Detailed Reviews
We stayed at this hotel numerous times for years while our children attended Villanova and it was the hotel I preferred. However, we are actually now house hunting in the area and chose SHS Plymouth Meeting to base out of from February 8-10. It was disappointing to say the least. First, the hotel is now charging $5 a night fort parking even for top level Bonvoy members. Yes, my husband's employer will cover it, but that's not the point. This is a suburban hotel where you park your own car. There is plenty of parking and if the hotel is experiencing a problem with non-guests using the lot, deal with them as opposed to charging guests.
It was a busy weekend for families with young children who were enjoying the pool. There was water everywhere, the elevator was a slippery mess and there was only one elevator in service. Operations did put a rug in the elevator by Sunday afternoon.
The room is a very nice size and has a microwave, small fridge, kitchen style sink and yucky coffee maker. There isn't really an eating area in the room although there is plenty of room in the lobby area. The bed was comfortable, but those small square pillows, just four of them on a king size bed, are terrible. The heating/cooling system is noisy, but effective. There are plenty of electrical outlets, but bring your wall chargers because there are no USB outlets. The room is well lit. I love that the shower has the large dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The same could be done for hand soap and body lotion and would be a huge cost savings. Our shower faucet was literally coming off the wall because the knob to switch from tub to shower was nearly impossible to move. I did report it to operations on the day we left. It is time to pull out tubs and install shower units with hand held shower heads.
Breakfast is included, but I didn't make it to breakfast either day we were there. Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and Whole Foods are within walking distance so no one will starve. The fitness center has been renovated, but the TV's on the ellipticals don't work and the only TV on the wall does not face the cardio equipment. Free weights, yoga mats and fitness balls as well as treadmills, a recumbent bike, 2 ellipticals and an adjustable weight bench fit nicely in the room. There are antiseptic wipes, towels and a water cooler. The wipe dispenser was empty on Sunday, but had been refilled by Monday.
The staff is always gracious and accommodating. The building itself and the rooms feel tired and outdated. I really don't want the type of breakfast that is offered so there is no value in that for me. We are headed back up in couple of weeks for more house hunting and we will stay elsewhere. The hotel needs to better meet the needs of the Monday through Friday business traveler as well as the weekend travelers who are a far more diverse group.

There are so many options in the area this is not the best. They are using COVID as an excuse for poor service.
I chose the hotel over other options in the same price range because it has a pool and breakfast.
The pool was open the evening we arrived but is now temporarily closed.
I have learned to call and ask how the hotel is handling breakfast. Lukewarm coffee with prepackaged mini muffins and cookies. Is not a real breakfast. They could have given me a piece of fruit but these bags were obviously prepared days in advance of my arrival. Can you say Sugarhigh?
The rooms need help, the carpet was stained, and the mattress needed replacing. The sofa !! I will attach a picture. You could only sit in the middle.
Poor selection in the shop.
Grumpy front desk.
Off my list for good.

Dear SDDots, Thank you for your feedback! We can understand how the several items on your list would make for a very disappointing stay. We apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations. We recognize that our pool was closed due to a maintenance issue. We apologize that a muffin and a Belvita biscuit pkg did not satisfy your morning. As a teachable moment, we have turned these concerns along with your thoughts on the sofa and mattress to the appropriate departments. We are anticipating a renovation, which will help create a more enjoyable experience for our guests. We wish you safe travels! Warm regards, SpringHill Team

I stayed here because I just needed something for 2 nights close to my business meeting. Booked a 1 King suite. Check in was fine and the room was was clean, well appointed and pretty spacious. Especially the desk area which I used a lot. The kitchenette area was helpful with the sink to prep any food or drinks. They had a few extra amenities to help with that.
The bedroom area was ok, not huge, but enough space for two people to get around. The bed was a little hard, but not horrible. We had plenty of pillows and the linens were clean.
Bathroom was clean and spacious enough with lots of counter space, soft towels and hot water. Water pressure was good in the shower.
The living room area was well kept with a simple coffee table and couch. It was nice to have that extra area since the bedroom was on the smaller side.
Wifi worked well enough and everything else was in good working order. You could tell the furniture was slightly older, but not broken down by any means. There are a few things walking distance, but not much. however, there's a TON of stuff within a 5-10 minute drive. Went out for a run, the neighboring suburban areas felt safe and mostly residential. The hotel overall was pretty quiet and felt more "corporate" as in they probably get mostly business travelers.
The pool area was clean and kept up for the most part. Not many people there, so it made for a quiet experience.
Check out was smooth.

We arrived and found stains on the couch. I flipped the cushion over and the stain was worse!!! The front desk was willing to switch rooms but I decided to just place a covering over the chair instead of moving. Later that night, I went to place something in the fridge and found OLD FOOD!!!! It’s apparent the room was not thoroughly cleaned. I am horrified that any of Marriott hotels would be this negligent. The Marriott website also mentions that they offer covid sanitary packets but this did not occur. The front desk was courteous but that is all that I can say about this hotel. Will now be leery of Marriott hotels because they are now overrated.

We stayed here after visiting Legoland Discovery. The front desk staff were nice, however we were very disappointed to learn that the pool was by reservation only and all the reservations were booked for our entire stay. The kids were looking forward to the pool, it was the main reason we chose this hotel. They did offer to refund our money and we could find another hotel, but with no hotel with a pool within 28 miles it wasn't worth it to us. Honestly, if I could of turned around and gone home that day I would of. The room was okay. It smelled of cigarette smoke and was a little worn. Beds were okay. Our neighbors weren't particularly noisy but when they came home and were awake from 2-4 a.m. so were we! So the walls were not exactly sound proof. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Close to turnpike and interstate, but that also made it very noisy at night. Overall I would find another place to stay if I was in the area again.

Stayed here two years ago and had a very different experience.
This time, however..... sofa has a "hole" in it and tilts to the middle, soft bed has "potholes" and you can't get comfortable, bathroom is abysmal, shower is c** p, breakfast is cold and skimpy, lighting (like all Marriott properties) is very dim, room is smaller than one we had last time -- this is no more a "suite" than my car is: it's a room with a crummy sofa and a microwave. Just stayed in a two-star property that was nicer.
And quiet it is not.
I guess Marriott will put their name on anything just to make a buck.

This place is absolutely terrible and have never seen a place this disgusting for $200. Me and my wife walked into stains all over the room, floor with sections of the carpet cut out and candlewax everywhere. Also stains on the towels and sheets which was disgusting. Not to mention the smoke detectors were removed from the room. I told the front desk of my concerns and I was dismissed like it wasnt even an issue. I have stayed in 60 to 70 dollar motels around the country sledding and this was the worst. DO NOT STAY HERE

We stayed here for several days to visit family. Positives...front desk and employees were nice and it is close to the mall and restaurants (although closed at the time). Of course we visited during Covid so there was no breakfast and the pool was closed. We were surprised to find out we would also not be receiving housekeeping the whole time we were there. We had to ask for new towels and take out our trash. The bed was comfortable but the sofa needs to be replaced! Also, we were charged $5 a night to park in their parking lot. We were one of maybe 8 total cars. Again I understand during the time we visited services were limited but I still expected a little more.

Dear 875ashleyd, Thank you for your feedback! We are glad you enjoyed our front desk staff along with our other employees as well as our location. We can understand how not having our usual amenities due to COVID19 is disappointing! We apologize that your stay did not meet your expectations in that regard. We were understanding that at the time of booking, guests were notified of our new parking fee instituted in January. We are sorry for any inconvenience. I was worried about how this stay would go after reading the reviews. The hotel is indeed a bit worn, and the sofa had some stains on it. However, after several days on the road, it was perfectly acceptable and clean enough. The lobby staff were friendly, the room was very spacious if one is working remotely- with a separate area away from sleeping area to work, etc. Breakfast was lacking, but overall, I'd stay again if needed.

This hotel is very dirty and in disrepair. We were booked for 3 nights and only stayed 1. The carpet is worn and very stained. The couch was filthy and sagging. The linens were dirty, we were told by housekeeping she knew they were dirty but they were out of clean linens when she was cleaning the room so she used them. The mirror and soap dish had not been cleaned, so I'm sure the other surfaces were not also. And this is during a time of enhanced cleaning. Marriott should be ashamed of having this hotel in their portfolio. We moved to the Homewood Suites 2 miles away, it was clean. I'd highly booking there instead,

Contact the hotel directly. You do need a mask in all public areas in Marriott properties.
Yes, I don't recall a Security deposit; you can cancel your reservation 48 hours, I think, before date of arrival, and I think there was a pro-rated fee if you reserved several days. Considering how hard-line a lot of third-party website reservations are, this is really reasonable.
Would just call them.
I am sorry we do not accept pets.
