Hotel's Favourite
Overall excellent stay. The 1st room given to us had a weird smell. Asked for another room with no hassle. New room was really nice. Beds were very comfortable. Double Room was very spacious enough for 3 adults. Loved the extra seating in the room and the work desk was large. Free Breakfast everyday was very good. Had a very good choice of items, eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, toast, waffles, etc. I am a breakfast person so we looked forward to our morning meals. The lobby to eat in was very clean and we liked the choice of seatings. This hotel is better than the over 10 story 3 star convention hotel. If I was to choose again I would choose this hotel again.

Weekend in Pittsburgh for a concert at Mr. Smalls, then some sightseeing. This was close to Millvale and the strip district, and had some of the best pricing in the area for the amenities I was looking for: shuttle, pool, free breakfast, free WIFI. Also hoped for free parking, but even with paid parking, the daily rate was less than others in the area.
The hotel is modern and clean, albeit laid out a little weird- you park in the back on the second floor, and have to go downstairs for the check in desk. There are both stairs and elevators, so access is not an issue. And there is a door on the first floor street level, as well as a limited time parking area to pull up to that door and check in if you wanted to. Do not be intimidated by the neighborhood- the surrounding houses look a little worn, and there were some panhandlers around, but we came and went at all hours and never felt unsafe. Do mind traffic as there are some pretty large, somewhat confusing intersections nearby (though that seems to be kinda par for the course for the city).
Our room was nicely appointed, and we had a decent view of the city from the fourth floor (facing the main road). There is also a patio/deck on the sixth floor if you like wide city views.
The heated pool was wonderfully relaxing, but check if there are towels in the pool area before entering!
Breakfast included cereals, breads, waffles, small selection of yogurt and fresh fruit. There were also hot items- scrambled eggs and sausage for the two days we were there. I can't have gluten, so I was grateful for the hot items, but unfortunately the eggs were somewhere between rubbery and hard both days. Sausage was delicious though. And please stock more bananas!
The shuttle was very handy, especially when we got caught in a rain storm after walking across to the strip district for dinner. Make sure you take a card with the phone number at the front desk! The driver was super friendly and knew her way around well.
Mattress was a little too hard for our tastes, but the mix of squishy and firm pillows was great! and there were five of them for two of us, so we had options to get comfy with! WIFI was decent strength and easy to connect to. Our room faced the street and highways, but the street noise was minimal. Good blackout curtains, too.
Overall, we were happy with our stay. We felt safe, clean, and partner really enjoyed the waffle maker and yogurts at breakfast. Would stay again.

The good: The hotel is new and everything looks good. The staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful.
The bad: even though they are advertising a hot breakfast - they are not. It is microwave breakfast sandwiches and fruit because of covid. There were no other covid protocols being followed - no masks, no distancing, no visible cleaning after people were in the area, etc. The lady in the Breakfast area even handed the sandwich to me.I am tired of places hiding behind covid to not provide what they advertise to save money. They charge $12.00 to park which is ridiculous given they are not in a crowded area. The parking is not secure as I was awoken around midnight to a bunch of neighborhood kids running through the parking lot having a good time. Not sure what status membership gives as I was given a room over the exit on the 2nd floor, where people went out to smoke. You could hear every conversation. Best for last. In the middle of the night I was again awoken to someone on the floor yelling to be let into a room. After a few minutes, a growl of “NOW!”. That happened a few times before I heard a mellow “please?” and then it stopped.
I checked out and moved to the Hampton across the river, where parking was free and a full breakfast was provided. Wish I had done that for the first night also. Also had a room upgrade to a top floor with a river view.

New hotel in the historic Deutschstown area. Huge parking lot, everything is clean and new, you have to pull around to the back and go down the stairs or elevator to check in as the hotel is on a main street. Make sure to ask for a city view/patio key when you check in as the room keys won’t let you up there. Really could see ourselves hanging out up there to take in the views. Our room was huge and very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Right now with COVID you have to request a time slot for the pool and fitness area so you have it to yourself and they’ll clean in between people. Only a 20min walk to get to PNC Park and only 10min from a brewery and a few restaurants. Would stay again if I come back to Pittsburgh.

Had my bridal shower here in the event room on the top floor- WOW!! You cannot beat the views of the city with the floor to ceiling windows and lovely outdoor patio! Chase and his staff were an absolute pleasure to work with. They exceeded every expectation that we had from start to finish. Our food tasted excellent and everyone raved about our bloody Mary and mimosa bar. Spent 2 nights in the king room suite and was extremely satisfied with the room cleanliness and comfortability of the bed. There was even a wedding going on Friday night on the same floor and we could not hear anything. Very impressive. The parking lot had plenty of spaces and was easy to access. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was hot and staff was very attentive to keeping tables and breakfast bar area very clean. Chuck at the front desk was attentive and willing to help with any question that we had. Simply cannot recommend this hotel enough. Whether you want to hold an event here or just stay the night before/after a Steelers game, you will not be disappointed.

+1
This is a new property for the Choice line, just opened in December. It has incorporated all the updates which make for a great stay.
Spacious, comfortable lobby, which makes social distancing possible.
I booked two "Accessible" rooms for myself and other family members. (319 & 406) Plenty of power outlets for charging devices, and plenty of space to maneuver. Could use a little more counterspace around the sink in the bathroom, however.
The rooms were clean and very quiet and the beds were comfortable. We all slept very well.
Plenty of parking, but at a price PLUS TAX. (I don't remember seeing that cost mentioned when I booked.)
Staff were very friendly and efficient. Check in and out went very smoothly.
Breakfast was a "brown bag" package of breakfast sandwich, fruit, and granola bar plus a juice drink, to take back to your room. A nice way to handle it for COVID restrictions.
This will be our new "go To" when visiting relatives in the area.

This hotel started out on the wrong foot with me. I had requested a top floor room days ahead of time which was not honored. First time that has happened. When I pointed this out they explained that there was going to be a party on the top floor so I probably wouldn’t want to stay there anyway. I accepted their advice. Next, I was told there was a $15 charge for parking. When I pointed out this was not on their website I got a shrug. Next, our room was as far away from the elevator as possible. I realize someone has to be in that room but as a Choice Rewards member I expected better. But the topper was the inability to reliably access the internet our whole stay. When I complained at the front desk I was told, first that that wasn’t possible and secondly that maybe I would have to use my data. When I asked the gentleman who made that statement if he was going to pay for my data he agreed to come to the room and check it out. He agreed the internet was not working properly and “there must be something going on in the hotel”. Well, whatever was going on went on the whole time we were there. I had to go to the lobby to reliably access the internet. I have never stayed anywhere where this occurred, let alone one where I was paying $300/night. To add insult to injury when I went down to get coffee at 6:15(breakfast was at 7) there was none made. Again I have stayed at many hotels and I have NEVER encountered that. Needless to stay I won’t be staying at this hotel again.

We stayed here for the Green Day concert. Overall the hotel and our rooms were clean, but check in was a bit frustrating. We got there at 3 pm when you were allowed to check in. The front desk was in chaos. Three housekeepers called off which is not the fault of the hotel staff that was there but it made the check in process extremely difficult. The staff working weren’t too interested in helping us check in. Two staff members who were helping my husband and I and our friends check in abandoned us at the front desk mid check in. One appeared to leave because her shift was over and the other did yell something about going to help the housekeeper which I can appreciate but they could have communicated with us what they were doing. One lone person who just started her shift walked into the mess (there were lots of other people waiting to check in). She was not briefed on what happened. She was apologetic and did her best. They told us it would be a 15 minute wait for our rooms. It turned into an hour wait. Another staff member came to help but didn’t do too much but sit there. We ended up asking several times for our room after the housekeeper and who we think was the manager on duty said rooms had been put in the computer and said the staff could start assigning them. Overall the situation could’ve been managed better by the staff - the communication with guests wasn’t very good at all. Customer service was lacking. The room was clean but there was no hair dryer. I found out upon check out that they do have hair dryers but you have to ask the front desk. There should be a card in the room stating this. There is parking onsite at the hotel which is a plus. It’s walking distance to PNC park and they do have a free shuttle on the weekends which is nice. We did have an issue with how our door closed - we had to pull it really hard to get it latch closed (and test it to make sure it actually closed and locked). We did let the front desk know this and the woman working when we checked out seemed concerned about it and noted it for maintenance. Overall, we aren’t sure we would stay here again.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The location is excellent, within walking distance of the river and the bridges. The hotel itself is very clean and modern with a small, but clean pool. You have to pay for parking, but that is common in bigger cities. Lastly, the staff was wonderful! The gentleman working the front desk was excellent and the women providing breakfast were so polite and helpful. If we return to Pittsburgh, we will definitely return to this hotel!

Came out for a football game. Cleaning staff was rude. Front desk staff was nice but unhelpful when i pointed out some discrepancies in their ammenities on priceline. Dirty sink and drain so dirty and full of hair the shower wasn't draining. No free parking and no free wifi as stated either.
