Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came into town for a concert and stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites which is a short distance from the event venue. The stay was good, clean room and friendly staff. We will be coming back to Greenville for another concern in the next few months and plan to stay at the Microtel Inn & Suites.

Don't know why I never stayed with them before, but I will now. I think maybe the name threw me off thinking they were just small rooms like New York city hotels. But our room was spacious and our King bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is conveniently located about half a mile from I-85. Woodruff Rd is extremely busy but the building is set back from the road so noise is minimal. (My room faced the road.) There are several restaurants within walking distance, a Costco directly across Woodruff Rd., and a Whole Foods and Panera less than five minutes away. It takes about 20 minutes to reach downtown Greenville, and most of that is due to the extremely heavy traffic in the area. My room was very small but clean and very comfortable, with a firm bed and numerous pillows. The heater/AC was excellent and reasonably quiet. Breakfast options were somewhat limited but not bad. Shampoo and a bathmat were missing when I checked in so I had to go down to the desk for those. My only comment (not really a complaint) is that the room (one queen bed) was very small and I suspect two people would find it crowded. The bed took up the majority of floor space.

Older hotel. We had no toiletries in our bathroom upon arrival. Also the phone didn't work. The front desk clerk got us toiletries, but the phone was never fixed. The breakfast options were very limited with the only hot food being waffles

It was the most dreadful experience I've ever had in my life. The front office staff was terrible. When I arrived at the hotel around 8:30 pm, I was given a room for my family. Room number 113 was my assigned space, but upon entering, I was met with a foul odor and food stains on the floor. The restroom was also quite unpleasant. We promptly called the manager, who appeared to be an Indian gentleman, although we didn't know his name. He inspected the room, offered his apologies, and moved us to another room, number 131, which was much more pleasant. We inquired about the possibility of staying in room 131 for an additional night but requested some time to decide. The manager agreed and informed us that there was no need for any additional paperwork since he already had our card details and ID, and our payment would remain the same. This conversation took place at the reception desk. However, later, my wife and I met the same manager at the front office to confirm our extension, and he assured us there was no issue. Around 11 am the following day, someone knocked on our door and insisted that we vacate the room immediately. We explained that we had booked the room for two nights, but the person at the door, named Kathy, claimed there was no record of our booking. She texted the night shift person but he denied any knowledge of our two-night reservation. Kathy then became increasingly aggressive, threatening to call the sheriff. This was an embarrassing and distressing moment, especially since we had our two small children with us. I insisted that she call the sheriff so I could take appropriate action against the hotel. Eventually, she apologized and offered us another room, which we accepted. We were moved to room 229 on the second floor. Later that afternoon, I ran into the same manager in the elevator and asked him if he had confirmed our two-night stay. He responded aggressively, "What is your problem? You have the room now! What more do you want?" It felt as though I was being treated as if I were begging for a room. I chose not to engage in an argument in front of my family and decided to ignore the manager's attitude. After some time, my wife had to retrieve some items from the car, and as she was returning to the room, the same manager approached her. He apologized, saying that he had heard about Kathy's misbehavior, and it had been an extremely difficult night for me.

First off the Wyndham representative took my reservation over the and I stated I was checking in at 3:00am coming from a concert. So he books my room I get there and the front desk said I couldn't check in till 2:00pm that day. So I then call back to get this reservation modified. They gave me a wnd floor room First thing I do at every hotel I'd check the bedding. Oh my there's hair on the sheets and stains. I go request another room and state to front desk I hope this room is clean and he assured me it was. This room was as nasty as the first room. Stains black beds or maybe mice feces but that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Pictures are laoding!!!

The room was nice, decent, but the bathrooms were not clean nor were they up to code. The older man on night service for front desk was incredibly rude and yelled at my coworker several times during our visit. They had ordered food and the man yelled at them about making sure to put your number on the order and belittled them for not doing so
