We went to Pittsburgh for a get away with no children. So, lol, as is our luck the hotel was packed full of children. No ones fault, not anything to complain about - just a side note. We did request a room with the view of the city and you can see our view in the picture. Our room was on the second floor directly over the kitchen vent so there was the odor of a diner lingering in our room. The staff was wonderful and friendly. Dave the driver has been mentioned frequently in reviews of this hotel and I can see why. He is very helpful and courteous. We did extend our stay by one night and the hotel was very quiet the second night. The front desk even gave us a free appetizer coupon for the steakhouse across the street. This hotel is conveniently located for sporting events. We will look elsewhere in Pittsburgh the next time we want an adult get away but will stay when in town for a Steelers or Pirates game.

We came here for a two day getaway to attend the Pens game . The room was nice , although had a strange smell in our room like stale smoke when it was supposed to be non smoking . The hotel was very clean and accommodating. The location was ideal , close to the stadiums , bars , and restaurants. The hotel gave out $20 free vouchers to the Rivers Casino so we also got to go and play on their money. We decided to use their shuttle service (which I wish I had to go back and forth to PPG arena ) Dave the driver for the shuttle service was friendly and so helpful. We never had to wait , in fact he waited on us ! We also couldn’t figure out a place to grab dinner and he recommended a place and I’m so happy he did . He dropped us off at the restaurant, after picking and dropping us off at the casino and later drove us back to the hotel after dinner.

We booked this hotel because of it's location to the ballpark. The staff was very professional although not friendly. They did not explain many of the amenities nor did they take time to make small talk with us. We would have appreciated a few more minutes of their time to explain what the hotel had to offer us. Although we could see some things online, it would have been nice to hear it as well and make us feel welcomed for the price we paid to stay there. This hotel also does not require a key to enter it. We felt anyone could have entered and had access to the elevators which did not make us feel safe. The room was clean and quiet. Hallways were also very clean and overall the stay was nice.

First visit to Pittsburgh and I read all the reviews on here and hotel booking websites and this hotel came up as one of the best. Well...we wish we hadn't of booked this disappointing hotel I don't know where to start. Hodden costs not mentioned on booking websites, dispondant staff, rude staff, no managing of social distancing or managing of pool booking system, aweful breakfast and filthy rooms. We were close to leaving but I didn't want to ruin our families trip away. To be fair I found no real positive about staying at this hotel except its a great location for bars, restaurants and football/baseball stadiums. Upon arrival we were asked to pay $50 deposit for incidentals but we didn't have a mini bar, no room service or bar whatsoever. Told we would be refunded with 14 days after visit. The room was filthy, the bathroom had what looked like splashback sick on the door rims, handles and floor, marks all over the walls, splashed food or drink up the divider wall and on the bed heads. The sheets had stains and the room smelt very dusty and stale. The TV remote had white grot on it and the toilet had splash back on it. I am so glad we didn't spend much time in the room. Asked to speak to a manager the first evening and no one available would have to wait till the morning. Booked the family in for a swim only to go into the pool where a family who said they had been im there for 2.5 hours ( 90 min session) had all the rescue equipment like rings and poles in the pool as if it was a kids inflatable resort. Dangerous and no staff member checked at all considering a staff entrance was just outside and a steady flow of workers were in and out. Family also had inappropriate music playing. Tracked down a duty manager late in the evening but he was busy doing many things so I knew I was leaving in the morning so didn't want towaste his time as he wasn't very attentive as I asked about breakfast the next day. I understand that during covid the breakfast has had to be changed which is fine but there was only 2 offerings of something substantial a bagel with bacon, cheese or a bagel with egg and cheese. None of us eat cheese and I asked if there was anything else and told no you get what is here. So I asked the manager if I popped down early the next morning could I order 4x plain bacon bagels no cheese. He said yes. We did pop down the next morning only to be told no we can't do that we only have some deep fried cinnamon bread of some sort. Do not advertise breakfast only to be turned away and disappointed. 2nd to last disappointment was we were a family of 4 and our room had 2.5 towels. 2 large towels and 2 small towels. I asked the duty manager on the 2nd night and he said they would deliver these. Never saw them. Lastly I will mention the total disregard for covid rules set forth by the Pennsylvania government with regards to all hotel staff wearing a mask at all times. This clearly wasn't happening. HYATT YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!

From the crushed up cookie left by pervious guests, to the stain on the couch, to the closet broken door I was not very happy with our room. Check in staff was very nice, but I can't say the same for the morning staff. I asked for shampoo since all my room had was 3 conditioner bottles and they made me feel like a real inconvenience. I wanted to say, "I'm sorry to bother you, it won't happen again as long as you're working at the Hyatt."

We went to Pittsburgh for our Anniversary, and were quite disappointed in out stay at Hyatt. We were never told about a $16.00 + $6.00 tax per night for parking. That same $22.00 per night parking lot we had a homeless guy panhandling for money. We also were not advised in order to have your room cleaned you have to request it in the morning.

My family just checked out of the Pittsburgh North Shore hotel after a less than stellar stay. We arrived about 11:30pm on Sunday after driving from Detroit, and when we got into the room, we noted that there were no linens at all for the pull out bed. The room was booked for 2 adults and 2 childen, and I had done the online check at approximately 4pm earlier that the day, so it was clear that I would need to use the pull out. The only extra in the room was 1 pillow in the closet and when I inspected that, it looked as if there was an unwashed pillow case on it covered in makeup stains. We also found out that the toilet seat was broken, as when my 8 year old daughter went to sit to use it, the seat slid sharply and almost shot her onto the floor and the back of the seat flipped down and smacked her in the back of the head. My husband went down to the front desk to ask for linens and pillows for the bed, and to notify her that the toilet was broken. While he was able to obtain linens from her, three front desk lady said we couldn't get any more pillows because there was no housekeeping and nothing could be done about the toilet because there was no maintenance either. He said she was quite short and curt with him. It was now midnight and we were finding out that the kids weren't going to have a reasonable bed to sleep in. No options were offered to us, such a moving us to another room. As we settled in to try to get some rest, we noted the room was very run down, with wood side tables chipped and beaten up, brown water stains on the ceiling, and the glass side table to the pull out couch looked as if it had never been wiped down. We were disturbed enough by the state of our room that we chose to not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast because we were concerned about the cleanliness of the food station/preparation. My husband was eventually able to secure pillows for the second night of our stay the following day after having to ask again, but after explaining all the same concerns to the front desk lady, we were still not offered a new room or better accommodations, and it appears no one came to address the toilet, so using it was a problem every time. Hyatt is supposed to be a reputable hotel and name I can trust to book for my family, and it really fell short on what will likely be our only pass through Pittsburgh since we went out of our way during our road trip to visit this city. We quickly reported our concerns and issues as identified on site to give the opportunity to rectify the situation, and it was not handled during our stay.

We had stayed at this hotel in 2019 and thought it was great. This time was very disappointing. We were not welcomed at all as Hyatt Club members nor were we given any special gift upon arrival. The front desk staff were not very nice and not welcoming. The breakfast was terrible compared to what they offered 2 years ago. We were told that grab and go options would be available including hot sandwiches, but they did not have those. Only bagels, cereal, and microwaved pancakes were provided. This location used to offer eggs, potatoes, along with other full breakfast offerings. The pool was closed while other hotels had theirs opened after COVID. Trash was not removed from the rooms and clean towels were not offered. The price was still almost $400 per night even though many amenities were gone.

I could mention that the room was supposed to be on the upper floor and offer a view, but ended up as a 3rd floor room with a parking lot outside the window. Or I could mention that the complimentary breakfast was the very worst offering I've seen in my 40 years. But the overriding factory in our experience at this hotel was that we were interrupted twice by housekeeping, on the day of checkout, before the checkout time. The 2nd time, a man without a housekeeping cart knocked on the door, said "housekeeping", then attempted to enter the room while my female partner was sleeping. This is deeply offensive, and completely illegal. Had I not been in the room, my partner would have woken to a strange man standing above her bed.

The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and everything was at the proper temps. Rooms were nice and clean although my mini fridge could have been cooler.

There was one small issue which was quickly and professionally addressed immediately. I was awoken around 3 AM by another guest who was pacing the floor and having a very loud phone conversation. After 20-30 minutes I phoned the front desk to inform them of the trouble. The desk staff quickly responded and informed the guest they needed to return to their room or they were welcome to go down to the lobby to continue the conversation due to disturbing other guests.
