We booked this rather last minute to go to the Mets/Pirates games. It was just a short train ride to the stadium, which was fine. The rooms were clean and nice sized. The breakfast was in a large room with plenty to choose from each morning (although they could use another waffle maker since it is very popular). It was a hot week to visit and the A/C worked perfectly and was nice and quiet. We choose to valet park since there really didn't seem to be any options nearby to self park. The location was also fantastic for biking, all along the river, you can go on for miles and miles. One of the negatives, there really weren't many options to eat right around the hotel. You can cross the bridge and find the chain restaurants like Hard Cafe and Joe's Crab Shack but nothing right around the corner. Another note, there weren't any plugs on either side of the bed. I point this out because I like to sleep with the sound machine on my phone and the battery dies if it isn't plugged in all night. Survived :) by plugging it in across the room and making it louder but I thought the location of the plugs odd.

I stay here for two nights in early September. Room 705. When checking in, it's good to know that you may pull up in front and park in an area marked by white diagonal lines. This is for checking in, unloading and loading only. Parking is $24/day off site two blocks away (with in and out privileges). Large two-story atrium with TV, seating, a mini market and a glass enclosed conference room at one end. Friendly, helpful staff. Socially distance markings on the floor and large pump hand sanitizers available. Two luggage carts with triangular bases are available in this area. Breakfast was provided as takeaway: yogurt, breakfast sandwich to microwave, fruit cup, and orange juice or water. The room is an accessible room which I requested as (when available) I prefer the walk in shower and raised toilet. Room was very comfortable and (mostly) very clean.* Closet with iron and board, microwave, small fridge, one-cup coffee maker. Desk area. Plenty of towels, very comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of good lighting as well. *Regarding cleanliness: I discovered when looking for the TV remote, that the area behind the console under the TV had not been cleaned in some time. Though this was a bit of a shocking discovery, the district manager happened to be on-site that day and handled the situation purposefully and properly. This situation aside, I believe this was an anomaly as the rest of the room and the property in general was clean and well kept elsewhere. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is one of the more reasonably priced in the downtown area and is close in and a very walkable area.

The hotel is clean and seems newly renovated. The rooms are on the small side but very well designed, the space is small but does not feel small. I'd stay here again on business but would avoid with a family. The neighborhood feels a bit seedy and I would not suggest walking around alone at night. There is not a ton of walkable options for meals. The hotel breakfast is standard hotel fare, not great, not bad. However, the big drawback here is parking, it's valet only, and $38 per night plus tip, so make sure you factor that into your budget.

I have stayed here 3 times since 2020 ... the first stay during covid the staff were a little rude however since then i have had a great experience with every other aspect of each stay. on the other occasions staff were welcoming and friendly rooms are clean and very quiet with free strong wifi and most feature a nice view of mount Washington ,station square and the incline. the free breakfast is great and has a very large selection of food and drink as well as a comfortable seating area if you choose to eat there. if you are a guest the hotel will hold your luggage before/ after check out if you need a place to store them. and all public transit is walking distance A incidental fee of 20/30 is taken off your credit or debit card which is very reasonable compared to other hotels of this quality. will return again for sure

I spent 6 nights in this hotel, which is in downtown Pittsburgh. I was very distressed by the total lack of security. The hotel is on a main street, but there is minimal foot traffic. However, there is a homeless encampment a very short distance away. The front door is about 20 yards from the readily accessible elevator, where a room key is not needed to reach the rooms. There was rarely any hotel employee at the valet stand or the front desk, unless it was early in the morning.

The hotel is located next to a blighted property and a parking lot that cannot be used. Despite the hotel's location in front of the water, it is doubtful that any room would have a water view due to the position of the building.

Our room was fine. Not bad, not good, just fine. No housekeeping because of "COVID." We had what was supposed to be a larger, more expensive room with a king sized bed and sofa bed/separate living area and it was very small in size.

Breakfast was grab and go because of "COVID" and consisted of a cold prewrapped muffin, yogurt, and a cold Jimmy Dean sandwich that needed heated. I suppose guests are supposed to go up to their room to heat the sandwich and eat the breakfast.

I can live with all of the above even though it is not ideal. The issue I have is that the hotel claims to offer "Valet Parking," and I was, in fact, charged $24 per night for "valet parking" in a self park garage that is about 3 blocks from the hotel. Additionally, the weekend rates at the garage were half of what the hotel charged me on. the weekend that I stayed there.

I did not feel safe walking to the hotel from the garage at night and certainly would AVOID at all costs during the winter.

I called Marriott about this issue and never got any resolution.

There are much better, safer, larger options for the same price.

I can overlook all of that

Stayed for two nights on a business trip. This property is just a few years old and in nice condition. Quiet room despite being in the middle of everything and next to a highway -- the only drawback was loud emptying of a dumpster in the middle of the night both nights.

The breakfast buffet was pretty standard hotel fare, but the attendant was one of the most caring and friendly people I've ever met! She asked us all about our plans in Pittsburgh and went out of her way to make sure all of our needs were addressed. I didn't get her name, but the hotel management should at least let her put out a tip jar.

We stayed 5 nights, it was nice quiet accommodation. Front office staff always helpful with directions for us Aussie tourists. Breakfast had a great selection of food/ drinks which was good. We would definitely stay here again. This place isn't far from Public Transport aswell. I loved that they have a washing machine and dryer that you can use on floor - M which accepts card. Free washing powder and dryer sheets from the front desk.

We stayed here this past weekend when we were in Pittsburgh to visit the U of Pitt and Carnegie Mellon U. The location of this hotel is right on the water (I can't remember which river it was as there are 3...

Rooms are a little small but are fine. The second floor mezzanine serves breakfast and turned out to be a great place for my kids to study in the afternoons in between college visits. The hotel staff are fantastic- professional, friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Parking is a few blocks away from the hotel and runs like $24/night. There's not much to do for food or drink within a block or two of the hotel, but most of downtown is walkable from here.

Overall excellent property, very well managed and clean. I'd definitely recommend it and I'd stay here again for sure.

I preface this by saying it was a sad and teen daughter making a stop on a road trip. The hotel is really great and I highly recommend it. Rod was the front desk worker and he was amazingly personable and more than helpful. There is free parking behind the hotel so you can feel safe leaving your car. The room was clean and air conditioned. We had a quiet night. The shower was great too! There is no safe in the room, however we felt safe leaving our goods. One interesting thing in the room was a light shade to pull over the window which had tree tops on it, creating a nice vibe. The location is great and we recommend walking across the bridge and taking the tram up the mountain. Overall, it was a great stay and we highly recommend this hotel.

I just stayed here the first weekend in June and parking was $24 per night, but it is self-park in a lot that is 3 blocks from the hotel.
