Great Birthday trip for my Wife! Awesome in house restaurants and in room dining! Really Nice rooms and decorations. The in house amenities were a plus! I'd Recommend the King Bed room with plenty of extra space.

The best DTree hotel we've ever stayed.
The rooms, halls, common areas and pool were very clean. And the system of reserving the pool time one party at a time is a very smart one (considering a Covid situation). The layout of the rooms and bathrooms and the way they appointed are very comfortable (we stayed 2 times in different rooms). Mattresses and pillows were great, linens and bath towels were very clean and looking new. And all the appliances worked well too.
The front desk managers we've interacted (particularly young man named Bill) were welcoming, courteous, and accommodating to our needs.
We were very impressed with them, and the service provided by two lovely ladies named Jackie Fong and her helper Aruja (as well as with the quality of the food which was fresh, hot, tasty and was delivered promptly) at breakfast time.
A big plus for us was discovering a net of lovely trails going around hotel and the corporate buildings nearby. It was great to get fresh air walks in the morning and evening times. Also there are some good restaurants not far around.
So, after all said above we have no doubts we are going to stay here again.
Thanks to the whole team for making our stays enjoyable.

Accommodating staff, comfortable beds, reasonable rates. Housekeeping was responsive although room cleaning must be requested by 9PM the previous evening.(likely due to pandemic). I did not like that front desk promised a wheelchair would be ready and waiting or an arriving guest and it didnt happen.

I recently stayed in one of the suites for a friend’s wedding. First, there was a very strong chemical smell like new carpet or an industrial cleaner smell. I thought this could be remedied by opening the windows, but unfortunately the windows did not open in our room. Second, there was no fan in the bathroom so when showering all the steam just built up and stayed in the room. I would have loved to have complained, but the room was in my friend’s name and she was fine with the experience so I sucked it up for one night. In the times of Covid, it’s so important to have access to fresh air and good ventilation. I grew up in the area and everyone always said how nice the Desmond was. Maybe that was true 20 years ago, but I was unimpressed.

The rooms are dated and dark. No updates in years…no USB ports…better bring your own adapters. Reduced service where Hilton can save money in the name of covid otherwise, revenue generating services like rooms, restaurants and bars are operated at full capacity.

Great venue for 2 night stay for wedding guests. Easy to work with management to arrange room block, group meals and transportation. King suite was great for entertaining friends. Desk did a great job handing out welcome bags and cleaning staff turned over rooms quickly for early checkins. My guest love that there was pool, tennis court, restaurant and bar. Close to many restaurants and activities.

I stayed as part of a 2.5-day conference in late July 2024.
For my room: The room was very clean and comfortable. Linens were wonderful, AC worked well and adjusted to changes in desired temperature quickly, bathroom was very clean and well-appointed, shower was hot and shower-head gave a comfortable, large spray. There was a hair dryer and iron/board, but I didn't need either. Wi-fi worked without any problems. Room was quiet (though in the bathroom, you can hear the shower from a nearby room - next door? or next floor? but it wasn't disturbing or noticeable in the actual sleeping/working area of the room) for working and concentrating. A great business-class experience!
We also used the pool - it's shallow (3ft to 5 ft deep) but worked well enough for simple water aerobics. It was warm, the towels and shower room were convenient, and day-long open hours were very handy. We didn't use the fitness equipment, but it seemed to be working well for others. Disposable earphones were available. Again, the hotel provides extra towels and a shower room (inside the bathroom) right in the pool/fitness area.
For the conference: meeting rooms were comfortable with appropriately useful furniture, tech worked well (though may have been provided by our organization? I'm not sure). The rooms were of a size that it was easy to hear the speaker, and to interact with other attendees, and there was no noise spill-over from other rooms nor the hallway when the meeting room doors were closed. Our lunches and an evening banquet were very well-presented and attended to (buffet style, promptly refilled) and tasty. Coffee and tea was always ready and hot (the hot water was sufficient to brew good tea, something I've found rare with almost all caterers, so bravo, Desmond!), and there were a variety of cold drinks in the nearby refrigerated coolers.
I've been to dozens of business-class experiences in hotels around the country, and was very impressed with the Desmond. I would definitely stay here again, and happily attend another conference here!

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I ordered a cheeseburger from room service and it was probably one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. It was a suggestion from the front desk staff when I asked where I could get a quick bite to eat at 8:30 pm.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at The Desmond Hotel Malvern. The grounds are very pretty and we enjoyed being outside of the hustle and bustle of Philadelphia. The staff at the front desk were friendly, helpful, and always willing to please. If I called down to the front desk because I needed something, it was brought up right away. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable. I did find the bathroom and shower to be a bit small, but it was fine for a few days. I also found the pillows to be a little too soft, but that’s just my opinion. The restaurant was also very good. They normally have three restaurants, but because of COVID everything runs out of one restaurant. The servers were very friendly and attentive. They accommodate food allergies well. I have a nut allergy and one waitress took a picture of a food label from the back kitchen on her phone and brought it out to me so I could read the ingredients. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely come back again!

Rooms are very noisy and had to sleep with earplugs which shouldn't be necessary in a hotel in this price range. We stayed for 2 nights and room wasn t cleaned after first night.
We also had an issue with money taken off our credit card by mistake. The hotel corrected the mistake partly; because of currency difference and costs the credit card company charges for foreign currency payments the fault of the hotel costed us money. I mentioned this when checking out and they said they would solve this. However haven't heard from them since.

Mary, did you use a debit or credit card? We don't pre authorize either one. Sometimes your bank may hold one nights room and taxes once the card is used at a hotel. If you used a credit card there isn't any reason we would authorize anything. I can help you by calling and sending communication to your bank to release any hold that may exist. How can I reach you? My number is 610-248-2133, and it would be my pleasure to help you. Sincerely, Michael Chain; General Manager. The Desmond Great Valley.
Yes, Mary, our suites have them. However we rarely say no even if you reserved our well appointed King or double Queen room. Please contact the hotel directly to book and we can make that note on your reservation. 1-800-575-1776. Thank you for your interest in the Desmond!
