Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A delightful bed & breakfast. Ken was a wonderful host. He provided excellent knowledge of the area and a scrumptious breakfast prior to our departure. We highly recommend.

We stayed at Oak Hall from May 26-May 29, 2023 for a wedding that I was conducting in the area. Ken and Marcie were more than accommodating to my family, making sure that we were fed well for breakfast (including my two children with allergies to tomato and eggs!). We had a connected suite for two of my children, and we had another room with a full bathroom for my other two kids at the end of one of the wings of the house.

This is a wonderful place to just relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of life. If you are looking for a central place to experience upstate Pennsylvania, this should be the place that you aim for!

Oak Hall Bed and Breakfast is our only place to stay when we come up for the star parties (astronomy events) at local Cherry Springs State Park. Oak Hall was once a school, and part of the curriculum was aviation! The airstrip is not currently in use, but the history is fascinating. Ken and Marcie are incredible hosts, and the breakfasts are absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is incredibly quiet and comfortable. We were visiting when few other guests were there, and Marcie even turned the lights off for us so we could try our telescope right at the B&B!!! So we had our own private star party a day after the Black Forest Star Party ended. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...

Room Tip: Any room is great. We somehow always seem to get The Safari Room and love it!

We recently visited this bed and breakfast when we biked through Pine Creek Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. It was built in 1905, and the former school is filled with period furniture. The room was very comfortable and the host couple were very friendly. Our breakfasts were excellent, with several courses served at a large dining table so that we could visit with the other guests. We would definitely return here!
