The hotel was clean, although the outside was a little messy, the staff was very welcoming and friendly and worked hard to take good care of their clients. The free breakfast was fresh and well stocked!!

While the campus setting is an older Residence Inn style the room itself was pretty clean even if showing signs of being a bit worn. The bedrooms are on the small side and the bathrooms are downright cramped but we were only in town for two nights and the room worked for what we needed.

Beds were comfortable enough and we slept just fine. The location was good (20 minutes or so from most of our Nashville destinations) and was easy to get in and out of.

The staff was pleasant throughout our stay and the breakfast was pretty good for the traditional free spread. I feel like it’s a good enough place to stay for the price and would stay there again if we stay in the Brentwood area rather than Nashville.

Stayed for 2 nights, in general the stay is pretty good. Hotel rooms are in apartment style, some buildings are a little bit away from the lobby, but it’s totally not far at all. The room itself is spacious and clean, and they have prepare a lot of kitchenware in room in case you to cook. Location is about 30 min from Nashville downtown during peak hours, acceptable to me.

However, the water pressure on shower is very very weak. The water is not weak when it’s running in a tap, but after you changed it to shower mode, it became really weak.

Also, we requested more towels on the first night we arrived, and the hotel staff called and asked us to go to the lobby and pick it up. Our building is not attached to the lobby, even it’s not far away, just about 3 min walk, as a nice hotel, I still don’t think this is very professional to ask your guest to walk outside in cold weather (20 degree).

But after all, we did enjoy our stay, and probably will stay here again, hopefully next time the water pressure on shower would have improved.

We checked in just after 10pm on Christmas Eve and the lady at the desk was very nice and got my key cards and showed me where the room was on the property map. We started moving our things into the room and there were spider webs in all the corner and behind the couch. We slept ok that night. We got up the next morning and we nt to the lobby for the grab and breakfast and they were out of almost everything except boxed cereals and there was no milk. Back in the room we opened Christmas presents. We got a call from the front desk letting us know there had been a gas leak and it was fixed but the boiler wasn't working and we'd need to change rooms. I got the key cards and moved to the new room. The new room was a bit nicer. We ate dinner that evening in the room and started cleaning up the dishes and the garbage disposal quick working causing the sink o back up and water backed up through the dishwasher and flooded the kitchen floor and got to the carpet. I called the desk and was told that she and the laundry person were the only ones there and she would try to get the laundry guy to bring a mop or some towels. About 10-15 minutes later I'd heard nothing so I called again and she said we could get a different room. We moved to the new room and all was good until Saturday night. There was zero hot water. My parents called the front desk and apparently the boiler in that building was not working either. We were offered a key card to another room to use the shower. We just packed up and left ahead of check out time. It seems like they've let the housekeeping and maintenance slip very badly at this property.

The hotel adjusted my bill significantly because of the issues and I thank them for it, but it was still frustrating to have a family Christmas trip end up like this.

Both of the ladies working day and night shift at the desk were great and the man working the desk on Sunday morning was also nice and understanding.

We’ve stayed here so many times, we’ve lost count (but at least half a dozen on our twice a year cross-country road trips). It is perhaps the most perfect hotel experience in the country. The staff is just outstanding, forever catering to your every want (staffers like lovely Nalini). While the virus has reduced breakfast, it’s still plentiful: yogurts, bananas, individual milk cartons, fruit cups, bagels, water bottles and an array of packaged bakery items and breakfast bars. Coffee in the lobby, too. The pool just closed for the season but it will cap your dream vacation. Business center operational and stocked (you can even print 2-sided in case you have upcoming hotel reservations to print). Fitness room has free weights and a scale. Laundry room is spotless ($3.00 wash/$2.50 dry – and, yes believe it or not you can use a credit card!). Screened windows open for a breeze. There are countless directions in which you can launch for a morning walk surrounded by nature. This is the kind of place you want to come to and never leave. Good show (once again), GM Daniel!

This was our 3rd stay over the years at this perfectly peaceful Residence Inn, surrounded by the best of Brentwood’s rolling greens and blooming plant life. There’s even a long walking track right behind the hotel that goes on and on for the best walk of your life (even if you hate walking). Of course the breakfast was altered because of the virus – but there were still little milk cartons, plastic-covered cups of pineapple, bagels, breads, yogurts, bottled water and coffee in the lobby even before the 7 a.m. start of breakfast. The pool looked so good, a trip back when it’s open again is mandatory (ditto the fitness room with free weights and a scale). The Laundry Room is spotless and get this, you can pay with a credit card as well as quarters. Windows in the rooms are screened and open for a view and a breeze. Thanks so much (again) to GM Daniel, Jim for keeping the breakfast room so clean and also young Katie at the Front Desk who greets you with a smile that will stay with you all day long.

Check in and check out went well. The hotel is hidden behind office buildings off of the main road. The campus is lovely. The room was clean and comfortable. I will agree with others that the rooms are not well insulated. I was on the ground floor and could hear the footsteps and even conversations from the room above me. People walking up and down the stairs and dragging bags made a lot of noise, especially at 2am. Breakfast was boiled eggs, cheese, 3 types of cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, different types of sausage depending on the day, waffle maker, different types of breads, juice, coffee, and milk. The staff was always welcoming and pleasant. The room was well equipped for my week long stay.

Chose this hotel since it was very close to the Gaylord ICE exhibit and the Opry Mills Mall. This is generally a nice hotel, but there were several issues that made not up to par to what I'm accustomed to. I noticed that other reviews were not the best, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt since this is a relatively new Marriott property.
I'm a Gold Elite Rewards member, and I did not receive the typical Thank You and acknowledgement for being a member, nor did I receive the welcome gift upon arrival. The front desk staff was average. The toilet roll holder in the restroom was not secure, and hung sideways from the wall. There was no tissue in the kleenex container on the sink. Furtheremore, there were crumbs in the microwave. It was apparent that the housekeeping staff did not thoroughly service the room. Water pressure in the shower was very low.
Breakfast staff needs training! Ran out of full size plates, and they were not restocked so everyone had to use the small plates. They were very slow to restock the food. When I returned to get food for my daughter at 9:45, they had already removed most of the food and the utensils. Breakfast was not suppose to end until 10 am. This is generally a nice hotel, but could be MUCH better if these training items were addressed. A "canned" response without any real action will not fix the issues.

Dear T L, Thank you so much for providing your feedback regarding your recent stay. After reviewing your feedback it sounds like your stay may have been at the Residence Inn Nashville at Opryland, not the Residence Inn Nashville Brentwood. Your review states that you stayed at a relatively new property that is very close to Gaylord Opryland. Our Brentwood location has been in service since 1991 and we are 19.5 miles away from Gaylord Opryland. I am so sorry that your Gold Elite status wasn’t recognized, we truly appreciate our Elite Bonvoy Members and I thank you for your loyalty. Thank you again for your feedback and I hope we have the opportunity to serve you the next time your travels bring you to the Nashville are. Best regards, Daniel Brown, General Manager

This place was called Residence Inn by Mariott when I last visited it in Nov 2020 , I am not sure when the name changed. May be Mariott pulled out of alliance for the reason of customer experience which I found lacking as well.

The facility and rooms were really nice. However i thought that there was a lack of customer excellence in terms of service especially at the front desk. I checked out a bit late due to a physiotherapy appointment and had informed the front desk and agreed to pay even for half a day extra, however I was charged for a full extra day although i checked out in the evening( instead of noon). Rooms were empty, i see no point in not accomodating a late checkout request in such a scenario , the front desk behavior was also not very accommodating or empathetic. I thought they judge people and also called my room and told my spouse that they would charge full day if we checked out later than 4 pm. We never said we wont pay and money was not the issue here, the attitude was that of contempt which is disgusting when it comes across in a subtle way.

I am happy to tip the staff the amount of their 1 day hotel charge for their hard work.

Hope they respect customers and not objectify them based on other parameters (don’t want to get into it)- in fact it is a pity that they cannot fathom the might of their customers due to prejudice which eventually hurts their own reputation. Great hotel but not that great of an operations manager I am afraid, it is a pity that they mistreat people based on preconceived notions and prejudice. Be nice and respectful to all your customers, some of us are way beyond your intellect :)

We stayed here on a road trip. Were disappointed upon checking in, because our room was really worn and felt heavily used in the distant past. The towels had a slightly stale smell. However, the unit appeared to be clean, so we stayed. We liked the property. It is an old style Residence Inn with a nice pool, basketball court, etc. It was quiet and well-lit, backing up to a greenway walking trail. Breakfast was awesome, given pandemic restrictions. It was grab & go but had fresh fruit, hot options, cereal, bagels, yogurt, etc. I was really impressed with the effort they made to provide a full & expansive breakfast experience. Overall, we were satisfied with our short stay. We’ll probably return.

Answer from Rebecca R

Hi RHEpic, Happily-- we primarily use Publix stores, but another available option is Kroger if that is your preference. All rooms come with a grocery shopping card which you may fill out and return to the front desk in the morning. It is helpful for us to be as descriptive with your request as possible. We will then pick up and drop off your groceries to your room and bill your room only for the amount spent at the store-- there are no additional fees on top of that as our grocery service is a complimentary amenity provided by the hotel. Hope that helps! Please call us directly with any other questions you may have. Rebecca Raich, Assistant General Manager Residence Inn Nashville Brentwood
