Hotel's Favourite
I reserved a room at Hampton Inn in Plymouth Meeting for my kids and grandkids visiting from California. I had not used this hotel before, even though it’s only 2.3 miles from my home, but I’m glad I did. The price in Hilton Points was modest. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is warm and welcoming. My grandkids loved the pool. The adjacent restaurant (Ruby Tuesday’s) has good food and good service. I will definitely use it again to put up visitors.

This particular location is right of route 476 and also the Pennsylvania Turnpike along with Route 76. Being right across from a plaza with a supermarket and restaurants gives this particular location a good boost. Our room was a one bedroom suite with no complaints except from a small leak from the ceiling that was addressed. We were treated nice by the staff as well.

We are loyal Hampton Inn guests. We arrived on Friday and did late check-out Sunday. Check-in was smooth and quick. Request for room on Chemical Road fulfilled. Slept well and beds were surprisingly comfortable. Got a shower and that's when things went south. Handle to the shower was tight, had to turn it all the over to cold for hot water. Bigger problem, we couldn't turn the water off. Called the front desk and until maintenance was called in and arrived to our room, the shower ran for well over 30 minutes. Front desk was attentive and maintenance gentleman was super nice. Obviously, we had to move rooms which was a pain when we had to be some place at a certain time not to mention it was just a pain to have to collect everything we just settled into less than 12 hours before this happened. Until this visit, we have had good experiences with Hampton Inn stays but needless to say, this visit left something to be desired. Rooms were clean. As far as visiting during covid pandemic, signs are posted regarding mask compliance and everyone was wearing one. Understandably, no hot breakfast but we did miss this as it is part of the draw of staying at a Hampton Inn, the best waffles (again, in light of the current situation this was expected and a grab and go breakfast was given each day). Pool was nice although we were too busy to use it. Gym was adequate but one treadmill was out of service. Overall, not the worst stay but certainly could have been better.

I understand changes are necessary during these health concerns. I also understand there are lower revenues for the industry. In light of these, there is no reason to take shortcuts in what is offered to the guests providing them these revenues.
I stayed here the day before and day after having surgery. As I was discharged, we called and asked for a wheelchair to get me from our car to my room. Apparently in a property this large and with many rooms for disabled that they one have one wheelchair and it is being used. Used and if so for how long?
In my opinion, the very limited breakfast items, sparse number of real dairy creamer and poor fruit choice (one) are examples of how the hotel is cutting expenses at my expense.
If one is really truly concerned about health, the hand sanitizers be kept full. Our 5th floor dispenser has been empty since yesterday.

This is a nice hotel with a decent breakfast. I took off one star though, because it should have had better room design features for storage. Our room with a king bed had only 3 small wire shelves for storage. In addition, there were 2 shelves attached to the headboard that served as night stands. This hotel chain didn't consider though adding a drawer to each one for privacy - where a guest could put items, like medication, jewelry, etc. There were 3 longer hooks on one wall with a curtain in front that served as a closet. Four hooks would have been better. Then in the bathroom, there were NO TOWEL RACKS!!! They had 2 hooks on the wall & a semi circle hook by the bathroom sink. They also had 2 shelves. If you & a 2nd person wanted to hang towels (especially used, wet towels), toiletry bags, robes, etc., there really wasn't enough space in the bathroom. They also placed the toilet paper holder under the bathroom sink. If you're a splasher, the toilet paper will get wet! If you're staying here for a bit, you may find yourself living out of a suitcase... On the positive side, the price of the room was quite reasonable.

Pool smaller than expected and filled with unruly 12-year olds, teams competing and unsupervised.
Breakfast horrid, industrial generic, indifferent to taste, folded yellow plastic slabs around melded pseudo cheddar posing as a premade omlet. Couldn't be bothered to cube fresh fruit in a big bowl as in many other such places. Yogurt and everything else too sweet. Management/owners obvioiusly have never eaten there.
A solo Black man ahead of us checking in was charged $70 more than the current online rate for that day which we (white) were paying (I immediately checked online). Single (white) staff person dealing with line of customers waiting to check in was unkempt, nice but not professional looking and taking too long to check people in.

Although I have stayed at many Hampton Inns over the years for both business and leisure , I was actually pleasantly surprised by this one. Front desk staff at both check-in and check-out were friendly and had great customer service skills. The lobby was newer looking, warm and inviting and coffee and tea are always available for guests. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and we had a quiet, restful nights sleep. Breakfast the next morning was one of the best I have had. In addition to all the usual options, they also had 3 different smoothie options and really tasty cranberry orange mini scones. The coffee was also very good and finally, a hotel with flavored creamers as an option. The location is perfect, right off 1-476 and the PA turnpike. Great stay overall.

A=Adequate….clean, simple convenient. The rooms have that early 21st century feel in both decor and design, however it was very clean and had a number of USB ports on the bedside and desk. Typical hotel breakfast a plus and ample (free) parking. Had it been updated I would give it a 4.5 rating. Would not be afraid to stay here again, if the need arises.

We were shocked to see such disregard for basic pandemic safety measures here. The management made little to attempt to enforce the indoor mask policy, aside from posting signs which went largely ignored by guests and many of the staff (including a front desk employee).
Social distancing was entirely ignored, with dozens at the pool during the day and large groups partying in the parking lot. There were groups of children playing and people socializing casually in the hallway outside our room, none of whom are wearing masks.
The fire alarm went off on Saturday night for a half hour at 3 am until the fire dept. arrived.
The cleaning staff seemed a bit overwhelmed by the amount of garbage that was left behind by the partygoers throughout the common areas and outside.
We were originally booked from the 30th the 7th as two combined reservations, but canceled the second portion of our stay as we couldn’t get out of here fast enough. This hotel seems to be quite good during normal times, but the number of reviews we’ve found complaining of the same issues in recent months suggests that it isn’t being taken seriously at all.

I spent a significant amount on a king size room for two nights. The breakfast was marginal and very importantly to me they don’t make up the rooms or provide fresh linens each day. Unbelievable. If this is how they run their business they should advise you of the absent service.

No convenience stores but there is a Starbucks in Target and a supermarket in that shopping center at the other end from Target.
Yes. They are the usual under the table/counter type.
