The sites are level and not to crowded together. The staff was super nice. The bath house is really clean with individual rooms with shower, sink and toliets. It is off the highway enough that you don't get any highway noise. The pool is well kept as well as the grounds.

We travel frequently and know what to expect with a KOA experience. Everything was perfect . Staff were helpful and polite and check-in problem free. Restrooms/showers were clean. A rare campground where the WiFi worked at all times. Shaded and graded campsites. Lovely pool. We would stay here again.

First time staying at this KOA and it was not what I expected. My husband got a lecture from one of the “kinda owners” who was very arrogant for picking up (wet) wood off the ground to burn. We had already bought 5-6 bundles (10 thin pieces/$7.50). Playground was very unsafe with all the dirt and hills from washed out dirt. No sand, no mulch, DIRT!

Overall this campground is fine and clean. Good location and nice site. Due to dog policy I did not give 5 stars. Note that dogs must be on leashes not allowed in pens. This is the first time we have come across this rule. Our dogs are always outside with us in an exercise pen. We found it difficult to sit outside to play games, cook and eat while holding our dogs on leashes. As a result our dogs spent a lot more time inside than usual. Unfortunately we will not return here because of this rule.

I didn’t think anything could beat our favorite KOA in Wisconsin, but this place wins hands down. Our site was huge, clean, and had STUNNING views. You can literally walk into the Smokey’s from this campsite. The dog park was excellent, everything was spotless, and the staff doesn’t get any friendlier. When we were on site, our kids LOVED the park and basketball court. We had a cardinal visit us everyday outside our window. It was just such an awesome experience. We are now spoiled comparing all other KOA’s to this location. I almost forgot to mention, my husband was dreading backing in our 42 foot 5th wheel. A gentleman came out and guided my husband into the spot in 2 minutes. It was unbelievable how easy this gentleman made it for us. I wish I could…

This was our 2nd time to stay at the Gatlinburg East KOA Smoky Mountain Premier RV resort. The sites are pretty spacious, bathrooms are always clean and the staff is very friendly. The dog park is also a nice option if you have your furry friends. Gives them a chance to run around off leash. Takes about 20 minutes to get into town, so not bad and the campground is really quite since it is not right in town. We really enjoy the location and setup.

We paid $100 per day $400 total for 4 nights and we were told that the place have internet which was very important for one member of my family (he needs it for work ) but the place doesn’t have good data even though its connected. We wanted a discount or refund due to this issue, but they did not offer a solution or even to care for their guests at all.

We stayed at this campground for the week of Thanksgiving in 2019 and 2020. This campground is beautifully maintained, extremely helpful and friendly staff and is in the perfect location if you're interested in visiting Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountain National Park. The campground is set in a pretty woodsy environment and borders the national park. At first glance you would think that larger trailers wouldn't fit in the spots, but the cozyness of the spots are an wonderful illusion. Mine and my friends 42' fifth wheel's fit just fine. We love this place and will make this our regular stop when going to the smokies.

First of all, I would not have given 5 stars if I didn't feel like this was a wonderful piece of heaven on earth. We booked Labor Day weekend (plus a couple of days on either side) at the last minute, and EVERY SINGLE PLACE we called was sold out. We have a new travel trailer and we do not yet know the ropes, which places are good and which to avoid, etc. We were going down google's list when we found the Gatlinburg KOA which had one cancellation and we grabbed it. We knew NOTHING about this place and on our drive to TN from KY we decided even if this place was not that good we would make the best of it and we felt grateful to get a spot. Well, upon pulling in we knew immediately that this place was top notch. Everything was immaculate, everybody who worked her was…

My at-risk boyfriend and I are taking a COVID-safe RV trip to visit family and last night we stayed at this campsite. We were greeted by a man who refused to wear a mask when my boyfriend politely asked him to. Upon entering the store to sign the required paperwork, the staff made fun of my boyfriend’s mask and said, verbatim, “We’re all Republicans here. We think it’s a hoax.” We were, of course, shocked, and kept to ourselves. We will be reporting them to KOA for willful endangerment, negligence and intimidation. There were 0 social distancing measures in place. As for the campground itself, it was a small hill with unleveled sites and RVs about 6 feet from each other. We have stayed in 27 states round-trip from California to Vermont and back, and this was the worst campground…
