The Drury Plaza Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown garners praise for its blend of extensive amenities—including complimentary breakfast and evening meals—and a prime location that offers easy access to local attractions. Guests are charmed by the unique atmosphere of a former bank with its impressive ceiling and the cleanliness of both rooms and common areas.
The hotel's standout service, with staff members known for their exceptional helpfulness, amplifies the property's value. While some guests note occasional valet delays and dated room decor, the overall sentiment is one of satisfaction and good value.

Detailed Reviews
The Drury Plaza Hotel was one of the best values we have experienced. The downtown Pittsburgh location was convenient, clean, and secure. The room was tastefully decorated and functional. The heating unit was quiet and effective. The beds were comfortable and had high quality linens.
Breakfast was included with the bargain room rate. The breakfast food quality was okay, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, but the powered eggs were nothing to write home about. They had the best tasting orange juice I have ever had. The coffee, when available, was adequate. Their Happy Hour was essentially a four-course dinner, chips, hotdogs, and chili soup with three free alcoholic beverages for each guest. Their margaritas were excellent, though small - what more would one expect for "free".
Valet parking was available, but there were three parking garages with low weekend rates, within an easy walking distance, so we opted for the public parking. We would recommend the hotel to families, and anyone who enjoys a good value. We know where we'll be staying the next time we are in Pittsburgh.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed one night to explore Pittsburgh on way to Poconos. Was pleasantly surprised all around with this property. First, the service was amazing. Everyone and I mean everyone from front desk, to bar staff, to kitchen staff, to valet were all incredibly nice and went above and beyond to show me around and explain things. The evening reception was excellent and included free hot foods including pulled pork, Mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, salad, hotdogs and chicken noodle soup and 3 drinks for $2. The bar upstairs had excellent service, drinks and decent pizza and TV’s in both areas to watch football. Breakfast included your standard hot buffet of scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits gravy and potatoes and waffles and your continental items. The hotel was very clean and beds were of decent comfort. The valet prom was great but a little pricey at $40. We never waited long to get our car despite it being crowded. Narrow driveway to enter but manageable. Rooms were clean and comfy. For the price I think it was worth all that was included. With the way of the world and all of its service disappointments lately this was a very refreshing stay and kudos to the staff for being so very attentive and nice about it. Hoping management does all they can to keep them. Service with a smile was the best part. As far as location it was ok it has a trolley stop across the street but we had to drive to places. I give Drury a huge thumbs up and have to say I was extremely impressed and I feel a little hard to please.

We really enjoyed this hotel! We generally prefer the Drury chain. It was a convenient location for the purpose of our visit. The room was clean and very comfortable. The morning breakfast was standard fare, and was continuously refreshed, as was dinner. There was an adequate seating each time we went. The atmosphere is different because it used to be bank, the ceiling in the dining area is amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfectly nice hotel rooms. We got the cheapest room with a window on an airshaft.
I liked the quiet. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had a tub. The front desk staff were very pleasant, but don't expect to be offered help with luggage. The hotel is a big draw for families because rooms come with a large breakfast buffet (adequate) and free food (e.g., potato bar, hot dogs) from 5:30-7 pm every night. It also has a reasonably sized pool. Downtown location meant you could walk to restaurants and scenic buildings and plazas (I did a self-guided walking tour), but there's also some panhandling in the area.

The Drury was a very nice hotel - great service. Parking was not free but they tell you where a very reasonable parking garage is that’s only a couple blocks away. I loved the popcorn machine in the lobby! They also offered free buffet happy hour meals (very popular). When I was there it was Taco Tuesday- nothing fancy but it was free so I couldn’t complain. Comfortable bed and room. I’d definitely stay here again when in town.

Beautiful, comfortable hotel well located in the Downtown, a stone's throw from the Amtrak train station, at the intersection of the city's two major axes: Grant Street and Liberty Avenue.
So ideal for discovering Pittsburgh.
Housed in the city's former Federal Reserve Bank.
Large rooms with all amenities.
Quiet and safe, with an indoor swimming pool on the 8th floor open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Hearty and varied breakfast, both hot and cold.
Plus an advantage: every evening a free buffet from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Kickback, with soups, vegetables, meats, a hot dish every day (pulled pork, meatball, chili con carne...) hot dogs, nachos and a drink offered at the bar. All in the huge hall and its ceilings...

The whole experience was wonderful. From the very nice lady in reception to the absolutely wonderful, comfortable room. There was a free evening meal available with complimentary drinks if required. The room was huge, with double queen beds, a very clean bathroom, free WiFi and tv with a range of channels including sports! And then there was those beds! So so comfortable with clouds for pillows. For two weary travellers like us, we hit the pillows and were asleep in minutes. Definitely recommended. If we ever visit the city again, we will certainly be staying there. Ten out of ten.

This hotel and its’ location couldn’t have been any better for attending a convention at the Convention Center. It’s a two minute walk and the back door of the hotel is very handy
There are plenty of restaurants within a block or two. The famous bridges and river are a short walk.
Included breakfast and dinner is a huge perk which means there is great value here. The food was more than adequate, hot and delicious.
Rental bikes are a block away.
The staff here were so helpful and friendly. Valet parking has been amazing and efficient.
My “room” was upgraded to a suite and it was massive and comfortable albeit dark with a view of a building. Perfect for someone only in their room to rest or sleep. If you will spend a lot of time in your room I recommend asking for one that gets more sunlight.
I highly recommend this hotel

I immediately received great guest service after checking into my upper floor room and finding a very unattractive view of a huge slab white wall. The hotel agent cheerfully showed me an alternative room which had great views of the street below and the Pittsburgh skyline; I moved in.
The daily hot breakfast and dinner make this hotel a bargain IMHO. Served on china plates with real silverware, they rotate main dishes and always have baked, mashed or breakfast potatoes.
The hotel's location couldn't be better. Within easy walking distance are multiple coffee shops, a subway station, an airport bus stop, a post office and convenience stores. To my surprise, I was able to get my second Covid booster shot as a walk-in at a nearby CVS.
Hotel staff is friendly, my room was comfortable. This hotel is a top-notch choice.
