Our stay was absolutely fantastic. We spent 5 nights in the ledgmere suites. The room was beautiful, very clean and nicely decorated. We renewed our vows on March 6th in our room. Sarah and her floral crew had everything decorated beautifully and special attention was given to every detail. They took care of all the arrangements including limo service, an officiate, photographer and videographer. Kurt, the operations manager, was outstanding and went far and above any expectations anyone could have asked for or expected. Jess from the front desk was not only a delight to deal with but also went above and beyond anything we could have asked for. The food from the restaurant was top notch. No bargain basement meals here. Top quality meals from start to finish including top quality service. We not only would highly recommend The Stroudsmoor Inn, it has now become our home away from home.

My first time visiting and it won’t be my last. I made a huge mistake that most places would of said that’s on you sorry can’t help you but NOT HERE. Long story short I double booked , I called the inn and spoke to Michelle, I admitted to the mistake and she said don’t worry we can fix this . We arrived and received the nicest welcome. We decided to have dinner at the inn. The service that Natalie provided was excellent and so was the meal. I’m so thankful that late check out was provided and I was able to run away from home and enjoy Valentines weekend with my hubby. Thank you for a fantastic mini getaway.

We loved our stay at SCI! The property is gorgeous and staff was very friendly. We stayed in a cabin, which was quaint. We would love to go back once the covid restrictions are lifted, as there was no indoor dining. The decorations for Christmas were lovely!

Speaking with regard to the process to get information and to book a tour for a wedding - this was very easy. However, we couldn't have felt less welcomed or impressed after we got there for our first meeting. Do they have lovely venues? Sure, and I’d encourage you to take a look if you’re seeking lovely scenery and rustic venues set in the mountains. But with 6 venues on-site, it's obvious that you're just another number to them - plain and simple. It's possible for them to have upwards of a dozen weddings or more in a weekend (we were told each venue could have at most 1 wedding a day) and as such, it’s a busy place. With that considered, maybe they don’t want or need new business, given the chilly reception we received when we called ahead, then not so much as a “hello” when we walked in the door for our scheduled appointment. Everything is on-site in terms of "extras" like floral and decorations that may be needed, so if you have your heart set on any vendors - this is probably not the place for you. If you don’t have your heart set on vendors, the convenience definitely sounds like a bonus, until when asking basic questions to find out more information, the coordinator just tells you to talk to someone else on the staff that is in that department. Other venues that we looked at with adjoining hotels offered something along the lines of a basic hotel room for the couple on their wedding night. That was not offered and in fact, want to look at one of the guest rooms while you're there so you can get a sense of what guest accommodations would be like? Call and talk to so-and-so about it because the coordinator can't show you it, it's not part of the scheduled tour. Even the most basic of questions were poorly answered because, well, that's another department. What would the process be like after actually signing on the dotted line, we wondered - do they even communicate well between departments, if some of the most basic questions are poorly answered during a venue tour that should impress a prospective client, and the answer is just "talk to [this other person]"? Our experience reached a point bordering on tacky and ridiculous after several comments were made during our venue tour along the lines of "there's a rental fee for that…” to the point of sounding like a broken record. A comment was also made that during a prior event, liquor that was *not* included in that couple's wedding package was left on display and when a guest asked for it, they were told no. CRINGE!! I can’t imagine how embarrassing that must have been for both the couple getting married and their guests. Our tour experience did did nothing to give us any good feelings or confidence about what we’d be signing up for to have our special day here with SCI, let alone the treatment that we would get as just another wedding happening that day.
