived late and the lady who owns the B&B made us a cup of tea which was very nice of her.

Stayed one night last weekend with my partner and daughter as we were at a wedding at the galgorm castle. Having grown up with my parents owning a bed and breakfast this was my first time staying in one since then. I can't criticise a thing. Margaret was a lovely host and I only wish I could have spent more time in her place. She couldn't have done more for us and after chatting the day before when she had mentioned she was planning to bake in the afternoon I said I loved apple tart. After breakfast she brought in her apple tart for me to try. Not what I normally have for breakfast but it was such a nice touch. Genuinely can't wait to come back to see her again!

A good place to stay. A very good breakfast, a good room, nice and quiet. If Margaret was runner up then what sort of B&B could beat her? I can't imagine! Handy for the East coast, handy for the ferry, plenty of facilities in Ballymena; yet in a quiet area. Just what we like.

I was also over for the NI Open Challenge and was lucky enough to pick Quarrytown Lodge as my choice of accommodation. The B&B is only a short drive away from Ballymena and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Margaret was a fab host and cooks a mean breakfast!! My room was spotless and had everything I need access to WIFI TV/ DVD player- great view!

I would highly recommend you stay here.

My wife any myself stayed at the Quarrytownlodge B&B for 3nights, at the end of january while attending a friends wedding in Galgorm Spa Resort.
The Rooms were spotlessly clean, good sized and very comfy bed and pillows with a good sized ensuite with large shower towels and toiletries provided.

The breakfasts were wonderful, freshly cooked and brought to the table at a time that suited us, we particularly enjoyed the Ulster Fry with home baked wheatan bread, homemade marmalade and homemade jams. Fruit and a large selection of cereals were available for us to help ourselves.

The B&Bs location is super, it is located just 5minutes from the small village of Broughshane which has shops and restaurants and pubs, not to mention the beautiful flowers and plants which has won the village many awards, aside from that it is about 10minutes from the city centre of ballymena which we found very handy.

Would reccomend and would definately stay here again.

Getting a bit desperate for accommodation we were told about this B and B. Margaret was very welcoming. Her house is fresh and clean, the breakfast was lovely and the area was charming. A short drive to the town and dinner at The thatch inn. Very pleasant evening, would recommend.

Lovely place and grounds. Well maintained and clean, very comfortable stay and Margaret the owner was lovely and very helpful! I'm vegan and Margaret had a fridge for guests to use so I could bring my own soya milk and margarine. The fridge and tea and coffee facilities were in the conservatory which was very nice to sit in and have a brew! Spacious car park for parking also.

We had a great time. Margaret was wonderful. She made us a cup of tea and coffee with pancakes and cake as soon as we arrived. Room was good and bed was very comfy .
Although most days we only had cereal (but that was our choice) she went out of her way to buy blueberries for my husband because thats what told her he normally has. there was every kind of breakfast items and as much as you eat. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks Margaret x
