I don't know how this hotel got 5 stars. Whom ever did those reviews live permanently in this hotel. First thing when i first checked in there was a crackhead asking for a quarter, some other guy soliciting another woman who was cursing out the guy who does check ins. I got my room got off the elevator and there was a lady sitting in the hall on the floor with her child taking their shoes off. there was no towels and wash clothes in the bathroom, no shower curtain. I was trying to go to sleep, and it sounded as if someone was fighting and i thought the Pittsburg police department would show up any minute. I mean cursing, fighting, the whole nine. I was literally afraid to go get the wash clothes and towels from the front desk. and I definitely would not drink that coffee. some guy was sitting on the counter where they serve it at, makes me think he put something in it. I tried to order food and door dash does not and will not deliver here. Bottom line is this THIS IS A CRACKHEAD SPOT TRUST ME. I could not believe my job booked me here but trust and believe me NEVER AGAIN. And I'm a real customer booked here i give them less than 1 star.

Too much to list. Smells bad. A/C doesn't work. Wi-Fi doesn't work. Dirty Sheets. No towels. No coffee ANYWHERE in the building. Marijuana smoke smell on entire 2nd floor. Filthy. I didn't bother to shower because it was disgusting. Red Roof doesn't care. We basically got an email from the hotel itself saying sorry we ripped you off. Thanks for letting us know. Corporate Red Roof hasn't responded to our complaints. Save your money & sleep in your car. Seriously.

9/16/22 - This hotel is trash. They gave no bed covers. The sheets had literal red stains on them. Had to ask for towels and got terrible service. The strip club next store is a great compliment to the extremely dirty room. I actually paid for a 2nd hotel just to not stay here.

Wi-Fi didn’t work. Bedding in shreds. No coffee in lobby. No shampoo. Not a single towel in bathroom. Another guest also looking for towels since he had none, but only staff was outside cleaning his car.

The stay started out decent enough. Then, at night, we went to ask for towels, as our rooms did not have any. When we went to the front desk, there was a sign that stated “Out for 30 min - sorry for the inconvenience.” It left a phone # to call if anything was needed. We called the #, and the employee on the phone seemed confused and uninterested in helping us at all. Then he hung up. We walked around to ask for help, and finally a worker was walking around (I believe the worker that was on the phone). When we asked him for help, he didn’t even say anything, he just opened a closet up and handed us towels. The next morning I saw him, and asked to talk to him. He just stared at me, and slowly made his way over… clearly not wanting to talk to me. I told him I was disappointed with the situation, as we weren’t treated well. He said he was “sorry”, and that was all. To follow all of this, the heat in our room barely worked. I knew it wouldn’t be the best hotel, as it isn’t a pricey one, but they really need to work on their staff and how they interact with customers. The service was horrific.

This was a horrible experience for my wife and I. First we enter the room, no towels, not glasses, no soap. I call down to let them know, they said we would have to go to them if we wanted any of those things (apparently they don't care that the room wasn't proper to begin with. Of course that would have to pry the employee away from his phone. We then went to other places, came back and after more inspections there are red stains all over the carpet in multiple locations. In the bathroom there are white marks all over the walls, the blow dryer is MELTED! Last but certainly not least there was NO SMOKE DETECTOR, they literally took it out, if that's safe I don't know what is. Staff didn't care obviously, no offer of a room change and the morning person when I told him (different guy) acted like all the stuff I mentioned was normal.....crazy

I visited Pittsburgh with my girlfriend because neither of us had ever been - this hotel appeared to be a great deal at $76 a night. Check in as easy enough, but our first room quickly developed some problems: Room 312 was missing the towel rack, the actual entire rack, plus all the towels were missing. The sheets were torn and had cigarette burns and holes in them. When we asked the front desk for new towels and sheets the single guy working at the desk was able to give us towels, but they had literally no other sheets available. None at all. Whatever. We go back to our room and find that someone had also stolen the fire detector, which we had not previously noticed. At this point we decide to get a new room. Room 222 was similarly disfigured, upon initial inspection it only had one towel (we stupidly forget to bring the other towels with us), the sheets were equally torn and shredded as the previous ones, but fortunately did not have cigarette burns. Further, while this room DID have a smoke detector, someone had stolen the ventilation fan from the bathroom, and the toilet paper holder. The curtains were also torn. When we came back to the hotel after a day out in Pittsburgh (wonderful) we found several police cars surrounding our hotel and men handcuffed out front. Though this didn’t impede us getting to our room, it is reflective of the entire experience. You get what you pay for at this price, management clearly does not care about providing a good experience and are much more interested in maximizing profit. Missing smoke detectors mean that no one even inspects the rooms after guests leave, or if they do they do not care. There was no maid service, the front desk was tended by a college student, and there were apparent violations of state or federal hospitality regulations. Spend more money and go elsewhere.

This was my third stay at this hotel, and my last. I booked two rooms for the August 13th weekend. It was a horrible experience. We had a King Room on the fourth floor and a King Handicapped Accessible room. Both rooms smelled overwhelmingly musty and the carpet was damp. The ceiling in the Handicapped Room had wet spots and was damp. The rooms had no towels, no cups and one room had no hand soap. I had to go down twice for towels because they didn't have towels when we checked in, and only enough for 1 room an hour later. The shower in the Handicap room drained slowly. The shower in the handicapped room had handrails, but although the room was set up for wheelchair, the shower required you to step in. The worst part was the odor and I was told nothing could about the smell. The front desk person on Friday was overwhelmed. She was checking in guests, answering the phones and doing the laundry. When we arrived back after dinner, several motorcycles blocked the handicapped ramp, which made it inaccessible for someone in a wheelchair or using a walker. She did get someone driving a UHAUL to vacate the handicap parking place, but couldn't find who had the motorcycles. She said she couldn't do anything without her manager's approval and since he was away for two weeks, we were out of luck unless the person could be found. Fortunately, one guest went up and called out on the floors that if they didn't move their motorcycles, they would be removed. The motorcyclists returned downstairs to move the motorcycles (luckily before a family with a disabled child tried to get in). I understand no room cleaning and no breakfast during your stay because of COVID, but overall service was horrible and the smell made us sick. We will not return.

So mad I stayed. When I walked into the room it had an odor. It was 95 that day and they had the AC off. It being ten o’clock I just wanted to get to bed. I woke up a couple times wishing I had asked for a different room. When I got up the next morning. I had one towel. No wash cloths, no hand towels, no floor mat. ONE TOWEL. I had seen a guest arguing with the attendant and walking away with an armful of linen. Now I know why. Next, the fan cover is hanging down from the ceiling, the shower head is broke and sprays water in all directions and the shower curtain rod is Brocken so the curtain falls to the middle. This made for a very wet floor. AND I HAD ONE TOWEL.

My wife and I stayed here this past weekend 6/26/21. The first think I noticed about our room was the curtain was badly torn. Then I noticed there were no towels in the bathroom. that night while in bed I noticed the smoke alarm on the ceiling was disconnected. (a code violation). The next morning I wanted to take a shower and there was "NO HOT WATER". After complaining to the front desk I was told it was due to the "building being old". I can't make this up. We will never stay there again. I'd love to hear your reply.
