We stayed in the Benjamin Franklin Suite which included a bedroom, sitting room, and 2 bathrooms, one of which was beautifully tiled and had 3 shower nozzles. The room was spacious and the furnishings were comfortable. The decor was Colonial which was the reason we chose the General Warren. Given Covid restrictions, our breakfast was delivered to our door in the morning at the time we requested. We had warm, fresh-baked pastries, juice, coffee, yogurt, and fruit: all delicious. The staff members we encountered were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We ate dinner at the restaurant on Friday night - a party of 7. The tables were well-spaced; the staff masked; and we all enjoyed our food. The lobster on a waffle was a treat! We will definitely return. Thank you to everyone who made us feel welcome and cared for, above and beyond.

This historic property is lovely with only 8 rooms. We stayed in the smallest room on the third floor and looked in to see almost all the other rooms. We had more than enough space a sitting area with fireplace, a comfortable bedroom and spacious bathroom. The building and grounds are well maintained and we got to sit on the 2nd floor deck and in the gardens.
The owner was delightful to talk with and he provided us with a brief historical background. All staff in the hotel and restaurant were amazing very helpful and they couldn't do more to help us during our visit.
Our first night our group of four had dinner in the main floor dining room and we all had excellent meals the foods were expertly prepared as ordered and all were delicious. You cant go wrong with any meal ordered off the menu. But someone must order the outstanding lemon cake dessert!
The two of us had to return on our 2nd night to have dinner outside downstairs. The owner set us up for dinner in a small stone structure with a trellis roof. We had a wonderful meal and stayed to enjoy the live music which was being performed.
As mentioned all our meals were delicious and all were enjoyed. We had the salmon, beef wellington, scallops and steak frites. Fell in love with the lemon cake dessert.
Staying at the Inn we got to enjoy the breakfast offerings. Their pastry chef prepares a wonderful assortment of baked goods.
What a wonderful discovery and we had a great visit with amazing meals.
Loved the staff.
Sorry that we live 2.5 hours way but would highly recommend the General for a dinner or a weekend visit.
Greatly enjoyed our visit.

This is a beautiful historic Inn with a fantastic restaurant and tavern. When I arrived, I was greeted by the innkeeper and was given the choice of a slightly larger room than what I had booked. It was lovely and had a sitting room, along with a bedroom and private bathroom. I felt like I was in an apartment. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a great night’s sleep.

For dinner, I was seated in the front porch area and had the vegan options. The flatbread with strawberry tahini appetizer was surprisingly delicious, and I would have been satisfied with just that, but I also ordered the tandoori tofu, which was also really good. I enjoyed my lemon cake back in my room for dessert.

I would highly recommend this inn for any couples or solo travelers in the area. The price is extremely reasonable for what you get, and the rooms are much nicer than a regular hotel. Looking forward to coming back!

Amy our server was rude and inattentive! It was like we were bothering her ! She was Not friendly from the start and Never was accominating! She said they couldn't promise bringing fries quickly even after I requested them from the other so friendly attentive server . Amy served me lobster with No drawn butter .Ready for this ,?she said they didn't have any .In my 30+ years of fine dining ,I Never been told this.We would of liked another drink or even a refill on our waters but she Never came back after serving our entrees!
Speaking of those , I got a fatty burned on edges NY strip steak and overcooked lobster claw meat and like I mentioned earlier , couldn't even get drawn butter .We had to ask for bread in this supposed long time fine dining establishment.

We are 3 brothers who, with our wives, stayed 3 nights at the General Warren Inn. Everything about this experience was exquisite. The rooms are extremely spacious and cozy and each features a different eclectic style. The grounds are exceptionally well maintained and there are numerous areas to sit and relax. The staff could not be more accommodating and were always available if we needed anything. We decided to eat at the lovely restaurant at the inn which, at least during the time we were there (over a weekend), attracts considerable dinner traffic. We were so impressed with dinner on the first night, that we decided to eat there during the second night as well. Our waiter Tom was highly professional and solicitous but was also very personable and was a pleasure to meet. All in all, this was a memorable experience and is likely a venue to which we will return. Special thanks to Helaine who helped us start each morning with a smile and simple but delicious breakfast.

Our daughter and her husband had their wedding at General Warren Inne. What an amazing venue! The Presidential Suite was perfect for her bridal party to get ready and the proprietors went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for their special day. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff were courteous and very professional. It was a perfect day.

Rather than dine in we decided to try the take home meal. To say it was disappointing would be a understatement. The beef wellington was a nice portion of a good cut. The sear however was beyond burnt with that taste throughout the pastry. The scallops, were worst, burnt and in a tasteless sauce and that was the entire meal. Two small rolls also not worthy of comment.

A week ago I sent a note to the restaurant, no response.

I took my team here for our team dinner. We were set up in a private room with a wood burning fire place. We were given a brief history of the General Warren Inne.

Our meal and the service were outstanding. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. A few members of my team were adventuresome and tried new things like the snapper soup.

I loved the honey bourbon old fashion cocktail.

I had my sons wedding rehearsal here and I can not say enough about the General Warren, Great staff, great food, beautiful atmosphere. Patrick was so helpful and accommodating. Our waiter Brian treated us like family and was the best waiter I have had in a long time. Anyone that does not choose this place for any occasions they have comin up will miss out on excellence.

Pleasant evening under the outdoor tent. Great food, pleasant staff, safe surroundings. Lovely restored revolutionary inn proving excellent food. Plenty of parking. Convenient to reach: tucked away into the beautiful Pennsylvanian countryside.
