Detailed Reviews
What a find! The place is beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the hosts charming and accommodating. We showed up on short notice and we were treated like royalty. The hosts even made us dinner despite the restaurant being closed for the evening.
A pleasant, welcome surprise in the middle of the state. I highly recommend this place.

We were delighted to spend a night at Lady Amelia where we had a wonderful dinner and stayed in a beautifully appointed guest room. Breakfast was also delicious! Overall an excellent experience. Duncan & Jane Munro

We were invited to visit this Bed 7 Breakfast by a friend whose family owns and operates this wonderful place. Located about an hour from Greenville, SC, Cross Hill is a small town quite out of the way. We travelled here from Myrtle Beach, SC and it was about a 4 hour drive through the country. Manon and Marc Andre along with Stefan make you feel like family from the moment you arrive. The house has been meticulously restored and features 4 guest rooms, each with a different theme. Many of the furnishings are original to the house. There is a restaurant behind the house which not only serves the breakfasts that are included with your room, but also serve lunch and dinner. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. The owners are also the chefs!
There is a gift shop adjoining the restaurant filled with antiques and other gift items. Although our stay was less than 24 hours, we had a wonderful stay, great food and terrific service. We would highly recommend visiting Lady Amelia Bed and Breakfast Inn!

Atmosphere and setting was comfortably French! Stephen's service was impeccable! The escargot and French onion soup were delectable! The breads were outstanding!! All reasonably priced. The salmon was a little dry and the crab cake special was good but both would have been a bit more appealing with a nice, French sauce. The gift shop was delightful. We will return!

The host of this beautiful B&B and french style restaurant, that is because the are French Canadian, is a delightful experience for any one who needs a get away or just passing through this quaint area, The food is AWESOME and reasonable priced. The rooms are finished with class but yet a relaxing atmosphere.

Spent 2 nights at the Lady Amelia B&B in mid-July. The property is spotless! Very clean, neat, well decorated and appointed. We stayed in the Miss Violet room which has an adjacent bathroom that is shared but since there was only one other couple at the B&B (who used the other shared bathroom) we had this bathroom to ourselves. The bed was comfy and the room was relatively large and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome (Eggs Benedict on our 2'nd morning was great!). The inn keepers were very friendly and accommodating - being mid-July in South Carolina it was hot outside. The B&B has central air and a supplemental A/C on the 2nd floor and the owners provided us with a small fan to keep the air moving in our room. Dinner at their adjacent restaurant was fantastic! I highly recommend the B&B for anyone who wants a quick getaway or to explore Lake Greenwood and the surrounding area.

I visited the restaurant for dinner with family. The food was excellent, the only complaint from the table was that the rare prime rib was not as rare as they would have liked. Service was great, my water glass was never empty. The restaurant is set behind the B&B and looks like a barn from the outside, but it is very clean inside and decorated with antiques. I will definitely return.

We stopped at the inn for lunch based on a friend's recommendation. We are so glad we did, it was excellent. The food and service was great and all we wanted to do was stay over for a night or two to enjoy the beautiful accommodations. We will definitely return.

We visited the restaurant, not the B & B. The restaurant is excellent. Quaint interior with a lot of antique decor. Food is French and very good. We had the Brie appetizer, coquille St Jaques and the filet mignon special. It was all excellent!!! Then we had apple pie with caramel sauce for dessert. YUM! The owner, Mannon is very nice and visits everyone's table. We will definitely be back!
