Welcome to the Myer Country Motel where for over 75 years our standards of innkeeping excellence have been our trademark. Nestled among the Pocono Mountains of North Eastern Pennsylvania, the cottages sit on four acres with blue spruce and white pine trees lining the courtyard. The Myer Country Motel was established in 1945 by Ralph and Matilda Myer. Ralph remarried in 1952 to Audubon Winfield and they together continued to run the motel well into their 80's until their daughter, Audubon Cox, took over in 1975. She brought her energy and knack for decorating to the motel to give it a country home feel. Many people comment that this is their "home away from home". In June 1995 the third generation took over to continue the family business. Today you'll find the same warm, country friendliness that has set us apart for over 75 years. We hope you will visit us soon!

Detailed Reviews
This is a lovely place to stay. The cabins are a great size, clean and very comfortable. Showers had strong water pressure. This is an older motel, but they have kept up the cabins nicely and the price is great! I would definitely stay here again and much prefer it over a chain hotel. The location was also great and sits on a private large lot off the main busy road.

Clean, cute, comfortable cottages make for an enjoyable stay. This is a family-run motel with a homey feel and friendly service at the reception desk (which also—take note—runs on family hours). Cost is reasonable. Internet is free but (at least in our unit) often slow and unresponsive. Coffee is available in each cottage room, as well as a mini-frig, but no breakfast is included. Free parking for one vehicle next to each unit. The town of Milford, where it is located, offers a quaintly beautiful downtown with some good restaurants. By all means worth a stop along I-84.

What a fantastic find!! Kept searching for a place to stay for a little getaway with the wife and came across this place. Kept on reading the reviews and kept looking around and kept coming back to look at this place again. We are so happy that we picked this place! Great old fashioned lodging and very roomy. Well kept up inside and outside. We were so pleased. Really nice firm beds and received housekeeping service everyday which was great since COVID hit and changed things. That was a great plus for us since we like fresh towels everyday. When we walked into our room it smelled so nice and fresh and not like a disinfectant closet!! The office staff were so nice and helpful and very friendly. One thing we really loved was how quiet the rooms were. No one banging and stomping overhead or on the sides of you like you get in many lodgings these days. No loud door banging in the hallway either!! Just so quiet and peaceful even though you are not far from the main road. The room was well kept and updated. You can tell they take pride in this motel. Thank you to the whole staff of this Motel for a great stay. Whenever we want to get away again we will get ahold of you.

I do not recommend to young families or younger couples. The owners (especially the misogynistic male owner) are very rude and discriminating toward younger couples or younger families. Making rude remarks that they had a “bad feeling” and “something is not right” being a younger family staying here because we were locals. My wife and I felt very unwelcome here due to the rude comments and the unjust way we were treated after taking around $1000 from us for a week get-away vacation spent here. We also had to Clean our own room upon arrival due to dust and cob webs - almost like this cabin has not been in service for the past year. We made no complaints to them and simply just cleaned up when we arrived and maintained to clean up after ourselves and gave them the benefit of the doubt, just to be berated with rude comments. If you plan a trip here or if you are a local looking for a little weekend vacation , think again, because I’d rather pay more money to be in a cleaner place with a more hospitable host then to be disrespected and discriminated for being from the younger generation. I will also be contacting the PA better business borough to share my thoughts because ironically I have read other reviews with this exact complaint. If I could leave a review with something less then “terrible” I would. They don’t deserve the business

Super friendly owners, super clean, porch is a huge bonus along with a beautiful lawn/trees. Stayed in 3 different rooms - same cleanliness and private/home feeling. Add close location of the river beach, eating places, cute little town’s streets - and you ll get perfect summer getaway💕 Overall - just love it and can’t wait to go back.

In the middle of an evening thunderstorm we pulled into Milford and found this cute motel. Not a chain but unique rooms with two motel rooms in each small building. The place was clean and the beds comfortable. The person who checked us in and again out in the morning was so friendly and able to recommend places to eat to weary travelers.

We arrived at the motel on Monday, August 15. The check in process was easy and we were in our room within 5 minutes.
The room was clean and very comfy. The king sized bed was the perfect firmness and the sheets soft and very comfortable. Double sinks, beautiful clean bathroom, coffee maker and fridge! Absolutely perfect.
Loved the little sitting area and the front porch with chairs all set up was perfect.
The staff were quiet and very stealth - like when coming in to clean! We never knew that they were around, yet if we needed something, they were there within 2 minutes.
Since our daughter lives down that way, I can see us using the Myer Country Motel as our remote home base when visiting.
Thank you so much for your services! You all made our stay extremely pleasant and relaxing! See you again soon! Give Finnegan a pet from us please!!

This is not a luxury hotel, but a motel with charming free-standing rooms . Rooms are large and super clean despite decor being somewhat dated — in other words, things aren’t just clean because they’re new, they are kept clean regularly. Bathroom, baseboards, doors, floors, beds … I was impressed. Hot water right away, and plenty of it. Perfect pillows and clean crisp sheets. The only negative was that the room took a while to heat up, but that’s just because these rooms seem geared toward summer vacation and this was late November.
Also, you can tell it’s a family-owned motel by the customer service. I would definitely stay here again.

I like this place, for all the reasons that others have mentioned. We stayed there another time, in May 2021. Both times the reason for our visit was that it is part-wqy between our home in Vermont and family in Virginia and we needed to break up the long trip. However this time the price was about 50 percent higher than when we were there two years ago (maybe bc it is high season or a weekend?) and i miss the funky old-fashioned furnishings although I'm sure many people will appreciate the (necessary) updates to the aging property. I particularly like the sense that one is staying in a "tourist cabin" and the fact that it is really quiet even though close to a major road. Given that all we really needed was a place to sleep for the night, with some advance planning it would probably be worth the effort to find a less expensive place rather than pay the "new" rates.

A cute place to stay if you don’t mind a dated room. The cabin was good for what it was. Clean, cute porch, bed was fine, big fridge. The bathroom really needs a vent/fan, my asthmatic partner likes to take steamy showers and there was condensation everywhere after he did that. The TV was also very old and small. Main negative here is that the wifi was super slow and not great, and the cell service is very spotty in this area. Also, I wish the vending room would’ve had bottled water, they only had sodas. Overall beautiful property and friendly owners, price was right!

No kitchenette, but a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room.
Yes we do.
