Detailed Reviews
Just had a one night stay in the Adair Arms Hotel, the staff are so friendly and will go that extra mile to make your stay a pleasant experience. Rooms are warm and comfortable (heating was not on upon arrival but after turning radiator on it did warm up) with tea/coffee making facilities provided. DUE TO NO FAULT OF THE HOTEL we did not have a pleasant nights sleep because the people in the next room kept making a lot of noise on and of during the night, no consideration for other guests. Do ask for a room near reception as some rooms can be a bit of a walk. The evening meal was first class with a good selection on the menu, breakfast again was also first class. Overall a nice stay and we would go back again.

The Hotel rooms may be a bit basic in some ways but the staff treat you like a friend coming to visit, so friendly but still professional and helpful.
I stayed in a second floor room one night and the hallway light shone under the door as well as allowed any passerby noise and door bangs to filter through.
The second night was on the first floor and I could hear the Saturday night live music below. Maybe a weeknight would be a lot quieter.
The evening meal was excellent and Gavin's customer service was genuine and refreshingly jovial. In fact all the staff seem happy!
I shall pop my sleep-phones on and enjoy the rest of my stay 🙂 Would recommend for the staff, food and atmosphere.

22 adults and 6 children booked into the restaurant today for Sunday lunch. Everyone was seated together and the waitress, whose name was Katie, came to take our order. She was very efficient and very patient. The meal itself came out piping hot, the vegetable were plentiful and loads to eat on the plates and was absolutely delicious. The waitress Katie was always in attendance, was very polite and always had a smile on her face. I would recommend the Adair Arms for Sunday lunch. A very delightful afternoon was had by all.

We have just had a lovey stay in the Adair Arms Hotel to catch up with extended family following the COVID 19 pandemic. My 90 year old mother unfortunately suffered a stroke during the pandemic and is now a wheelchair user, so we booked a room with disabled facilities and en suite wet room. The hotel staff were very helpful and kindly supplied an additional bed in the room. The room was clean, warm and comfortable and the facilities were great, perfect for my mother's needs. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner we had in the hotel was also lovely. The lounge area was great for meeting our relatives for drinks/coffee and the hotel location was perfect with easy parking. Highly recommend this friendly hotel and will definitely return.

The Adair Arms is centrally located in Ballymena centre with all the attractions on your door step. The hotel benefits from its own car park at the rear of the hotel. The lobby of the hotel is very attractive and decorated with plush fixtures and fittings. There are plenty of comfortable seating areas benefitting from bar service. The staff were very attentive and friendly throughout the stay. The prices in the bar are reasonable and there is live music on Saturdays. The common areas of the hotel can not be faulted and was a beautiful place to spend the evening enjoying the atmosphere.
The check-in was very friendly and efficient and the double room was on the second floor in the original part of the hotel. The hotel dates back to the 1840s and maintains that character from the façade of the hotel and the exposed beams in the room which was is the roof. The room was a good size and comfortable. It had the necessary amenities such as tea/coffee, TV, hair dryer, ironing etc. However it is now looking its age as are the furnishings which unfortunately let down the appeal of the room. Instead of being a pleasurable oasis for time out from the city it encouraged time spent out of the room. The bathroom was also much outdated and out of style from the rest of the hotel.
The breakfast in the hotel was catered for in the restaurant. This was buffet style with a nice selection of continental offerings along with cooked items. Everything was good quality and tasted well. The staff again were very welcoming and friendly.
The WiFi needs to be joined with email and is weak with 5mbs.
Overall this is a very nice hotel for a meal, drink or afternoon tea. The communal areas are very plush and comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are dated and fine to just sleep in but would benefit from being brought up to standard with the rest of the hotel.

On our way to Ballymena for a spot of shopping we decided we couldn’t shop on an empty stomach. I had not been in the Adair for years but it was the first place I thought of in the town and near the shops so we parked in the very convenient car park at the back of the hotel and off we went not really knowing what to expect.
What a very pleasant surprise! Greeted at reception by a friendly receptionist who took our details for track and trace and sat at a lovely large table with plenty of room and a very comfortable space.
Presented with a lunch menu and the grill menu, we were spoiled for choice and all very reasonably priced. I opted for the honey chilli chicken from the lunch menu and my other half, the homemade beef burger with pepper sauce. The food was superb. Served swiftly and hot by friendly staff. Plenty of attentive staff on hand to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
Really happy we have rediscovered this gem. If you are in Ballymena, definitely call in!

We were extremely pleased with the Manager and staff in all areas of this property. Mgr seen doing a multitude of tasks and appeared to be on the property constantly. Warm, welcoming and accommodating. Consequently staff were always with a smile, happy to be of service. If the owner(s) put some more effort into bathroom amenities, wkend cleaners ( clean towels left outside the door for pickup). , this would be a four star Hotel. Seemed like few cleaners on the wkend. Great location. Good food. Would recommend.

In this afternoon (23rd) with family for my sisters birthday. The service was slow and below expectations, firstly the bar staff set the drinks in front of my 9 month old son when there was full room on the table.
The food was well below expectations, the portions were small (salmon about the size of fish finger) and 2 of the 6 meals were cold and had to be sent back to be reheated. The cocktail sausages were like bullets. The vegetables which came with the food had been cremated in the microwave and dry as anything, there was also no where near enough for 7 adult roast dinners.
No one checked if the food was OK during the meal.
Then ordered tea, and again the pot of boiling tea was set in front of my 9 month old son. When the desserts came they'd obviously sitting under the hot plate for some time qs there was a thick skin formed on the custard.
Might I had that there was a table of 5 and a table of 4, so I would definitely not say that they were busy given the fact we waited almost an hour for 7 roast dinners.
Honestly after today, none of the 7 of us will be back. Very very disappointed.

We booked in for Afternoon Tea for a relatives birthday. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist were she showed us where to go. Firstly we were gave soup (delicious) with tea/coffee then we had sandwiches, wheaten bread with Smoked salmon & scones all which were so fresh and tasty, this was followed by a selection of mini desserts these could have done with a little more flavour. Our waitress was a young girl with blonde hair she was very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed.
We will return in the future.

Hot room, noisy extractor fan outside window could not open. Mustard coloured carpets, very old, tired, need good clean. Pillows had like a rubber smell, towels didn't smell too good. Breakfast very average. I have nothing positive to offer on this hotel, cannot recommend anything about it.

The car park is literally at the side of the hotel
I was actually in the Adair Arms Hotel tonight for drinks with friends... it has a really nice atmosphere. The Adair Arms Hotel is in Ballymena which is about 40 drive from Belfast's Titanic Centre.
A really good and handy location to Belfast and the amazing North Antrim Atlantic coast and picturesque Glens of Antrim. Highly recommended hotel with a lovely restaurant and warm and friendly staff to welcome you.
