Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a staycation for MLK holiday and it didn’t disappoint. It’s our 3 stay here and the property is super clean and well maintained. As Hilton honors members we always look for Tru properties . Great stay! Lots of restaurants and shops within minutes on Woodruff Road. About 15 minutes from downtown Greenville. Will definitely come back.

Hotel's Favourite
The hotel is new, clean and bright and colorful. They had a great pancake machine the kids loved. The pool was small but it’s indoors and the kids had a blast. The staff was very pleasant and eager to help. Rooms are small but we were only staying one night and they are very well laid out. The pool table and bright colors and fun furniture was a nice change. We would definitely stay again. The staff were invited to breakfast at the end of the meal time and they seemed quite happy about that. I thought it was a lovely incentive.

I checked out a day early since our business was complete. I paid with a company car and got a printed receipt for multiple rooms. They charged for the complete stay. I have called 9 times and a manager will NOT call me back. Very unprofessional!

Pros Hotel seems new or at least freshly remodeled. Staff is super friendly and accommodating Lobby set up like a commons area (think college dorm) with tvs and pool table for families to enjoy. Cons Beds are not comfortable Toilet was dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned…gross Small awning on front of building and no awning at rear. Checked in during a terrible downpour and getting soaked is unavoidable. No way to unload luggage without doing so in the rain. I would’ve given at least 3 stars but unclean toilet is unacceptable.

Room Tip: Don’t stay here during inclement weather unless you want to get soaked unloading your car.

All the major items were OK (bed was comfortable, hallway was quiet), but the little things became annoying. The digital key is a good idea, but it's harder for me to open the phone, open the app, select the key option, etc. than to use simple card I can swipe. Also, the digital key refused to work on the outside doors. When I parked in the back, I had to walk to the front to get in. The digital key worked in the Fitness Room, but I was annoyed that it did not operate as a physical key would. For a fairly new hotel, there were minor issues. The shelf in the bathroom was coming out of the wall. The shelf was slanted towards me. Not very helpful. Room refrigerator was noisy. The chair in the room and the seating in the lobby are uncomfortable. They may be stylish, but I could not sit in them for any length of time. The staff is friendly and helpful, The common areas and room were very clean. I suppose my review is colored by the phrase "by Hilton" after the tru name. It was an ok hotel, but definitely not a Hilton.

My first time staying at a Tru brand hotel. Rooms were very small. Thin walls with little insulation to keep you from hearing all the activity in the adjoining rooms. Very minimalist. We had kids and animals in nearby rooms and could hear everything all night. The two queen beds were crammed in there. Breakfast was great and well kept. Staff at the hotel was helpful when we asked for it. I would only recommend for a one or two night stay. Find a suite at another hotel if you're planning on being there longer.

Just spent the night here on a business trip to Greenville. Hotel was very clean, comfortable beds and great breakfast options. Location is good to drive about anywhere in Gville, plenty of free hotel parking. I would definitely stay if in the area again.

Stayed at this property for a one night stay and it definitely exceeded my expectations, brand new property with lots of restaurants and shops around the area. Breakfast was great only one minor issue, housekeeping knocked on my door before 9am and I could hear them in the hallways. Overall stay was 5 stars.

Found this hotel through a travel coupon hotel discount book. We stayed 2 nights, one on our way south and then on our return trip. It was easy to get to from I-85. Everything was modern and clean. The room wasn't spacious and the "desk" looked like it came from IKEA, but it was nice. No carpet, which is okay. The bathroom was stocked with tubes attached to the wall with shampoo and conditioner. The bed was comfortable with big pillows (4) and the TV was big and high-definition. That was a nice surprise. We just watched the end of a Superman movie, and you could definitely tell the difference. The best thing was the hot breakfast. Bagels, bread, Danish, eggs, grits, sausage, juice, milk, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes *although it was out of mix on the way (they filled it eventually) and it was not working on the way back. They also have a pool table in the seating/dining area. Lots of seating. Coffee and tea is available 24/7 and they have an assortment of snacks to purchase. No fridge or microwave in the room. The curtains were thick and "rolled down" using a chain. They let no light in, so that was good. They have an indoor pool as well. No overhang to drive under and unload. It is sort of an odd entrance from what we are used to. All rooms are accessible from inside, no outdoor entries to rooms. It was a new experience for us, comfortable, but "cold" in a modern sense. Not homey, but okay at the same time. Staff was nice, but not warm & friendly.

The hotel staff was so wonderful. Very helpful, very friendly but also very professional. The location is very close to shopping and dining and off the interstate. My only issue was that the rooms were small. Definitely for the business traveler with no closet, and only a bed and desk with a chair to sit. Overall my experience was very good.
