Detailed Reviews
The hotel is located across from a Walmart which is convenient. Good distance to Philadelphia attractions, shopping, sesame place etc. The room is clean and spacious. We love the Dove toiletries that came in pump bottles they have in the bathroom. The bed and pillows are comfortable.
The card placed next to the bed in the room indicated that the hotel offer daily room refresh which includes making up the bed, replenishing amenities, replacing towels and cleaning the garbage.
These are the issues during our 4nights stay.
1. Housekeeping did not come to the room at all on our first day. They came the second day but only replaced the towels. Went to the front desk and was told the daily room refresh is not automatic. Oh well, maybe they need to state “upon request” on the card in the room?
2. The fridge was so cold it froze all our beverages.
3. Swimming pool is not heated and the water was too hazy. You basically can’t see anything under the water. The pool was out of service on our 3rd day. Hot tub was not very hot and too foamy.
4. Breakfast was decent with a few hot food, pancake machine, bread, cereals and yogurt. Breakfast place wasn’t open on our last morning and front desk wasn’t aware of what’s going on with the staff working at the breakfast area.

Hotel's Favourite
This is my first of what will probably be many stays here as I am in this area several times a year on business. The hotel is clean, and the staff I have encountered thus far have been friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms are quite spacious, especially for one person.

This is in an excellent location for us because we have a relative in Ann's Choice, a senior living place that less than a mile away, close enough that we sometimes take the 15-minute walk instead of driving from the hotel.
The rooms are clean and they're big, the beds are comfortable, and the included breakfast is a full meal if you want it. Eggs, sausages, pancakes, etc.
Our only complaint is that the front desk staff, which a few years ago used to be the same, nice gentleman whenever we'd arrive on a Sunday night, seems to be more variable and some of the people aren't great. We often get the very detailed description of where breakfast is located and we've stayed at this place dozens of times. The latest wrinkle is that we often find a sign, "I've stepped away for a few minutes" at the front desk and we are left standing there for 10 minutes until someone shows up again.
On the other hand, the price is right and I suppose you get what you pay for.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in early October 2020. While the room and the facilities were clean, we realized to our dismay that the rooms are getting serviced only once every three days. Nobody told us about this upfront, there was nothing on the website and no announcement in the lobby. When I asked the receptionist, his answer was - "There is a pandemic going on." I understand that but would not you want, out of courtesy, to let your guests know IN ADVANCE that they need to be prepared and, for instance, bring their own trash bags? Another issue was breakfast. There is no breakfast. Again, no announcement about that. When we asked the receptionist upon check-in where the breakfast is, she showed to the back of the lobby, and we assumed it will be there. Next morning we were in for a surprise. I don't get it - I understand there is pandemic going on but the stores are open, the restaurants are open, life goes on. How much does it take to organize for some fresh croissants, fruits, and yogurts? You even have a coffeeshop across the street from you. Can't you get some basic food from them, so that your guests do not have to drink coffee in the morning on empty stomach? Otherwise, how can you charge $100 a night for a room if you do not provide these services?

I have stayed at this location a couple of times before l, as I have family that I visit in the area, and it has always been adequate. I stayed for a week this time and by the end of the 7th night I couldn't wait to leave. When I checked in I was told housekeeping only came once a week (on Mondays) but that I could call if I needed fresh towels. (Later in the week I was told that information was incorrect. 🤷♀️) The entire time I was there Housekeeping never came period. I did put trash / recycles in the hall once or twice and that was picked up. I complained several times to the front desk that there was standing water in my bath tub/shower that was not draining. It was rather disgusting and left a nasty dirt ring. Each time I brought this issue up to the front desk they told me they would write it down and let housekeeping know. In the entire week that I was there, no one ever came to address that issue. Also when I tried to use the hair dryer it crackled and Sparks came out and I could smell electrical burning so I unplugged it. I also told the front desk about this several times. I was told housekeeping would bring me another hair dryer. That never happened even though I asked a few additional times. Each time I tried to address issues with the front desk I got the "I'll write it down and let someone know" and it never got rectified. I was traveling alone and I'm very clean but each day the room had a funky smell that grew worse daily so by the 7th day it was just gross. I am not sure what the odor was from but my guess was the standing water in the tub. 🤷♀️ Also the mini fridg must have been set to freezer as the bottled water and soda I put in there all froze solid. I am a rewards member, my week stay was over 1,100.00 dollars and I am more than disappointed in the housekeeping and front desks lack of concern over the issues I was having.

So my fiance and I walk in and received no greeting. Met Jeff at the front desk who asked if we were checking in. Reservation was under her name and he asked for payment. We were confused as her employer paid for the room already. She contacted them and they said they would call in to verify. He said he wouldn't accept payment over the phone and then said with attitude that we clearly had never stayed at a hotel before. We gave him no option so he reluctantly answered. Her employer verified payment. After squaring that away, my fiance mention leaving a review due to his unprofessional attitude. He wasnt worried about that and was smart with us and asked if we needed "Jeff" spelled for us. She asked his last name to which he replied, and I quote "to get that you'll have to go to district and then I'll sue you for harrassment" I have never encountered such lack of hospitality or professionalism when checking into a hotel. We wanted to speak with the manager, but "Jeff" said he wasnt here. Will call on Monday.

When we walked in we were not greeted, but sneered at by a grumpy old man named Jeff. I explained that I was checking in and that the room had been paid for by my employer and gave that info along with my name. Jeff tells me that the room hasn't been paid for and that he needs another form of payment. Confused I contact my employer who confirms that the payment was made, so I asked if they could call the front desk to square everything away. While this is going on Jeff is arguing with me saying that he won't answer the person's call because "he doesnt know who it is" and that they won't take payment over the phone, and something about how clearly I've never stayed at a hotel before because I don't know how it works? Extremely rude and unprofessional. Finally I said "JUST PICK UP THE PHONE!" to which he finally did, but not after first telling me that he was about to kick me out. After getting everything settled I told him how unprofessional and rude he was and that I would be leaving this review. I asked what his last name was and This is literally what he said, "I won't tell you that. You have to get that from the district court and then I will sue you for harassment" This guy was a total nightmare to deal with and should be fired.
There was also no manager present... Or at least that's what we were told.

My family and I stayed here 2 nights in March. Make sure you do not allow them to put you in room 223, it’s placement over the open lobby below allows you to hear every checkin or conversation happening below- we could not sleep. We also had an issue that there was no hot water, so no showers. We moved rooms and had no issues the second night.
The reason I am writing a review, as I have never felt the need to do so, is that they refused to take any % off of our first night. They only were willing to give us 750 reward points (it takes 18,000 points to stay one night for reference). I just felt like it wasn’t sufficient for our inconvenience, poor customer service and communication.

The Good: Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is quiet. Bathroom has lots of counter space and a nightlight switch which I always appreciate for safety reasons. Nice variety of breakfast food and that area was very clean.
Not So Good: There was black mildew in many places on the shower/tub grout. Water drainage is poor in both the sink and shower. I was standing in 4 inches of water during my shower because of slow drainage. Breakfast food in chafing dishes was barely warm.
We are fans of Holiday Inn Express and usually everything is perfect so we were surprised to encounter the things listed in Not So Good.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four night in August 2023 while we attended a family funeral in the area. The hotel staff were welcoming and we were checked in quickly without issue. The hotel room was spacious and clean and the bed was really comfortable. We were a little disappointed by breakfast as all the food seemed to be so processed and pre-made, and all of the eating utensils, cups and plates were all single use plastic and polystyrene. So much for a greener planet! We didn't really get to try any of the amenities due to the nature of our visit but the hotel was quite busy while we were there so I can only assume that the other guests were enjoying them. The hotel is located in a nice quiet and seemingly safe area, but having a car is definitely recommended. The room was reasonably priced for our stay and I think we got what we paid for. I would stay there again if I ever return to the area.
