Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Moody smell in room, dust everywhere. Breakfast is very limited. Horrible stay. Staff was accommodating with extra towels. Safety latch on door was broken and replaced when asked. I do not think I have had a worse stay at at quality inn before.

My girlfriend and I were moving out of an apartment to a house, but the house was not yet ready. We decided to stay the time period between at the Quality Inn since it was close to my work. The first two days were wonderful. We had a friendly staff and the amenities we everything that we expected. However the 3rd night was memorable for an entirely different reason. After a very long 9 hour shift and being exhausted from 2 days worth of moving I arrived at the new hotel room, we changed rooms cause the new place was suppose to be ready but wasn't so we had to check back in, to find that it was stiflingly hot. My girlfriend informed me the air unit was not working well. I thought maybe it's an easily fixed issue or operator error. I'll look at it after I use the bathroom and shower. That is when I discovered that the toilet did not work. Feeling frustrated I reached for the room
Phone to call the front desk. It rang forever and ever but no answer. I, somewhat irritated at this point, walked down to the office and rang the service bell and was greeted by a very nice young lady named Kira. She quickly tried to work on the issues I presented to her but the system they use to monitor available rooms would not cooperate. Asking for her to call the room when she discovered a solution I went and tried to relax in the mini sauna until the time came to move, again! Almost 3 hours and several frustrating phone calls later we were moved to a room across the hall. I asked for the the managers name and said I'd come talk to her in the morning when she arrived. I set the alarm clock which now read 5:04 am for 7:00am. I was woken by the loud knocking of house keeping at ten after 11. I went, frustrated about the failed alarm clock, to speak with the manger about the issues. I was, in almost, the nicest way she could told there wasn't anything she could do. Experience was ok thus far and would recommend it to someone if they needed somewhere to stay desperately. The staff kept the experience from being a horrible one.

Very poorly maintained and room was filthy. It was obvious that the management was cutting cost in every way. The on button was taped on rather than repaired. The carpet and bathroom nasty. The front desk clerk was nice and helpful.

We got off to a bad start. First, the clerk refused to make a reservation by phone. When we arrived, he quoted a price at $30 above the price on the Choice Hotels website. He claimed that he was giving us an upgrade to a "BIG" room. It was a dinky so-called handicapped accessible room. The bed looked clean but the room and bathroom were dirty and in need of maintenance.
We had planned a four night stay but left in the morning.
I would not recommend this place to an enemy.

I arrived after 4:00 p.m. and had to wait for the front desk staff to go to check to see if my room had been cleaned yet and it wasn't. As I was checking into the hotel, my friends were checking out of the room they had just rented saying it was dirty. I should have left with them. I received a Double Queen instead of a Single King because my room wasn't ready. When I entered, I immediately checked for cleanliness. One bedspread had a hole in it and the carpet was stained, the bathroom and towels appeared clean. The freezer was covered with nearly two inches of ice but appeared to be clean. It wasn't until got back from dinner that I found most of the problems. I used the sheets and pillows from two beds to make one clean bed. I should have left when I found the remote control for the TV under the sheets of one bed. That's a good indication that the sheets had not been changed. Two of the pillows on one bed had obvious dirt on them. After seeing all of this, I sat on a towel on the side of the bed to wash my body but I wasn’t about to get into the tub! I only stayed because of my illness and the four hour drive made it impossible to go to another town to find another hotel at that late hour. I’ve never experienced not being allowed to check-in until after 4:00 p.m. or I would have been in town earlier in the day. This would have allowed me time to find another hotel. I was woken up in the middle of the night to the sound of furniture breaking but then it got quite so I went back to sleep. I was awakened a second time to the sound of a woman screaming bloody murder. I called the front desk to report this and the attendant kept asking me which room the noise was coming from! I told her that I wasn’t about to leave my room to find out and then she told me that she would check it out! This is when I got up and wedged furniture against my door. After not getting any sleep after that, then next morning, I asked if I could have a late check-out time and that I would even pay for half a day if I were allowed to sleep for two hours but I was told by the front desk staff that I couldn’t do that! Basically, I paid for a dirty room where I didn’t feel safe and I wasn’t able to sleep or bathe! The online pictures of the hotel looked great but my heart sank when I arrived in my room. If my husband would have been with me to drive, I would have NOT stayed that night!
I will NEVER stay here again! I will drive the additional 25 miles to another town the next time I go to Greer! The only good things about this hotel were, it's location to my venue and the excellent internet access! The staff couldn't even provide me with basic local information. Even the Continental Breakfast was below standard. Luckily I found The Copper River which is an excellent place to eat but I had to drive/hunt for over an hour to locate The Red Dutch Barn, five miles from the hotel! The Wi-Fi service was excellent but Never Again!

Rooms are absolutely filthy, Had a reservation for one night and after seeing feces on the toiler, sink that would not drain, and bed with only a fitted sheet and duvet - we left. Could not get a refund- they refused. They said the maid was fired that morning as if this was an excuse for the filth! Health department should be contacted!!

I would give this hotel a minus review if I could!!! I must say this is probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Our room was a non-smoking room but reeked of stale smoke. The carpet was dirty and torn/frayed in many spots. The bathroom door was broken, the pillows were horrible, refrigerator didn't work, toilet ran off and on all night long. The battery in the smoke alarm started chirping in the middle of the night. Called front desk and they didn't have an extra battery and no maintence person on duty. Was told to remove smoke alarm from wall! The alarm is hard wired!!! Stay away from this hotel at all costs! I would NEVER stay at this hotel again, even if offered a room for no cost!

Our room was one of the 2 inside rooms, a suite with king bed and full size sleeper sofa. Room appeared clean, however upon closer inspection found what appeared to be dog hair on the bed. The bathroom floor was covered with hair and some nail clippings. We didn't complain or go to the front desk because we arrived late and weren't allowed to go through the lobby to get to our room, and left early the next day. For one night, it was ok, I wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to my friends and family. If you're just passing through and don't have any other options, it's fine.
