My wife and I stayed 1 night (between visiting the Storm King Art Center near Fishkill, NY and the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA), arriving at 2 PM.
The young receptionist checked my ID, processed our Master Card and issued the key card to the room next door to this central office. Room #2 was spacious with a comfortable king, dresser unit with microwave, refrigerator and small TV(nice 100+ channel guide), desk with coffee maker and chair, another chair, and a large fully outfitted bathroom with tub shower(quiet active exhaust).
The open room WIFI worked fine, the wall AC unit was unobtrusive and the road noise from busy I-84 just 150 yards away was somewhat muted by the insulated window and blackout curtain.
This old roadside 21 room motel is nicely outfitted, well maintained (road noise issue) offering a nice stay at $92.65/night.

My daughter and I have been coming to the area and staying at the Best Western every February for a decade.
While some people may appreciate the upgrades BW made recently we felt like it list it's warm feel and so decided to try somewhere else.
I'm glad we did!
The rooms have unique and interesting designs ( not the same ol cheap $5 framed paintings ) and are cozy. They are also VERY clean!
The owner and her son went out of their way to make sure we were happy wit our accommodations and enjoyed our stay.
As everyone else mentions, don't miss a trip to the diner next door. There's some really great choices. I had the Greek Warrior breakfast and it didn't disappoint.
As for noise from the road. It is what it is in this town. Like I said, I've been staying right down the road for years and the big chains aren't any more quiet.
All in all I'm happy we stayed. I'll stay again.

I have now stayed at this Scottish Inn several times. I have found it to be convenient right off I-84. A quick phone call to make a reservation has always been easy. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and well appointed with TV, microwave, refrigerator and small coffee maker. The beds are comfortable and depending on the season either the air conditioner or heat keep the room temperature just right.
Management is always very friendly and conscientious about providing a positive stay for their guests.
And it is also convenient to park my car right by my room making unloading and loading quick and easy.
Always a positive experience!

I have stayed at this motel many times through the years. The rooms are clean and comfortable and they have all the basics and more. I return to the Scottish Inn because it provides a consistent, clean, comfortable place to sleep and to hang out. Don’t let the plain exterior deter you. This place is well cared for with great beds, USB plugs and outlets next to the beds and on the desk, microwaves and great refrigerators. It’s an old style motel that has kept up with the times. It’s a convenient place to stay while you enjoy the area.

Rooms are all clean and tidy. Bathrooms and beds are clean and spotless. Rear window has a nice relaxing view of nature as well. Staff is friendly.
Walmart, Taco Bell, mc donalds, pizza, Verizon wireless, and staples Are about a ten min walk OR a 1-2 min drive in car. I would recommend this place to anyone.

After reading reviews we decided to give Scottish Inn a try on our way from FL to NH and I’m so glad we did. The room had been renovated and was very clean with a comfortable king bed. Anna checked us in and escorted us to our room to insure everything was in order and was there to answer any questions we had. It is located right off of the interstate however with the A/C on we did not hear any road noise and there were gas stations and restaurants close by. FYI The dinner next door was very good. All in all this is a great and affordable place to stay, I highly recommend it! K Carlton

Just a beautiful little property with a handful of updated rooms that we thoroughly enjoyed during a weekend stay in the first part of June. The freshly paved parking lot shows the commitment of the owners to a full update of this piece of Americana. Our room was a king with plenty of room. The bathroom was very clean with a tub and shower. The grounds were immaculate and the owners and staff were very pleasant and accommodating. A wonderful old-school diner is right next door (don't miss it!) and there is a nice view of the hills of the Deleware Valley right out your front door. Be sure and take the scenic Valley Drive which is just minutes from this great property! Can't wait to go back next year!

want a clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower and quiet nites sleep...this place checks all the boxes. Friendly staff/owners have done a great job renovating this older style motel into a pleasing lodging experience. Receptionist will suggest eating at the 50'style diner next door...we went and found the place to be worth eating at...friendly attentive staff serving good food with huge portions. Benny Goodman era music playing while you eat. Highly recommend both places.

We were traveling through PA. This was a great find for the price. Super clean. We arrived late and they were accomodating. I am grateful. It is a great choice for someone with special needs. Your vehicle is right outside your room and most of the rooms are accessible without stairs. I would use this hotel again. Super convenient to the highway. You will be pleased.

This place a nice small motel on the side of 206 right by a Walmart and a bunch of other places to stock up on supplies. The people who work here are so friendly and helpful being new to the area was not an issue. I’ve at the Hilton inn down the road and I’m not going back now that I know about this place

North Carolina Mountains, North Carolina14 contributions2 helpful votesCan you accommodate a small 5 pound dog she is 13 and just sleeps in her kennel
I don't think they take pets; however, they are very responsive. I would call and ask, describing your situation.
I did see a small dog when I stayed. I would call them direct. The owners are very responsive to requests. I am sure they will suggest another place if they cannot accommodate you. Tell them you saw their hotel on Trip Advisor. They are very conscious of referrals from previous customers. Hope you enjoy your trip!
I hope not!!
